Finally!

"Light! Finally I get some light!" I shouted as we exited the Haunted House. James and Kelly were already there. Griffin and Levy were behind us followed by Fred and Lisa. They looked happy. I'm happy for them.

"Kelly, James we want to tell you that we're dating." Lisa said raising her hand which held Fred's hand.

"I knew there was something going on! I just knew it!" Kelly said. "Congrats both of you'll." James said.

The lady came in once again. "The pair who came out last will be disqualified. And that is Fred and Melissa." She said. We waved goodbye to them as they left.

"To our next challenge a shall we?" She asked and we followed her.

"Your next challenge is 'Kiss.'" She said. What?! Kiss?! What the hell does that mean? We entered another room to find 3 people sitting with a table in front of them.

"They'll be your judges. You have to kiss your partner and based on the presentation or duration they'll choose two pairs. So all the best." She said and left.

"This is gonna be easy." Kelly said and James nodded. I could see Levy blushing hard and Griffin was blushing too! I'm sure I'm red in the face too. I turned to look up at Jason. He had a blank expression.

"You'll can start now." The male judge in the middle said and Kelly and James wasted no time and started making out.

"I can't do this! It's too much. We just started dating!" Levy said.

"If you can't do it, go and stand in the side." One lady judged said. How rude. But they obeyed.

"We have to do it you know." Jason said in my ear. I gulped and turned to him. I can't do this. It's my first kiss. Shouldn't you at least have your first kiss with someone you truly love? I got an idea! I held onto Jason's shirt and stood on my tippy toes. I gave him a quick peck on the cheek. I then looked down. My face was burning up. I looked up. And to my surprise Jason had a faint blush across his cheek! You could see it only if you were standing as close to him as I was. This made me blush even more.

Jason slowly lifted my chin and stared into my eyes. He leaned down and kissed me on my forehead, then both my cheeks. He then touched my nose with his nose. So close....😖

"How cute!" I heard one of the judges say. Wait. Are they talking about us?

"So true. All the couples who come here mostly make out like it's the end of the world. Only rarely do we see such a shy couple doing such cute things." At that James and Kelly stopped.

"Times up!" We heard the speaker. "And the winners are James and Kelly and Jason and Lucy. Congratulations. Please move to the next door for your last challenge." The judges said.

We all moved to the next room. I bet I'm still blushing. How can I not?! It's just too embarrassing! Why are we even doing this?! Oh yeah. To get our friends together. We did succeed.

When we went inside the next room we saw both the lady and the guy along with the rest of our friends. Is this last challenge so important that they called in all our friends?

"The last and final challenge, 'Confession.'" Both of them said.

"In this challenge, the guy has to propose his girlfriend. You can do it however you like. Just tell me when you'll are ready." The guy said. Why haven't we asked for their names yet? And propose? Are you serious? Jason doesn't know anything about romance! Yeah he's good with the physical things but I don't think he's good with words. And words in romance mean a lot. I just hope he doesn't say 'I love you' and finishes it. I'm not someone who likes to lose. But there are high chances we might.

I mean, James is the definition of gentleman. He's so kind and gentle to all girls. While Jason....he isn't even gentle with me. His girlfriend! Okay, pretend girlfriend but still!

"Kelly! I think we're gonna lose this!" I heard James say.

"What are you saying James?!" Kelly asked. "You know I'm not so good with confessions. I didn't even use any special words when I asked you out! Like hell I can do that here!" He said.

"Just think up something." Kelly said frustrated. I think we do have a chance.

"Jas? You think you can do this?" I asked.

"There's nothing I can't do. Just wait and watch." He said.

"If you're only gonna say the words 'I love you' then forget it, we already lost." I said.

"Shut up." He said. "Hmph." I frowned.

"I hope you'll are ready now. So begin!" The lady said and James and Kelly went first.

"Kelly, you're the most beautiful flower I've ever seen. Your beauty is so captivating. I really love you." James said sitting on one knee. Aww. Even though it was only a few sentences it was so cute.

Kelly hugged James and we all applauded. Our turn. Jason what are you planning?

Jason took both my hands in his and held on tight.

"Short stacks, I...you're the most beautiful person I've ever seen. You are the piece of puzzle which completes my heart. You are the ray of light in my darkness. You bloom so brightly that sometimes I'm scared that my darkness will rot you. I love your smile, I love your laugh. I...I never wanna see your tears. When I see you crying it's like someone has stabbed me in my heart. Without you my world is empty. You complete me. So..." He went down on his knee.

"Will you be mine forever?" I covered my mouth with one hand in shock. This was..this was so amazing.

But why does it feel like I've heard this somewhere? I squeezed the hand that was holding mine and said one word, "Yes." I didn't think at all before I said it. I hugged him tight not letting go. The others clapped and some hooted.

"So where did you read this?" I asked him softly so that no one heard.

"What do you mean?" He asked.

"Don't play dumb." I said. "Is it that obvious?" He asked. "For me, yes. Because I know you can never say all that and I think I remember reading it somewhere." I said.

"I read it from a romance novel of yours when I came into your room in the night." He confessed. I giggled a bit.

"I guess the winner is obvious everyone." The guy said.

"Hate to admit it but we lost." Kelly said. I smiled at her apologetically.

"So what's their prize?" Lisa asked.

"Two passes for lunch or dinner in Hampshire Tabletop." The lady said.

"WHAT?!" Everybody yelled.

"It's so difficult to get reservation at that place!" Levy said.

"Lucy is lucky." Elly said. "It's just a restaurant isn't it?" I asked.

"It's not just a restaurant. The food there is incredible! It's the best restaurant in Central Square. Especially for couples. The place is dimly lit and every table has a candle. Every table has draperies to give the couple privacy. Then there is a dance floor but mostly romantic slow songs are played. And they're food is to die for." Lisa said. Wow! What a romantic place!

"I really wanna see this place!" I said.

"There's no expiry date to these passes my dear. You can go whenever you like." The guy said.

"Great!" I said and we all proceeded towards the exit.

"Now that was fun. Wasn't it?" James asked. We all nodded. Oh I remember. We have to tell everyone the truth. I looked at Jason and he nodded.

"Guys, there's something I'd like to tell you'll." I said and everybody's attention was on me.

"Actually Jason and I are not dating." I said. "What?!" The girls yelled loudly.

"You'll were pretend dating?!" Kelly asked. I nodded.

"Is this true Jason?" James asked.

"Yeah." He said. "Then why did you'll say that you'll were dating?" Ben asked.

"Actually we wanted to get Griffin and Levy, Fred and Lisa together. We could clearly see that they like each other but didn't have the guts to say it. We also had our doubts on Fred and Lisa. We found out earlier that they were dating." I said.

"You found out earlier? Meaning before the Haunted House?" Fred asked.

"Yeah. When we decided to separate Jason and I spied on you'll both. And I'm really sorry for lying to you'll." I said.

"But didn't you'll do the exchange of love?" Lisa asked.

"Jason actually needed my Nullification Alice stone to protect himself and I wanted his on exchange. We didn't have any clue about this 'exchange of love' thingy." I said.

"But you'll look so good together!" Levy said. I laughed nervously.

"But you'll acted pretty well. With all the holding hands and kissi- Wait. Have you'll kissed?" Kelly asked. I shook my head.

"But you'll should have see them in the 4th challenge. They didn't kiss each other on the lips but on the cheeks. It was so cute." Levy said.

"So Charlie lied to us?" James asked.

"Charlie knew about our plan and helped us a lot. He was the one who actually helped me get over my embarrassment and only then was I able to hold hands with Jason." I confessed.

"So you'll forgive us?" I asked. "We can never be angry with you. After all you helped these 4 confess their feelings for each other. So we're cool." Elly said. The others nodded. I smiled at them and then at Jason. He just looked away.

"So how about we go eat something? I'm damn hungry." I said and they all agreed.

We went to a cafe called 'Café Petite'.

"This place is run by a friend of mine. So we might get a discount." Lisa said and went in followed by us.

"Lisa! Hey there!" A girl in her 20s came running to us. She had short violet hair and aquamarine eyes. "Guys this is Marie. These are my friends." Lisa said.

"Nice to meet you!" She said. I could see little fear in her eyes. Because of Crimson Dragons? Well people are scared of them. Most of them.

"We'd like a table for 10. Do we need to wait?" Lisa asked. "No no. We don't have many customers today. So the place is quite free. There is a 10 seater back there. Come on." She said and took us to a table behind in the corner. But the place wasn't dark and all, it was quite bright.

"So can I take your order?" She asked. "I'll take a pineapple pastry." Lisa said. "Me too." Fred said. "A banana shake for me." Ben said. "I'll just take water." Elly said.

"I'll take a strawberry cake." Kelly said. "I'll just have coffee." James said. "Do you have iron?" Griffin asked. Iron? Oh he's an Iron Dragon Slayer so he can eat iron. How can these people eat their elements? Weird.

"We don't have plain iron but we have an iron cake. Boss did his best to make one. And he finally succeeded." Marie said.

"I'll take that." Griffin said. "I think I'll go with some cookies." Levy said.

"Well..what all do you have in chocolate?" I asked. "We have many things. Chocolate moouse, chocolate pastry, chocolate shake and much more." She said.

"Oh Lucy, if you want something with chocolate I think you should order the Nutella shake. It's the best here." Levy said.

"I'll go with that then and I'll also have some chocolate chip cookies." I said.

"And y - you s - sir?" She stuttered. So she's scared of Jason. "Hn." He said.

She stood there confused and scared. "He means nothing." I said and smiled at her. She smiled back and went to get our orders.

"How did you know what it means?" Ben asked. "After spending so much time with him I understood many things about him. Well not many but still quite a lot." I said and we started chit chatting.

After a while our orders came. "Here are your orders!" She said and placed it on the table. We all digged in.

"This isn't a proper meal so I'll cook one after we go home." Lisa said. Jason just sat beside me with his earphones on. I really feel like throwing them. "Jas do you want some?" I asked him. He opened one eye and opened his mouth. He wants me to feed him?! He has lost it.

"I'm not doing that." I said. "Fine." He said and closed his mouth. "Ugh fine. At least don't go hungry." I said and picked up one cookie and brought it close to his mouth. He bit into it. "Too sweet." He said.

"Well what else do you expect? They're chocolate chip cookies. They're supposed to be sweet." I said.

"I don't like sweet stuff." He said. "You don't?" I asked. He nodded. I saw the others smirking at us.

"I thought you'll weren't a couple." Kelly said. "We aren't!" I said. "But aren't you'll getting too chummy with each other. It also seems like you'll are actually dating." James said smirking.

"T - That...I...I...uh..." I stuttered. "See?" Ben joined in.

"Stop teasing her. That's my job." Jason said from beside me. I raised an eyebrow. "Really? That's what you have to say? Wow." I said.

"Look who's coming to the rescue." Griffin teased. I blushed and just nibbled on my cookies. I took a sip of my Nutella shake.

"Wow! This is so good!" I said. "It is isn't it?" Kelly said. I nodded.

After filling our stomachs we decided to go to the bookstore! Yay! Okay they didn't decide. Levy and I had to beg them. The boys didn't want to step into the bookstore. They said it was a place they should never step in or something really evil and bad would happen. Yeah right. They just couldn't stand the sight of so many books.

"It's huge!" I said as we stood right outside the bookstore.

"Inside it's even bigger. Let's go!" Levy said and we both ran in. The others followed us meekly. My eyes sparkled at the sight of so many books.

"Where's the romance section?" I asked Levy. "Straight and right." She said and I wasted no time and went there.

Jason's POV

Why do we have to come to this shit ass place? Can't we just go back home?

"You think there's a comic book section?" I heard Ben ask Griffin.

"Don't ask me. I've come here for the first time." He said.

"We can just ask the receptionist." I said. Short stacks had gone of to her romance novel section and Bookworm went to the mystery side I guess, while the other girls are just roaming around aimlessly. Ben and Griffin went to ask the receptionist while Fred and James went off somewhere else. I think I'll just walk around.

I came to a halt when I saw short stacks trying to reach a book kept at a higher shelf. She's not gonna be able to reach it. I sighed. I went over to her. She still hadn't seen me.

"Your height is a real disadvantage to you." I said and grabbed the book she was trying to take.

"I didn't ask for your help." She said puffing out her cheeks. "Your welcome." I said sarcastically.

She snatched the book out of my hand and put it on a pile of other books. She's gonna read all of them?! There were easily 5 fat novels. Or more. She picked all of them but it covered her view of the front. She wobbled a bit and then walked straight into a shelf.

"Jas! Get out of my way!" She yelled. "I'm not there." I said. "Eh?" She said. I sighed. Why me? I went over and took more than half of her books and held it only in one hand. "Come on." I said.

"Why are you being so nice all of a sudden?" She asked. I didn't have an answer for that. Because of this girl I'm becoming soft. The cold hearted beast is becoming a furry little dog.

She really interests me. I know there's something she's hiding from all of us. And I'm gonna find out.

"Enjoy it while you can. It's only for today. We won't be interacting with each other from tomorrow." I said. No interaction? Why am I saying this? To keep my cool character?

"What?! Why?!" She asked not believing it.

"We have no reason to interact. Our contract is over." I said. Shut this mouth of mine! Well I think it's right anyway. She must be not even considering me as her friend. After all I just used her to get my friends get their girls.

"So what?! Aren't we friends?" She asked. She thinks we're friends?

"You think we're friends?" I asked. "Aren't we? I think we are." She said and smiled. Why does she have to smile like that at me? I don't deserve that smile.

"Whatever." I said. We walked to the reception and she bought all the books. I carried one bag for her. The heavier one. We met the others at the front of the shop.

"I think we should get home now. It's 2:20 pm. I'll cook us something too." Matchmaker said.

"I want to help you this time Lisa!" Short stacks said. "You can cook Lucy?" Bookworm asked.

"Yup I can." She replied proudly. "Great. So we are gonna get burnt lunch." I said.

"Hey!" She said angrily.

"I think we should head back." Armour girl said. The others nodded and we all headed back home.
