"So where are you from Ellis?" Bella asked as she took a seat on the sofa. Of course, she was not alone. Edward stood silently behind the couch, pretending to watch the tv which was display some sort of sports. Whilst Jasper was sat on a arm chair with a chess board laid out in front of him. He was playing against Emmet, who was on the other side of the house. To make up for this, Edward would call out a move on Emmet's behalf.
"England", Ellis hummed, keeping his voice level. He was leaning against the arm of the opposite sofa, mimicking the human position with ease. "Devon to be precise. I lived in a village near Exeter. My parents and I were on holiday to Florida to visit my aunt and uncle. Unfortunately, my aunt and uncle lived in a isolated area which made it better for Victoria to attack". He felt his hand trail down to his right wrist, where his bracelet of teeth lay. His fingers stroked across each canine, calming himself as the small amount of memories flashed in his mind. Jasper raised an eyebrow at the movement before turning back to his board.
Bella caught the action. Her human eyes furrowed as she tried to make out what Ellis was doing. "What are those on your bracelet?" She asked without thinking.
Ellis leaned towards her slightly, lips widening to expose his teeth. "Are you sure you want to know?" He grinned, daring her to ask.
Bella blinked, moving back and scowling. She was still uneasy around him but obviously had enough trust in Edward to protect her. That was smart. "Are you going to tell me or not?" She was now slightly annoyed.
"They are teeth", Jasper spoke without looking up. "Vampire teeth. Probably from all the newborns you've killed".

Ellis stared hard at the blonde Male. He still had mixed feelings about the Cullens. He didn't quite hate them enough to hurt them, he would be dead if he tried. But they weren't on his list of friends yet. Ellis was a quick learner and if there's one thing that dying taught him, was not to trust anyone.
"You take all the fun out of things Jasper", Ellis pouted. He stood up and began heading towards the door, wanting a bit of fresh air. The human smell was becoming cloying. Edward and Jasper did not stop him.
Once out of the door, Ellis perched himself on the edge of the porch. Bringing his knees up to his chest, he curled his arms round his legs and laid his head on his knee. The position was not uncomfortable, but he did not find the familiar comfort that he used to feel from it either.
A recognisable smell, water mixed with the scent of trees and wet dog, filled his nostrils and he frowned. Footsteps sounded and a pair of tanned legs appeared in the corner of his vision. The young wolf boy, who Ellis now remembered was called Seth, sat down next to him and held out a hand. He was dressed in nothing but a pair of dirty denim shorts.
Ellis turned and gazed at the outstretched palm.
"I figured I would introduce myself", Seth gave Ellis a easy warm smile. "My name is Seth Clearwater. I've just turned fifteen. It's nice to met you".
"As you already know, I'm Ellis Francis. And I'm going to be forever fifteen". Ellis but his lip to refrain from laughing. The boy was obviously nervous which was rather cute. Cautiously, he slowly stretched out his own hand. Their fingertips touched, a shock of hot and cold which made Ellis draw back slightly, before carefully placing his palm in the other's. He gave the hand a quick shake before hastily retreating.

The extensive heat coming off of Seth made Ellis fell like his palm had been burnt. He was so used to feeling cold that he didn't really notice it anymore. But the heat of Seth's touch made him feel like he was touching fire. It was slightly addictive.
Seth beamed like he had won the lottery. His overjoyed enthusiasm in their conversation surprised Ellis. From anyone else, the attention would have made Ellis feel unsettled and awkward. But for some reason, Seth made him feel more at ease. Maybe it was something in his honey eyes, the way he looked at Ellis as if he had painted the sky, that did not make him feel so uncomfortable. What ever it was, Ellis found it weird.
"So, tell me about yourself", Seth stated hopefully.
"You already know about me becoming a vampire", Ellis began.
"No," Seth shook his head. "About yourself. Any hobbies you have, likes, dislikes. Fave colours, places. Stuff like that. I want to get to know you".
This was getting weirder and weirder for Ellis. Here, was a boy who could turn into a wolf the size of a car and which could take his head off in one bite, wanting to get to know him. Definitely a totally normal situation.
"Um", Ellis actually found himself stuttering slightly. If he was human, he would be blushing. "My favourite colour is a golden brown, like honey. That was also my favourite food when I was human. I used to draw and play the cello. I'm not sure about my likes or dislikes yet".
Seth was watching him with a fond look, his eyes drinking up every little detail. It actually made Ellis quite nervous. Suddenly a look of pure irritation spread across Seth's face and he stood up.
"I'm sorry but I need to go. My sister is calling me", he apologised.
Ellis felt strangely slightly sad. "Um okay", he uttered.
"Let's talk again okay?" Seth beamed at him once more before moving off into the trees. There was a organic like sound and Ellis caught a glimpse of the shine of his golden coat before he vanished.

Two And A Half Deadmen
Silver-Spruce is a very strange and very haunted town. Ghosts inhabit its buildings and walk its streets. Some of them friendly and sane. Some of them not so much. Alder helps ghosts. Helps them fulfill their last requests so they can move on to whatever comes next. Sometimes the ghosts aren't so friendly and have to be moved on by force. Alder does that as well. And he's gotten rather good at it too. After a particularly rough exorcism, he finds himself following a strange ghost to a local tourist attraction. And while Alder never means to find himself caught up in chaos, monsters, magic, and mayhem always seem to have a way of finding him. You want more specifics for what you're reading? Here you go: This is Urban-fantasy but a little bit of a different spin. Often the protagonists in such stories tend to be the bigger fish in their world, or at least far from small fry. Be they legendary boogie men or badass wizards (which is in no way a bad thing, I love a lot of those stories.) But I thought it would be fun to have a protagonist who's far closer to the bottom end of the scale. He has some magic, and it's potent in its own way. But he isn't the big dog or a fighting machine. Outside of his bubble of influence, our protagonist is essentially a normal human as far as powers are concerned. And while you should be warned that this story will get dark in some places it's (hopefully) balanced out by humor and the lighter stuff. I'm not sure how to end this synopsis section so I'll just say bye. Bye!
