Merid put his hand up where he made the tear.
"Mend the bond...mend the bond. Stitch it up. This'll change you back. We just need needle and thread." Merid said.
Elinor started looking in her drawers for a needle and thread, but got distracted by a bowl of fruit.
"Mum?" Merid turned and saw Elinor sniffing around the room as a real bear. "Mum? Not now."
"Merid?" He turned and saw (Y/n) looking around the room in confusion again.
"(Y/n)? You alright?"
"Where are we? It looks like a castle...So you live here?" She asked.
"Yes, you live here too, love." He reminded her.
"I do? Wow...Um, do you know there's a bear in here?" She said, pointing at Elinor.
"Yes, that's my mum."
"You're what?"
"Listen, love, I know you're confused right now, but I really need you to focus and find me a needle and thread, okay?"
"Uh...okay..."
"Thank you." He pressed a kiss to her forehead, and went over to try and quite his mum down.
"Mum, please not now." Merid said.
Suddenly, they heard King Fergus heading down the hall.
"Who is that?" (Y/n) asked.
"Shh." He shushed her and covered his mums muzzle, and kept it there until he passed the room.
Once he was gone, Merid went over to the wall and tried to yank the tapestry down.
...
Meanwhile, Fergus made his way to his bedroom.
"Elinor, dear, you'll never guess who just solved our little suitor problem."
He opened the door to find the room a mess. He looked down and found Elinor's shredded dress on the ground. He leaned down and picked it up.
"Elinor!" He screamed.
He ran out into the hall. "It can't be true! Elinor, answer me lass! Elinor!" Fergus opened all the doors in the hall looking for his wife, before he opened the one where Merid was.

He saw Merid yanking on the tapestry and (Y/n) looking in the drawers.
"Merid, (Y/n)." He heard a growl and saw a bear glaring at him.
"Dad, no! It's not what you think."
"Merid, get back!" Fergus pushed him out of the way.
"No!"
Fergus drew his sword and started slashing at the bear.
"No, dad! Don't hurt her!" Merid tried to pull his dad away, but ended up getting scratched by Elinor.
Fergus attacked again, and Elinor batted him off to the side.
"No!" Merid shouted.
Elinor suddenly turned back to normal and looked around at what she had done.
"Mum."
"Merid? What happened." (Y/n) was back too, and was very confused.
"(Y/n), your back!"
Elinor noticed Merid's scratched arm and whined.
"It's alright. I'm alright. It's nothing. It's just a little scratch. Mum!"
Elinor wouldn't listen, and ran out the door, running into the three lords.
"Bear!" Macintosh shouted.
...
Fergus slowly stood up.
"Dad!"
"Oh, count your stars lad, lassie, it almost had you. Are you hurt?"
"No, we're fine." (Y/n) answered.
"It's you're wife, Elinor." Merid insisted.
...
Elinor was chased out of the castle by the clans and ducked under the gate as it was closing, running off into the forest.
...
"You're talking nonsense!"
"It's the truth! There was a witch and she gave me a spell. It's not Mor'du."
"Mor'du of not, I'll avenge your mother!" Fergus insisted. "And I'll not risk losing you two either." Fergus shut the door and locked them inside.
"No, dad just listen to me. Listen! You can't! It's your wife, Elinor!"
...
Fergus made his way down the stairs and saw Maudie.
"Maudie, keep this and don't let them out."
"What about the bear?" She asked.

"Just stay put."
...
Merid grabbed a bench and hurled it at the door, but it didn't open. Next he grabbed a fire-poker and tried to pry the door open, but that didn't work either.
...
"Come on you sorry bunch of galoots! Yah!" King Fergus lead the men on horse back to chase after Elinor.
...
Merid broke a window, but it was too small for him to fit through. He saw the men exit the castle to go after Elinor.
"Mum! No! No. Mum." He cried.
He slid down the wall and started crying. (Y/n) looked over at him, and the looked over at the tapestry. A determined look spread across her face, and she grabbed the tapestry and started pulling. She managed to yank the tapestry off the wall, and Merid looked up at the noise it made.
"Come on. We gotta get the key to get out of here and save your mum."
Merid's eyes widened in surprise and adoration for the girl in front of him, before he started focusing on the task at hand.
"Maudie. Maudie! I need you! Now! Merid cried out.
He looked down and saw three little black bears coming towards him.
"Oh, no." He sighed.
"What?" (Y/n) came over and looked out the window and saw the three boys and gasped.
"Maudie." Merid said, as she came bounding up the stairs.
Maudie saw the three little bears and gasped.
Merid and (Y/n) shared a look. "Get the key." They said in unison.
The three bears looked at Maudie, who shoved the key in her cleavage and ran away.
...
"Needle and thread, needle and thread, needle and thread." Merid repeated.
"Found it!" (Y/n) held up a needle.
"Ah, ya beauty!" Merid exclaimed.
...
Maudie ran into the kitchen and barricaded the door, and ran down the kitchen steps. She tried to make her way to the other side of the room but paused and gasped when she saw two black bears staring at her.
Maudie grabbed a pan, but paused as there were only two and not three. "One, two...huh?"
She looked up and saw the third bear above her as it dove down into her chest.
...
The triplets tossed the key through the window on the door and Merid, (Y/n) and the boys made their way down to the stables and hopped on Angus and rode after Elinor.
"Woah, steady Hamish." Merid said. The boys were steering while (Y/n) and Merid were sewing up the tapestry.
...
Elinor ran through the forest dodging the arrows that came flying at her. She eventually came back to the circle of stone arches. Elinor tried to run past it, but got blocked by the dogs. She tried to tun back the other way, but quickly became surrounded.
They backed Elinor into a pillar and threw ropes over her and tied her down onto the ground.
...
Merid finished sewing the tapestry back up and yelled in triumph. Angus came to a halt when he saw a wisps in their path. A trial suddenly appeared and led them off into another direction. Merid led Angus down the trail not noticing the big black bear growling after them.

Long gone are the days when every hero could do whatever they wanted - now, we are civilised. We have government. Law. And proper forms. Lots of proper forms. (Final episode 25/07/2022. Also - beta readers far into the book rate the 'gore' degree as below 2/10, so the warning is a bit much) Mary Susan Oceanrunner is a poor girl from the orphanage, who like many others before, has to fulfil her destiny. The prophecy had been told, and she is the only one who can make things right. Erm... probably. Anyway, she can't just go and kill monsters like in the middle ages. First, she must apply for the appropriate permissions, fill the forms, learn about the proper loot taxations... Hey, no one said adventuring would be easy, right? Disclaimers: No claim made by any character by the book should be treated as the author's or anyone else's opinion on any subject. Most likely, it was just the funniest thing the Author could think of at the time of writing. This book contains many references to other works. It will probably be best enjoyed by individuals familiar with at least some of the following: 1) Computer games2) Fantasy in general3) Science fiction4) Tabletop RPGs5) Conspiracy theories6) Corporation work life7) Long forgotten prophecies uttered millennia ago in almost as forgotten languages under a starless night three dusks before the great convergence8) Filling any government-mandated form9) School10) EnglishMy ultimate goal is to make as many people experience something akin to joy while reading (think ~a bit louder exhale through the nose). It doesn't mean every scene will be funny or joyful because that's not how this stuff works. I can neither confirm nor deny having any other hidden agenda outside of that.
