Fergus hopped off his horse and approached Elinor and drew his sword. He raised it high above his head and prepared to strike. Elinor whimpered as Fergus brought his sword down, but before he could hit her, an arrow flew through the air and knocked it out of his hands.
Merid hopped off Angus and drew another arrow.
"Get back. That's my mother." Merid commanded.
"Are you out of your mind lad?" Fergus asked in shock.
"Mum, are you hurt?" He said to Elinor.
Fergus pushed Merid back and Lord Macintosh held him back. Fergus swung his sword again, but was blocked by (Y/n) with her own sword.
"(Y/n)! What are you doing lass?"
"Protecting my Queen."
Merid flipped Lord Macintosh over his shoulder and grabbed Lord Dingwall's sword and pointed it at his father too.
Merid swung at his father and disarmed him, and swung at his peg leg, knocking a chunk off, sending him to the ground.
"I'll not let you kill my mother." Merid said firmly.
Just then, the boys jumped on top of their dad.
"Boys!" (Y/n) called.
"Boys?!" Fergus crowd in shock
Suddenly, a loud thud was heard behind them. They all turned and saw the demon bear Mor'du was standing their. He rises up on two legs and roared.
"Mor'du." Merid whispered.
"Kill it!" Fergus commanded.
The men charged at the bear, but Mor'du swatted them all away.
Mor'du roared again, but was punched by Fergus.
"Come on! I'll take you with my bare hands!"
Mor'du swatted Fergus to the ground and grabbed him by his peg leg and flung him aside.
Merid fired two arrows at Mor'du, drawing his attention to him. The bear stalked towards Merid and whacked his bow out of his hands. (Y/n) swung her sword at him and scraped his side, turning his attention on her now. Mor'du smacked her to the ground and stood over her with his paws on either side of her and roared in her face, causing her to scream.

"(Y/n)! No!" Merid screamed.
Elinor roared in anger and freed herself from the ropes holding her down and tackled Mor'du off of (Y/n).
They bit and clawed and roared at each other, while Merid ran to (Y/n)'s side and held her to him. Mor'du tried to get around Elinor two attack them but Elinor stood in front of them and roared at Mor'du. They wrestled each other some more and Mor'du clawed at Elinor's face.
"Mum!" Merid cried.
Mor'du swung Elinor against one of the stone pillars and she noticed it started to crack, and it gave her an idea. She turned back to see Mor'du stalking towards (Y/n) and Merid again. Merid threw himself over (Y/n) shielding her from the bear. But before he could reach them, Elinor pulled him back and slammed him into the stone pillar multiple times, making it crack even more. Mor'du it her across the face, knocking her back and started to stalk towards them again. Just as he was about to charge, the stone pillar came crashing down and crushed him, killing him instantly.
Blue mist rose from the rock and the spirit of the oldest son appeared. He nodded at them, grateful for being set free, before turning into a wisp and disappearing.
Merid looked at his mum before looking at the sky and gasping.
"The second sunrise."
Merid ran over and grabbed the tapestry off of Angus and threw it over Elinor and (Y/n). He waited, but nothing happened.
Elinor looked at her son, before her eyes turned completely black.
"No...I don't understand. I..."
"Hello?" (Y/n)'s voice sounded in his ears and he looked over at her. "Um... could you possibly tell me where I am?"
"Oh...(Y/n)..." Merid sobbed.
"I'm sorry...do I know you? What's your name?"

Merid started crying and fell to his knees in front of them.
"Oh, mum, (Y/n)...I'm sorry. This is all my fault. I did this to you. To us."
Elinor sniffed his face, and Merid pulled her and (Y/n) into a hug.
"You two have always been there for me. You've never given up on me. I just want you both back. I want you back mummy. I love you." Merid sobbed into both of them.
He looked over at (Y/n) who was looking at him with confusion.
"I love you too, (Y/n)." He whispered.
The sun rose and the light covered the tapestry and everyone around them.
Merid was still crying onto Elinor and (Y/n)'s shoulder, when he felt a hand run through his red hair. He gasped and looked up to see his mum's face smiling down at him.
"Mum! You're back." Merid cried.
Elinor laughed and covered her sons face in kisses.
"You changed."
"Oh, darling, we both have." She said.
They heard groaning next to them and looked over to see (Y/n) rubbing her head.
"Ow, my head."
"(Y/n)? Is that you?"
"Merid? What happened?" She looked to her side and saw Elinor has turned back into a human. "My Queen! You're back!" Elinor hugged the girl and placed a kiss on her forehead.
"Merid, it worked! Isn't this great-!" (Y/n) suddenly let out a yelp as Merid yanked her to him, and dipped her down and placed a deep kiss on her lips. (Y/n) didn't move for a moment, still in shock, but soon she wrapped her arms around him and kissed him back.
Merid brought her back up and released her lips, but he still held her in his arms.
"I love you (Y/n)." Merid confessed.
"I love you too Merid." She responded.
"Don't ever leave me again!" He playfully scolded.
"I'm not going anywhere." She promised.
Merid pulled her into another kiss.
"Elinor!"
The two jumped apart, startled by King Fergus running over to his wife. He tripped and fell to the ground but quickly sat up wrapping Elinor, Merid, and (Y/n) into a hug. Fergus dipped Elinor down and kissed her, causing Merid to slightly groan.
"Oh, dear!" Elinor laughed, after she sat up again.
"Oh! Um...my lady." (Y/n) gestured to the fact that Elinor had no clothes on.
"Ooh! Um...dear. Im naked. Naked as a wee babby." Elinor whispered to Fergus, who just stared at her. "Don't just stare at me. Do something!" Elinor scolded, gesturing to the three lords who were watching them.
"What the...avert your eyes lads! Show some respect." Fergus yelled at the lords, shielding Elinor the best he could.
The lords turned around just as the three naked princes came running past them, towards their parents.
"Now that's what I call a wee naked babby." Fergus said.
