《Pink and Yellow - Trimberly》Chapter 25

It wasn't long before we escaped the dreaded hospital and took a short walk to the donut shop. Proudly walking hand in hand with the girl who I loved and loved me back. It sent chills down my spine thinking about it.
She loves me.
I softly squeezed her hand. She turned her head towards me and smiled. She squeezed mine back. Now I was the one smiling as we made our way into our favorite shop.
Standing in line, I kept thinking about how much we've grown. How mature we've gotten. It seemed just yesterday Trini was the one not speaking to me, but now she opened up and I'm so proud of her. This shows how trust is so important in any relationship platonic or not. We have each other's backs.
After ordering our normal, which is an original glazed donut with coffee, we went to sit at the same table as always. Before I could take a seat across from the Yellow Ranger, I catch chocolate brown eyes looking at me. She was petite and stood in line to order with her friend. I smiled and waved. She did the same before her friend turned around. The girl with her had raven black hair with the most insane emerald green eyes. The raven haired girl also smiled and waved before wrapping her arm around the other girl and kissing her. I grinned as I watched the interaction then sat down.
"What are you smiling about?" Trini asked.
"Oh, nothing. I just saw a cute couple, that's all." I replied then sipped some of my coffee.
"Not as cute as us though I hope?" The Latina raised an eyebrow and smirked.
"Are you saying we are a couple?" I teased, mirroring her smirk.
"Maybe."
"Maybe?"
"Well, I mean we could." She took a bite of her donut.
I clasped my hands together and resting my chin on top of them. "And what's preventing us from being one?"
She shrugged. "Dunno."
"Okay then. Would you, Trini Gomez, be my girlfriend?" I confidently asked.
"Woah woah woah." She held her hand up and pointed to herself. "I, am supposed to ask you, Kimberly Hart."
"Sorry. Beat you to it. Yes or no, babe." I broke out into a grin.

The Yellow Ranger sighed dramatically. "Fine. I'll be your girlfriend."
My lips formed into a wide grin and I leaned over the table to connect our lips, smiling into the kiss. When we separated, I watched as the other young couple took a seat near our table. The brunette shot me a playful wink and smirked before turning back to her girlfriend.
We sat in silence, content with our treat and just being with each other. A few minutes later, the Yellow Ranger spoke up.
"Hey, we should hang out with the boys today." She suggested.
"I'm always up for that." I smiled thinking about our goofy friends. "We should have another movie night at Billy's."
"Oh, yeah." Trini perked up. "I remember our first night out with all of us."
I threw my head back and laughed. "Jason had to stick his face in the toilet. That was my favorite."
"Yeah, that was pretty good." She chuckled. "But slapping Taylor was by far the greatest thing I've ever done."
"I wonder what he'll say now that we are actually together."
"Probably something inappropriate." The Latina shrugged while playing with her empty coffee cup. "But that just gives me a reason to slap him harder."
I bit my lip to hide a grin. "He has played a big role with getting us together. I remember he wouldn't shut up about us."
"True." She replied. "But I think Miss Norris played an even bigger role. That old lady has skills. She and Zack could fight over captain." She smirked.
"Why would you make me picture that?"
"I think it would be funny."
"Didn't she start dating the other day?" I asked, resting my head on my palm.
Trini's eyes went wide and almost choked on air. "Wait, what?" She breathed out.
I chuckled. "Yeah she went out on a date with some guy."
"Holy shit. And I thought she failed her love life." She giggled.
"There's hope for everyone, I guess."
"Damn right, Hart."

"Straight flush in diamonds. Beat that Taylor!" The Yellow Ranger yelled as she slapped her cards on the coffee table.
Billy chuckled softly. "Yeah 'cause that's the only thing straight about her." He mumbled and sipped on his drink.

All heads turned towards the Blue Ranger and watched him as he innocently slurped up the last bit of soda.
"I can't believe that sentence just came out of your mouth." Jason whispered, surprised.
"I know right?!" Zack jumped up and lightly punched Billy on the arm. "I think I'm teaching him quite well." He said proudly.
"Yeah yeah, whatever. Anyway, whatcha got Taylor?" I wondered.
"Oh, right." He returned to his previous position at the opposite end of the table Trini and him were playing on. "Royal flush." He spoke calmly.
"WHAT?" Trini yelled causing me to flinch. "Sorry, Kim."
I laughed. "It's fine."
"But what the actual fuck. How?"
"You can beat me at sparring but let's face it. I will destroy everyone at poker." He smirked. "Even you."
"Well that was interesting to watch." Jason commented as he got up to move the coffee table.
"Let's order some pizza." Billy suggested randomly.
"Good idea. We can watch some horror movies, too!" Zack chimed in.
"Ugh. No horror movies." I whined.
"What? Horror movies are fun." Trini said resting her head on my shoulder.
"No, no way. Especially not while I'm eating. Definitely not."
"Aw, but it will be something different. C'mon Kim you never have gotten the urge to watch something scary?"
"Hell no! If I'll watch one they are for sure gonna give me nightmares."
"But that's what makes a good horror movie." the Black Ranger pointed out. "If you aren't terrified by the end of the movie," he shook his head, "then it ain't good."
"Jason, how are you okay with this?"
The Red Ranger sat on the couch with a smirk plastered on his face. "I wanna see you get scared."
I groaned and stood up, Trini stood up as well. "Fine. I'll watch ONE. That's it."
"Yes!" The Latina fist pumped the air then gave me a quick peck on the lips before running into the kitchen to get a drink.
I smiled to myself and turned to see the three boys looking at me with a 'you better tell us the fuck just happened' look. I rolled my eyes playfully and answered their obvious question.
"We're together."
Their response went along the lines of 'holy shit', 'it's about fucking time', and 'congratulations'.
Trini returned with a soda in her hand. "What'd I miss?"
I shook my head. "Nothing, babe." Then kissed her cheek.
"BABE." The Black Ranger hollered earning a death glare from the both of us.
We ordered the excessive amount of pizza and then got comfortable on Billy's couch in preparation to watch this stupid horror movie. Trini and Zack argued over whether to watch The Babadook or It.
"But The Babadook isn't scary at all!"
"Yes it is!" Trini exclaimed. "Just 'cause it doesn't have much gore in it doesn't mean it's not scary."
"It's not even a good movie all around let alone scary." Zack rolled his eyes.
"It is way too freaky for Kim, thought. Plus it has a bunch of blood and gore."
Zack raised an eyebrow at the Yellow Ranger. "Fine. We're watching The Babadook. Only because you're whipped as fuck."
I laughed softly at the interaction and sat down with my plate of cheese pizza. Trini sat next to me while Jason was on the other end of the sofa. Zack and Billy decided to sit on the floor, a bit closer to the television.
Throughout the movie, I was a nervous wreck. Thought there weren't many jump scares, the movie did a good job of creeping me out. A lot of 'what the fuck's and 'he'll no's escaped my mouth. Trini sat beside me the whole time holding my hand. I thought the gesture was sweet. It made me love her even more if that were possible.
When it ended, we stayed and had a two hour conversation about the movie, our new relationship, who could jump over the Grand Canyon first without dying (Zack's idea), and other random topics. It was late and time for the Yellow Ranger and I to leave so we said our goodbyes and headed to my house.
My head was on her chest as she ran her fingers through my hair. I let out a content sigh and closed my eyes.
'This is everything I could ever want' is what I thought before drifting off to sleep, happy at the idea of waking up to Trini every morning for the rest of my life.

But when they encounter the mysterious Shiakar Paradigm Society, a clash of paradigms ensues. Between the trio's optimistic yet naive ideals, and the SPS's tried-and-true surgical methods, determining the answer which methods can better humanity is a struggle that both parties must resolve in their own ways... Welcome to the 7th revision of my 10+ years ongoing novel trilogy. This revision took out some flawed plot concepts to re-introduce a more down-to-earth, film noir-like ambience, where a battle of wits is what will determine the outcome. It also added instead more in-depth expansion into the lives and mindsets of the characters, especially the heroes (a missing factor in older versions). Third-view limited storytelling was also introduced more prominently over my favoured third-view omnipotent, with each chapters concentrating as much as possible on a single character's point of view instead of head-hopping. So I shall begin uploading the chapters as I finish them; they're edited as much as I can, but there'll most likely be some typos and mistakes. As always, I welcome your comments and critiques, and I hope you enjoy reading that story as much as I did creating it! A parting poem to introduce the story (translated from its original French version): Credit: Les Mots, Mylene Farmer & Seal Firmly, the sky writhes When a mouth begets a death There, I will give my life to hear you To tell you the most tender words When all becomes all alone I'll break my life for a song And to lives that stoop to notice mine I know I will say goodbye But a fraction of this life I would give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives You could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple If one swept the world away One could touch the universe I will tell you how the sun rose high We could with a word become one And for all those words that hurts us There are those that touches us Which illuminates, touches the infinity Even if nothingness exists For a fraction on this life We will give anything, anytime The universe has its mysteries Words are our lives We could kill a life with words Soul, how would it feel? If our lives are so fragile Words are mysteries Words of feelings Words of love, a temple
