kihyun hummed to himself as he waited for the buss to arrive once again. he quickly stood up once he saw the vehicle come into his view and stood at the edge of the pavement, waiting for his turn to get on. the moment he step foot into the bus, he quickly swiped his card and made his way to the seat he usually sat at.
yoonha gave kihyun a small smile. "so how was your day?"
"actually okay, i've got a lot of my requirements submitted and checked by my professors.. hmm..my friend also treated us out for some coffee in this new cafe—which is really great by the way." yoonha chuckled at his sudden remark.
"well at least you've had a great day today," yoonha said and softly smiled at him. "I had like loads of stress over me since we had to look over some newer freshmans today."
"is it really that hard?" kihyun asked in a questioning tone whilst yoonha gave him an expression of disbelief.
"of course it is, do you know how hard it is to handle a bunch of people who are maybe a year or two younger than you and they just think they know everything about the department but then they actually really dont?" kihyun chuckled at her statement. "i guess it is"
"oh do you have anything important to do today by the way?" kihyun asked.
yoonha looked at kihyun and turned away while she processed her thoughts. "no not really, why?" she said as she turned back to the honey brown haired boy.
kihyun smiled and took out a couple of papers that seemed almost too familiar to the short haired girl sitting beside him. "could you accompany me to these places?"
"oh you're actually using it?" yoonha said in surprise as she tilted her head to the side. kihyun hummed.
"then..i'd be happy to help" yoonha said with a smile and gave kihyun a small thumbs up.

Life of a Core
After a disembodied voice had told him he was what amounted to an exceptionally talented rock, it had been hard to not let it go to his non-existent head. Until, random chance had decided to give him a square kick in the minerals. Which had in turn forced him to fend for himself in an unknown land, all while he attempted to make sense of his place in the world. Truthfully though, all he had really wanted to do from the start had been to bury himself a hundred feet below the ground and be left to his own devices. Yet, for one reason or another, nobody ever seemed willing to leave the dungeon-building core alone long enough to actually make one. Each chapter will average around two to three thousand words, the release schedule is still a WIP but you should expect the first six chapters to be released over the next six days. This is planned out as a dungeon building fiction, but don't expect it right off the bat! The story is a depiction of the everyday adventures (alongside an overarching plot) of what I imagine a dungeon core would experience when thrust into a random environment where everything and everyone tried to covet or eat him. I also really enjoy reading the comments and reviews people leave and would love to get some reader involvement with the story itself, likely through polls at the end of each chapter. I hope you enjoy my story! (If you feel like some of the characters seem familiar, you may have read some older work I wrote a while back under a different account. If you happen to be one of my old readers and recognize the similarities, I'm happy to have you back!)

The crew of the Discordant Note is on another routine job when they come across a member of a species nobody has ever seen before - a human. He has no memory of his past, his culture, or of the world he came from. What does he remember? He knows how to operate a multitool, fire a blaster, and how to kill a Sarcorian with his bare hands. Now, the crew and their newest member must steal a powerful ancient artifact, evade the clutches of the powerful Encephalon corporation, and discover the truth about the Progenitors.
8 168Polymyth Equation
In a world where super powers exist, a company attempts to market itself as creating training programs for heroes and other super powered occupations. Confidence and optimistic projections soon give way to frustration and worry that they are not up to the task. The problem is, how does one make a one size fits all program for people who fly, or shoot beams, or can turn into living metal? An ambitious project is carried out. To create a fully self maintaining facility, a modular training complex run by a self learning AI created solely to improve itself and the location. A flawless, exciting idea. Or at least a cost cutting shortcut that sounds good in a board meeting But what of the mind now forced to take this task? What will it think, what will it want? And what might it BUILD? -- A Dungeon fic from another angle. Image by JD Hancock [participant in the NaNoWriMo Royal Road challenge]
