《Free》Chapter 4: The Boy Who Uses Ninjutsu! Part I
Advertisement
I walked down the mountain road, slowly making my way to the forest. I didn't take time to look how they treated me, bandages almost everywhere, they stopped blood coming out from my body too.
I kept hearing breathing, not too far away. It's better for me to find the one breathing and ask him about the crow, surely he couldn't have missed it.
I rushed towards the sound, it was getting louder and louder.
I stopped, I was surrounded by four trees. I could hear the breathing, as if it was behind my ear. I looked around, and saw nothing.
I kept looking around, anticipating an attack, but nothing happened.
nothing.
...
I started looking behind the trees, one by one. I saw nothing, until I came up to the fourth three.
The sound was coming from this tree, but, no one is there. A tree breathing? Is that even possible?
I kept staring at it.
...
Then, I felt an attack, between my legs, it was.. powerful.
I fell down, holding my hands between my legs. While on the ground I was looking around, to see if there even is an enemy anywhere.
Why.
Why can't I see anyone?
"You fool!" someone talked.
He was breathing heavily and talking in the same time.
"You have been attacked, by the one and only, SAKAMOTO THE NINJA!" the voice continued.
Huh? Ninja?
I looked in the middle, where the tree's we're circling, there was some kind of boy standing there.
He had wrapped around something white around his hair, only a long ponytail was showing. He had some kind of vampire looking outfit, and a belt with different weapons.
"NOW! Be ready for the attack that will end your life, right here!" he screamed.
He jumped towards me, but instead he had jumped diagonally and hit the tree, which was right next to me.

He slowly fell down, his face against the tree.
...
He looked up, his face was red.
I looked at him with a disappointed and disgusted face.
Is this really the guy who managed to attack me?
His nose had snot running down to his chin.
"Hey boy, did you see a crow flying in the sky earlier?" I asked.
"Nyehe" he laughed.
He had a smile on his face, a disgusting one. "I'll only tell you if you help me out!" he said.
I looked at him with disgust.
"Just fine, what do I have to do?" I asked while slowly getting up.
It still hurt, but it looks like this boy is the only one who can help me.
"Kill the man hunting me" he said.
H-Hunting?
"Wait, just who are you?" I asked.
"I am.." he began.
"A runaway slave from Clout"
...
"Sure, just tell me who it is" I said while I drew out my swords.
He began walking, I followed him.
He was much shorter than me, how is this boy even a ninja.
We walked, on and on.
It felt like an eternity.
Then. We stopped.
He ducked down behind a bush, I too ducked down.
"GAH! Your spiky hair! HE'S GOING TO SEE US" he screamed in a quiet tone.
I looked around from the bush, then I saw a man.
He was pretty big, his skin tone was brown, short hair, a big beard, and he was holding two big Cutlass'.
I jumped down from the bush.
I attacked from above but he quickly saw me and blocked my swords with his.
"Who might you be?!" he said and backed down.
"I am.." I said.
...
"I am..."
..
"I am the Ninja's master!" I said.
I looked at him.
"WHAT?!" he screamed.
"HUH?!" the boy screamed from behind me.
"Come on, let's fight!" I shouted.

Limitless Adaptation
Jamie, 19, was walking into the kitchen for dinner when he suddenly found himself walking down a street in another world, a world with a game system. There, he meets a half-dragon, half-human named Adam, who faces adversity in most places, because of his parentage, and not long after they meet, the two of them are forced to leave town, due to Adam's beast nature. In the world of Tielmar, there are species of all varieties, a Class exists for nearly everything, and Skills come in quite a few forms. Jamie starts off with a Skill called "Limitless Adaptation", which supposedly allows him to adapt to any need, but is it really as powerful as it sounds? And more importantly - can it help him survive in a world where his first friend is a reject in all communities? Will Jamie, Adam, and the other friends and teammates they make in their journey find peace, allies, and love? Or will they fall to the powerful Adventurers that soon begin to hunt their team, to claim the bounties on several of its members, a bounty Jamie himself quickly finds on his own head? All of Book 1 is now posted, and Limitless Adaptation is officially done with the decision to rewrite. Credits for the cover go to me.
