The ashes that remained of Lorwich, had found its way drifting in the air, filling the clouds with darkness.
The village now remained history, all that was left of it was gone.
Moving past rivers, woods and plains with weak feet, were Pavlos, Aiden, Elpida, Bellona, traveling together looking for a place to stay.
Pavlos managed to lift the few things he recovered from the fire, his weapons mainly, and little water he had saved from springs.
The turmoil which befell their village had grown them so close to each other, they were all they had. They had to rely on one another, care for each other and Survive together.
Elpida still had pain written on her face, losing both parents at the same time right before her eyes, made her question life.
She felt helpless.
Bellona on the other hand, had accepted fate after all.
Ever since her uncle made those statements about her, she knew whatever was to come her way, she must be prepared for. And this was just one of them.
She knew not what had become of her uncle and aunt. Were they killed? or were they roaming the earth, somewhere faraway? She thought to herself.
"Are you okay?"
Aiden watched Elpida as she struggled to keep up.
"I'm fine" She whispered to him.
He doubted that. It was obvious she was far from being fine. Physically, she didn't seem weak, but emotionally, she was.
"We have to keep moving" Pavlos said to them.
"These parts aren't safe for anyone" He added.
A white light sailing in a fast motion, with wind circling around it, halted them in their tracks.
Hands already in Scabbard, Aiden drew his sword out instantly, watching the light sail to the ground, and then slowly transform into a lady.
The lady appeared to be Zephyra who had a soft smile on her face, and a piercing gaze on Pavlos.

"We meet" She uttered, her eyes never leaving him.
Confusion was written on each of their faces, as they all stared at Zephyra, in awe of her radiance and beauty.
"Do you know her?" Aiden whispered to Pavlos.
No response came from Pavlos, instead, he had his gaze locked with Zephyra's.
"That's a topic for another day, right now I'm only here for one person. Bellona Maynard"
Fear crept over Bellona as she stared back at Elpida wondering how she knew who she was.
"Who are you?" Aiden finally voiced out.
"I'm the only one who can save you from what you're currently going through. And that's all you need to know"
"If you doubt me, you could ask your friend here, Pavlos. He knows so much about me"
The manner in which she pronounced 'Pavlos' made it seem like she was trying to get used to it.
"You all have to head north. You'll find shelter there" She said to them.
No one said a word to her, they seemed terrified, yet fascinated.
"It's either that, or you fall into the hands of Cedric's army once more"
There was beauty in the way she spoke. Beauty, Grace and Elegance, radiated from her.
"Your choice"
"If you don't trust me, you could at least trust your friend Pavlos. He knows I'm always right"
Pavlos held his weapon tight, and then tore his gaze off her.
Without saying a word, he began walking off.
"Where are you going?" Bellona called out.
"North" he uttered.
Grabbing the few things they managed to leave with, Bellona tagged along, following him behind.
Elpida stepped forward following Aiden and Bellona behind, but halted in her tracks when she felt a touch on her. So powerful, it felt like electricity surging through her.
She looked at her wrist, and saw the warm arms of Zephyra pulling her.

The hold was light, yet felt like a thousand people had their arms on her.
"You've got a lot to achieve Elpida Larsen
You've got powers so great, mine's nothing compared to it. Trust your spirit, do not deny it. Fight for yourself, never betray the ones you love"
"You have a part to play in this quest. One so great"
Aiden appeared confused, his eyes watching the both of them.
A lot had happened lately, things he never thought of. Things he never knew existed.
He raised his head up to check on Pavlos and Bellona, looking to see if they were still in sight.
Fair enough, they hadn't gotten far.
Saying one last word, A smile beautified Zephyra's lips, as she backed away slowly.
After dropping the message, her long white hair swayed in sync with the breeze of nature while she drifted away.
"What quest?!" Elpida questioned, but got no parry as she was already gone.

Bad is an Understatement | ✓
"I don't know who you think you are coming here, and acting like you don't care about anything. Now listen here Princess, because I'm not going to repeat myself. Here's a couple of rules that I'd like to enlighten upon you. Number one, you do not talk back to me. And two, you don't mess with me or the rules," his breath fans my face and I close my eyes. The proximity between us was terrifying. "I've dealt with many bitches like you, so I suggest that you follow those rules unless you want to end up like them," - he leans in. His mouth lingers near my ear, "used."... "... You might think that you run this place, but you do not run me. Understand? And the sooner you understand that, the better it'll be for the both of us," I warn staring right into his eyes before walking away. I was more than amused by his dumbfounded expression. I stop, and turn back around, facing him, "And one piece of advice, know what you're fishing for before you start fishing. What if you find a shark and it reels you in, instead?"⇒Highest rank: 1 in Chicklit on 01.08.16

Who Fixes Books Anyway?
On the pretense of a raise, the relatively new employee Pernie is called in to talk with her superiors. NOTE: This is a short story written for a class I took recently. As a result of deadlines, it does not possess the quality (or length) that I would like and is rather thrunkated. Perhaps sometime far in the furture I'll fix it up. For now, I have much more important things to work on, such as my other fiction.
