What a day, honestly. I know I keep saying that but it feels like each day gets more and more bizarre.

The commissioner and I went down to the precinct today, apparently, he needed me for backup. He definitely seemed even worse today than normal.

“Today is an awful day Cain, I mean it, an awful, disgusting day.'' Of course, being the dumb human I am, made the mistake of asking what was so awful. This sent the commissioner on a tirade. I was able to piece a couple of things together.

Apparently., there was a man in the asylum named Harold Gosbi. This man is apparently a genius., and the mayor decided that he could help solve the murders. The commissioner was upset because Harold Gosbi was known for being a loose cannon who killed some guy outside of town. He’s convinced that the mayor's decision was not only giving him an excuse to cause more damage but was also pointless as no one, especially a loon like Mr. Gosbi could actually solve something the police had been working on for such a long time.

Things only got worse when we got to the place and the doctors ran through how we should interact with Gosbi. Small things like, “make sure you don’t have anything that can be used as a weapon” or, “if he complains about being sick mention it after the meeting so he doesn't have a chance to get out.” normal expected things like that. that wasn’t what upset him though, no, what upset him was when the doctors told us,

“He thinks he’s sherlock holmes. it may be annoying but it's best to just play along.” these simple words made him SO MAD! He went on a full-blown rant! Going on about how stupid this whole thing was and if he was willing to take the time to talk to him then MR. GOSBI should at least act like he wasn’t crazy. So on and so forth,

Mr. Gosbi must have heard this because when one of the nurses went to check on him, he apparently “forbid” the commissioner from entering the room. I was still allowed in the room though, along with a couple of the doctors entering with me to insure my safety.

When I entered, I found Mr. Gosbi wasn’t anywhere close to what I expected. He was very short and seemed very frail, he had greasy black hair and green eyes. Also his face, there was something about his face that didn’t seem, natural…. I still haven't figured it out.
