《Pathetic || Seth Clearwater》Four

They bit him. Four nips on his limbs with enough venom to paralyse him but not enough seriously injure him. He could feel his marble skin crack under their fangs. Ellis felt pathetically vulnerable as the big burly vampire picked him up, his arms restraining him easily. He was huge. Emil felt like a small child again, lost and afraid.
The golden wolf let out a small wine and Ellis' eyes darted towards it. Their eyes connected and Ellis felt his fear show on his face. It was just for a second but that small flash of vulnerability struck home. The golden wolf snarled and made to move forward but was held back by the rest of it's pack.
"You said you wouldn't hurt me", Ellis accused, baring his teeth in a snarl at Carlisle in anger.
"We won't", the older vampire assured. "This is for your own safety as well as for our us. Emmet, Jasper", he addressed both males. "Take him to the cellar and bring him some blood to calm him down. Don't hurt him".
The long blonde haired man and the guy carrying Ellis nodded. They began running swiftly, the trees blurring as they sped up. Ellis struggled and protested, shouting and snarling until Emmet placed a large hand over his mouth. "Shut it", he growled. "Or we shall hand you back to Victoria".
Ellis shut up.
They took him to a house deep in the woods. It was a modern building, all made out of deep coloured wood and glass. Emil thought that it looked rather homely despite the undead occupants. The large windows and airy furnishings allowed as much light as possible into the room. Ellis caught a glimpse of a gorgeous black grand piano set by itself and winced. The instrument brought back things he would much rather forget.

He was manhandled quickly through the living room and down a set of stairs at the back of the house. The two men finally dropped him in a underground room made completely out of concrete. As soon as he touched the floor Ellis was scrabbling away into a corner, making himself as small as possible. The concrete blocked any noises from outside, isolating Ellis from his surroundings.
"Is this how you treat your guests?" He asked sarcastically. "I'm honoured".
The long haired man ignored him, taking a step forward he scanned Ellis with his gold eyes. A lethargic feeling settled over him, making him want to relax against the wall. "You're not a new born", the man observed. "If you're not a newborn then why has Victoria not killed your off yet?"
"I won't answer you until Carlisle arrives", Ellis retorted. "I don't like repeating myself".
There was a tense silence. It may have only been a minute but to Ellis it seemed much longer. Eventually they could hear quiet footsteps as Carlisle came into view. In his hand was a blood bag which he offered to Ellis. Carlisle smiled as he saw Ellis' hesitation. "It's alright. It has not been tampered with". Before he had finished speaking, the blood bag was out of his hands and being drained quickly.
Tossing the empty bag away, Ellis wiped his mouth. "So", he spoke with a certain hostility. "What do you want to know? I mean, there's no point with holding information. I'm dead if Victoria catches me".
Whilst he was speaking Edward and two others entered the room. Both of the newcomers shared the same gold skin and ink black hair. One was a large young man, probably around his early twenties, who stood strongly with dominance. The other was a young boy, around Ellis' age, who stood staring at Ellis in wonder. Ellis hissed at them and backed away from them as much as he could. They smelt of wet dog and it burned his nose.

"Are you going to kill me?"Ellis asked in a small voice. The two newcomers were unnerving him.
"You are scaring him", Edward spoke aloud to the two wolves. "He's frightened of us. He's trying to act older than he is but he's young. It's not long before he starts acting on his instincts".
Edward was right. Fear and panic was slowly eating away at Ellis' rationality.
"Stop talking about me as if I'm not here", he snapped with a snarl.
"Jasper", Carlisle called and a wave of calm spread over the room. Ellis felt himself calm down slightly.
"Now, why don't you tell us why your here", Carlisle suggested. Ellis bit his lip for a moment, silent as he tried to assemble his thoughts. Memories flashed across his eyes and he winced.
Edward decided to speak up for him, reading straight out of his mind. "He's called Ellis Francis and he's fifteen. He's here because he hates Victoria for turning him and wishes to see her die. He could have disappeared and escaped by now but he won't because"-
"I can talk for myself thank you very much", Ellis growled, interrupting him. "I get that you can read my mind but you can stop now". Standing on slightly shaky legs, Ellis met all the stares with unwavering eyes. "Victoria turned me just over a year ago by accident. She sent me on a trip up north and when I returned James was dead and Laurent had left. She wants me to help her avenge James but I don't want to. I hate her", Ellis spat the last sentence, eyes alive. "I only stayed with them this long because I knew that James would catch me if I ran away. There are around twenty two newborns in her army but the numbers change often so I'm unsure how many she will have when you fight. But that's all I can do".
Carlisle nodded solemnly before placing a hand on Ellis' shoulder. "You're going to be with us for a while", he said as he began steering Ellis towards the stairs. "So let's introduce you to everyone".
"Don't touch Bella", Edward threatened as Ellis passed him.
Ellis scoffed weakly, feeling emotionally drained. "As if, that's an instant death sentence. I can keep a certain amount of control". That answer seemed to satisfy Edward and he nodded.
As they passed the two wolves the man let out a low warning growl, obviously not happy with Ellis' presence. The boy kept his eyes on Ellis, watching him with a look that unsettled him. Red met honey brown and Ellis looked away. That stare made him feel more on edge than ever before. There was something there, probably the way the boy looked at Ellis as if he had hung the moon, that made Ellis' skin tingle.
