The commissioner's been in a really foul mood lately, stomping around the office, he’s yelling more than he normally does, especially at Diann. Poor Diann.

She’s just trying her best, she told me we were getting a new addition to the office, she didn’t know who it was but everyone’s convinced it's why he’s so mad. The others are excited though, Jim even bought a desk for the new member.

In the end, I got it, the commissioner told Jim and I quote,

“It doesn't need no damn chair.” this has sent the office into a buzz Jim asked if we were getting a dog the commissioner's response was;

“No, but it might as well BE one”

Now the whole station is buzzing with excitement, everyone's guessing who, or what the new member will be. Jim’s convinced we’re getting a robot dog and it's clashing with the commissioners' old-timey ways. Diann thinks it's probably just a new computer and that the commissioner is just messing with people by calling it a new recruit.

I wonder what Beth from forensics thinks it is. she’s so smart, I bet she could figure it out, and because of this murder spree, I have an excuse to talk to her. That is the one thing about this case I’m excited about.

Whatever it is though, the commissioner doesn’t like it.
