walking inside the store, kihyun and yoonha both remained silent and headed towards where they both got their food. yoonha got a packed salad while kihyun just decided with a simple kimbap.
"so what do you plan on doing today?" kihyun hummed as he pulled out a chair for yoonha and himself.
"i'm going to write a summary of why i chose the photos for the project and a bit on background about them." kihyun said as he took out his laptop from his backpack.
"mmm i going to do about the same except its going to be a summary of something im drawing." yoonha said pulling out her sketchbook to show kihyun her drawing.
as she flipped through the pages of the small notebook, kihyun opened a blank document for him to start his essay. the honey brown haired boy's hands hovered over the keyboard as he thought of what to write in his paper. he felt a small tug on his sleeve and turned to look at the girl sitting beside him.
"do you think this seems..well okay?" yoonha said as she looked at kihyun, analyzing his facial expressions to see if there were any negative reactions. kihyun studied the drawing, a smile dawning his face.
it was a sketch of a drawing. it seemed like a room, and even kihyun knew he could never do something like that. "yoonha, its great! theres a lot of details" he focused on the way a desk positioned adjacent to a bed, a lamp and a couple of papers on it. it had a wardrobe and nice wallpaper.
yoonha brightened, though she turned uncharacteristically shy. "thanks.. but its nothing." she turned to the drawing in her hands. "a lot of people can do it—its basic interior"

"i dont care," kihyun replied, taking a closer look at it and simultaneously closing laptop. that can wait. "i like your design a lot.. its great. if i want a house in the future, ill hire you"
yoonha chuckled and kept the drawing, kihyun returning to his work. "thank you, harry," she teased. kihyun smiled. "ill make sure to take you as one of my most important customers—its vital!"
they both laughed at this. yoonha returned to her sketchbook, and kihyun decided to finish his food first.
kihyun couldn't help but notice how much he liked yoonha's company. he felt himself enjoying his day more and looking forward for the bus to come soon, just so that yoonha would sit with him again. kihyun found himself being able to just talk about whatever with yoonha.
he liked her ditzy nature. and even when they weren't talking, kihyun enjoyed yoonha's company; he enjoyed the fact that yoonha was just there beside him. he felt content to have found a friend in her. yoonha soon broke the silence.
"arent you supposed to work on something?"
"hm? oh yeah but im eating." kihyun replied distractedly, merely sparing her a glance before returning to his food.
from the corner of his eye, he saw her smile mischievously. "want me to feed you so that you can do your work and eat simultaneously?" she asked, stifling a laugh.
kihyun laughed quietly, "no thanks, yoonha."
the girl smiled and closed her sketchbook, leaning her head on kihyun's shoulder inconspicuously. and kihyun didn't mind it one bit.

it was quite late when the two finished their work and headed out of the store. both bid their goodbyes to each other while laughing and headed to separate directions. yoonha smiled to herself as she slowly walked on the stone cold pavement leading to her home.

the thoughts of kihyun made her overjoyed. she was glad to be able to talk to him after all the years she's seen him enter the same bus everyday, sitting in a seat far away from hers.
she used to just look at him occasionally and think about how stunning his features looked from the back of the bus, but that all changed until that day he sat beside her. yoonha smiled as the memory washed over her head and closed the door of her flat behind her.
tomorrow, she'd be seeing kihyun again.
tomorrow, she'd have another reason to smile.
