Carlisle led him gently through the house, allowing Ellis to take in his surroundings. His hand did not leave Ellis' shoulder as they continued through the rooms. It was just in case Ellis decided to attack, a restraint. Jasper, Emmet, Edward and the two wolves followed behind them, just in case. Already Ellis could smell human in the air, signifying that Bella was in the house. It made his monster rear it's head but he pushed it down, focussing on the decorations rather than the smells.
"Are those graduation caps?" Ellis blurted suddenly. The brightly coloured arrangement had caught his eyes.
Carlisle chuckled, "yes. We've accumulated quite a few over the years".
"How old are all of you?" Ellis couldn't help but ask. It was the curiosity in him.
"Well, our ages vary but we are all over fifty years old. I am the oldest, being over three hundred years old", Carlisle informed him.
Ellis couldn't help but gape. It was a human expression that Carlisle had seen on many of his child patients over the years. Mouth open in wonder, eyes wide in surprise. The expression highlighted again just how young he was. So young and still relatively new to this world. It made Carlisle pity him. He was far too young to have been turned, had too short of a human life. Any younger and he would have been considered an immortal child. It was tragic really.
They continued into the living room where everyone was assembled. Bella was sat on a comfortable looking sofa surrounded by a crowd of vampires and a few wolves. On her left sat a tall tanned boy with the same ink black hair as the rest of the pack. He was glaring daggers at Ellis, looking like a particularly grumpy guard dog. (He heard Edward snort as the thought crossed his mind)

On Bella's right was the same pixie like girl that Ellis had seen fighting the long haired man. She was holding Bella's hand gently, fixing Ellis with a confused stare. Around the sofa was two more vampires, both female. The older woman had a certain vibe that reminded Ellis of his mother and he quickly tore his gaze away from her before he started remembering. The second female was stunning but cold. She had her arms crossed and was observing Ellis like one would observe a toddler having a tantrum.
Upon entering the room, Edward immediately crouched down next to Bella and the pixie vampire, reclaiming her hand. Emmet and Jasper (Ellis still did not know which was which) separated and stood in between the two standing females. Whilst the two wolves took position next to the sofa, as far away from the vampires as they could get.
"He's not dangerous", the pixie girl spoke up. "He won't hurt us".
"Alice is right", Edward joined. "He's too terrified of the wolves to try anything".
The wolf boy next to Bella smiled with amusement, causing Ellis to flinch back a step. For some reason, the youngest wolf boy looked saddened by this reaction. Ellis locked eyes with him again for a second, before sweeping the room.
"So", the smiling wolf boy began. He leaned back against the seat cockily, award of Ellis' fear. "Why don't you tell us why you're here".
"I want to help you kill Victoria".
Silence did not fall, the room having already been quite quiet, but there was a new atmosphere.
"Why?" It was Bella who spoke.
"For revenge", Edward answered, reading straight out of Ellis' mind. "He came to us for help because he's scared. He can't kill her and her army on his own".
"I want her to pay", Ellis gritted his teeth. "I want her to pay for what she did to me. I've already told this to Carlisle", he complained. "Can we just skip this?"

"She raped you", Edward said, reading out loud from Ellis' mind. "They killed your family. Turned you, humiliated you. You were James and Victoria's pet".
Bella's face filled with horror and she covered her mouth with her hands. Shock and pity filled her eyes as she stared. Surprise littered most of the faces in the room.
The older female vampire with caramel hair let out a cry of "Edward! That was uncalled for".
Ellis laughed, much to the shock of everyone. "That was blunt. Basically, that sums it up. But you didn't need to do that. I know that you can read my mind, so stop showing off".
Alice cracked a grin. "I like him", she chirped. "Can we keep him? He's staying anyway".
That seemed to make up everyone's mind. Ellis watched, fascinated as the whole coven responded to Alice's words. She must be the one who could read the future. It was a powerful and scary gift.
If Ellis was still human, he would have coughed. Instead he raised an eyebrow. "Am I? Well, if that's the case then my name is Ellis Francis and I am fifteen years old. If I had not been turned then I would be almost eighteen by now", he introduced politely.
Alice bounced off the sofa and pointed to each person. "This is Esme, Rosalie, Emmet, Jasper, You already know Edward. That's Jacob and Sam. Sam is the alpha of the Quileute pack, and Seth".
Ellis let his eyes linger on Seth. The boy was still staring at him with wonder and something else, something deeper. It made Ellis uneasy. "What are you looking at?" He snapped, teenage anger rising.
"You", Seth spoke, then his face turned red as he realised what he had said. Jacob and Emmett barked out laughing as Ellis shuffled in embarrassment. Jacob held out a hand and gave the blushing boy a high five and Ellis scowled.
"Well", Carlisle clapped a hand on Ellis' shoulder. "You can have the guest room and later Jasper will take you out hunting. We feed on animals here, not humans. The diet will be quite hard to adjust to but you're still newly turned so it should not be that bad".
Ellis, feeling bored, filled his face with mock horror. "Animals?" He cried. "You mean I have to eat Bambi?"
Edward, Emmet, Jacob and Seth all burst out laughing. Alice and Bella were wearing big grins whilst Esme just shook her head. Even Rosalie was smiling slightly.
"Yes", Carlisle chuckled. "You do have to eat bambi".
Ellis shrugged, "it's better than eating thumper. I always liked him. Do we get to eat simba? Wait, there are no lions in America. Damn".
Whilst he was talking, the others continued to laugh. "Finally," Jacob gasped. "A corpse with a sense of humour".
"Hey", Ellis frowned. "Just because I'm undead does not mean that I suddenly become boring. I may be in dead but at lest I put the fun in funeral. Not to mention the hot in psychotic", he winked at the room.
Alice danced across the room and enveloped Ellis in a hug. "Yay, I've always wanted a little brother. I can't wait to take you shopping".
Even though it was physically impossible, Ellis seemed to get paler. "Shopping? The type of shopping where I have to try on outfits? Oh hell no".
This made Jasper, who had been smiling lightly the entire time, break and begin full out laughing. Alice pouted, "You don't like shopping?"
"If it's in public then no", Ellis deadpanned.
"Damn".
