《The Gray Brothers✔️ (Wattpad version)》Run for cover!

I woke up feeling like a bus had hit me, then pain shot through my pelvic area. Fantastic. It's that time of the month when Mother Nature decides to rip your uterus into two - not to mention the bloating, the crankiness, and lots of chocolate.
I wasn't the only one who experienced that time of the month. So did Pat. Let's say two women on their periods simultaneously made for one exciting time in the Gray household.
Pat and I were watching something on TV while sitting on the couch and crying.
"But it's so sad," I cried.
"I know," she bawled.
Nate walked in and seemed confused. Why the hell were we crying? It must be a good movie. Then he looked to see us watching a Snuggle commercial, then looked at us. "Christ." He walked over to the bottom of the stairs. "Boys!"
They all came downstairs.
"Yeah, Dad?" Noah asked.
"Your mother and Maggie have both started," he said.
They looked at the weeping messes on the couch.
"What do we do?" Nathan asked in panic mode.
"We sneak out of the house, go to the store, and buy them as much chocolate as we can. Then we throw it at them and run," he said.
There was no negotiation on this. The brothers did what their father told them to do. While we were weeping messes on the couch, they were in the chocolate aisle.
They tossed whatever they could into the cart, making sure they got enough.
"Think maybe we should get them a card?" Noah asked them.
"Who gets a girl a card while they're on their period?" Nixon asked.
"I don't know. Sorry, your uterus hates you or something." Nathan shrugged.
Nash walked away.

"Now, where is he going?" Nate asked.
"Probably to look for a period card," Nolan said.
They all looked at each other.
Nash stood in the tampon section.
"If you buy her some, buy these," a female voice said.
He turned to see Kat holding out a box of tampons.
He took them from her. "Thanks. I don't buy these."
"No worries. Most guys don't. Where's Nix?"
"He's with my dad and brothers buying chocolate and lots of it."
"That bad?"
"Two women on their period at the same time at my house? What do you think?"
She laughed.
They walked over to the cart, and he tossed the box into the cart. Kat kissed Nixon then looked at the cart. "Well, I got to say, you boys got all your bases covered."
"Considering they're both a weeping mess on the couch, I would say so," Nate replied.
"Then you might want to take this to them." She tossed them a bottle of Midol. "That should help."
"And therefore, I love you," Nixon said.
"It helps when you're the one with the uterus in the relationship." She giggled.
"I'll skip going home," he told her.
They both left.
"Coward!" Nash said.
Nixon waved.
"Let's get this home before your mother and Maggie turn in raging hormonal messes," Nate said.
They left the store, returning with the candy. As we sat there, they tossed us Midol, tampons, and lots of chocolate. Then they all left the room. Pat and I shrugged and tore into the candy. At some point, when I wasn't a raging hormonal mess, I would need to ask Nash about this.
Later, I took a hot bath to help relieve the cramps. I climbed into the tub, closed the shower curtain, and laid there. I heard the door open and close.

"Mags?"
"Nash?"
"Oh, thank God," he spoke with relief. He took a seat on the floor next to the tub and leaned with his back against the wall.
I peeked out from behind the shower curtain and looked at him. "Dare I ask why you're in here?"
Then we heard stuff crashing and Nate yelling, "Run for cover, boys!"
"That's why I'm in here."
"What in the world?"
"Nolan made the mistake of taking a chocolate bar in front of Ma."
"Is he dumb? You never take chocolate from a woman when they're on their period."
"Young and dumb."
I couldn't help but laugh. "I've been thinking."
"About?" He cocked an eyebrow.
"About me being ready to have sex."
He became silent.
"You said you would wait until I'm ready, but I think I'm ready."
He turned and looked at me. "Are you sure? Because you only get one first time." He tried to gauge my reaction.
"I know, and I want my first time to be with you."
He leaned towards me. "Okay, but I want it to be romantic since every girl deserves her first time to be romantic."
"I guess the question is when."
"It should happen when it happens. Mags, I don't want you to do this if you're not ready. We can wait."
I looked at him, and he looked at me. "Oh, thank God because I'm not ready."
"I knew it! You did that to test me, didn't you?"
I shrugged.
"For that, you're gonna get it."
"What are you doing? Nash!"
He climbed into the tub, clothes and all, and tickled me. I squealed with laughter as he sat back, facing me. I brought my knees to my chest to cover myself.
"Babygirl, don't worry. When it happens, I'll take excellent care of you."
My cheeks heated. Damn, Nash was hot when he said that.
Then the bathroom door opened, and Nate stared at us in the tub.
"I don't even want to know," he said, closing the door behind him.
We couldn't help but laugh. Heaven knows what they will think when it does happen. Until then, we could wait. Sex wasn't everything to us, and there was so much more. When it does happen, it would be worth it.
