yoonha looked out at the surroundings that were being lighted up by the radiant sun. she glanced at her phone screen, continuously checking the time seeing if the stop kihyun would get on would be coming anytime soon.
"next stop is gangdong-gu" yoonha's ears perked up at the name of the station but it soon became a disappointed frown as the bus passed by the station without kihyun getting on it.
why didn't he come today? yoonha felt like her day had gotten worse even though it wasn't pretty terrible to begin with. she loved kihyun's company and just wished he was there sitting right next to her asking her about her day and laughing with her like he did for the past few weeks. yoonha quickly put her bag on the vacant seat beside her, not wanting anyone to sit there beside kihyun (unless they asked of course).
the once radiant blaring sun was replaced by a twinkling white moon that covered the dark blue sky with it's dim light. the lights from buildings reflected on the lake like a mirror, yoonha stared at it as another song from her playlist rolled into her ears. the song was slow and soft. the lyrics were about broken love and broken trust.
yoonha breathed and thought to herself that maybe she felt the same as to what the lyrics were saying. not that kihyun broke her trust or whatsoever but he surely let her hopes down. kihyun's a student after all. you can't expect him to have time for you everyday yoonha.

yoonha finally finished her homework after a few more strokes from her pencil. she had been drawing for what felt like hours. was this what she used to go through before meeting kihyun? whenever kihyun would come along, time would seem to pass by so quickly for her. from hours turning into minutes, minutes into seconds.

kihyun just made everything she did enjoyable, even if he wasn't talking. his mere presence was comforting and fun to be around, no matter how late it was at night or how stupid he could sometimes get.
the short haired girl closed her notebook and placed it back in her bag before getting off the chair, standing on her own two feet. she quietly pushed the chair back to its original position and headed out of the store.
yoonha held her books close to her as she turned to the corner which lead to the flat that she shared with hyunwoo. however, she quickly stopped her tracks as she heard a familiar voice behind her that cause her heart to tingle.
"oh my god i'm sorry" kihyun said softly as he was panting from running all the way from his house to the store.
"what are you sorry for? you didn't do anything?" yoonha said and looked at kihyun in confusion.
"you probably waited for me in the bus today.. but i didn't come" kihyun said and flashed her a soft smile as soon he stopped panting.
yoonha suddenly thought that today wasn't such a terrible day after all.
