《The Plan》0.1 Champion - Lukus - Memories

A cloud of mist was hovering over the body of the previous champion. This cloud was confused while staring at what it preceived as it self.
"Am I dead?" The cloud knew and could remember the events leading up to it's death. In a daze it started to recall the events that had lead up to the events before it's death, starting from the very beginning.
On this continent, mystical power affinity scales with the understanding of combat related fields; the champion spent his entire life since childhood training. He was trained as an assassin since 5 years old. After 5 years, the facility that he lived at was destroyed, and many of the other children died. At the time, he was one of the only children that wasn't at the facility, but being escorted to show off the facilities abilities to some clients. The two escorts were surrounded by one of the governors platoons. The governor was a noble lord of this valley. When they found out the escorts were leading a child they captured that one alive, and killed the two trained escorts.
For the next 10 years he was a soldier given to the emperor's army. At first he was a mindless warrior, but soon valued all the other soldiers as comrades in arms. He was told that he would be given citizenship if he continued to help unify the kingdoms under the emperor's name. He didn't care whether he killed humans or monsters, but after the human kingdoms were united under the emperor, and the battle between the humans and non-humans started many of the green horns didn't have the same mindset. Humans were justice.
"I was at the anniversary celebration for the unity of Yggdrasil island." Yes, thought the mist. The event he should have been very proud of was what he was thinking about, but... "Why do I feel like I wasn't proud?" Many questions the cloud had, but with no answers he felt depressed enough maybe... His thoughts stopped... He often had thoughts of suicide when he was still alive.

Thinking back to the child in the sewer, "Why are monsters the enemy of humans? I originally thought humans were the enemy of everything including other humans, but one day it stopped. When there were no more human enemies... Instead of killing human combatants, we probably started the annihilation of non-combatants of non-humans... What is it that I feel so unsatisfied with..."
The area we perceive in our life consists of more than just the physical world we walk through. All life consists of a physical part and a link to somewhere else other than the physical world. We call this link a soul. When the physical body dies, the soul becomes disconnected from it. Almost everything in the physical realm has one or more links attached to it. When the physical body dies, the link related to life is disconnected. The soul “link” is a fragment of the soul used to connect the soul realm to the physical one.
Lukus’s soul wasn’t anything you would scuff at. The soul realm is a very hectic place, energy is constantly being generated out of nothingness, as well as energy being erased. Souls can attack smaller souls, especially the newly generated ones. If you connect to the physical realm you become immune from being consumed by others. Many of the smaller souls that are generated immediately connect to the physical realm, and become the insects and plants that are countless. If you consume freshly killed physical objects that had their souls recently disconnected from the physical realm, you can absorb a percentage of the soul link based on the degradation stage the link is in.
*ping* A sound was heard in the soul's consciousness.

Souls can only spend their power on wishes from the depth of it’s soul. When Lukus died, he wished that he could try again from the depth of his soul and heart. He wanted to make amends, not everything different is a monster. Well, Lukus was reborn. On this bountiful island, hidden under another, inside a small pocket. The inhabitants know nothing of the island above, seeing the ceiling as the limit for their own cage. The island gleams and flourishes with different energies. The island is round, with a diameter of 20 miles. There sits a single town, Town of Blu, on the miniature island of Blu.

Theomancer
My very own first book: I know it won't be perfect, so any constructive criticism would be appreciated. A peculiar reject from modern society ends up as one of the summoned people in another world, but will the premise hold up to the reality of things? only one way to find out! Follow an irascible Darwin's adventures while he pioneers his class in a whole new world, where colors and willpower are two of the most important things, besides respecting the Gods (and avoiding stronger pricks that are just waiting for an excuse to trample someone). -first-person, portal fantasy, litrpg -the cover is my crude attempt with Paint

Interpersonal Chemistry
On the cusp of 30, Mitch Calvert is a typical Millennial that finds himself facing instability and crossroads for what feels like the hundredth goddamn time in a decade. Now he’s temporarily incapacitated, which is keeping him from his form of escapism at the worst imaginable moment. But what can you do? It’s either take the beatdown without putting up any resistance, or grab a steel chair and start swinging back. Interpersonal Chemistry is the story of misfit wrestlers that takes place in the fictional city of Monument, Massachusetts. It’s rated M, intended for mature audiences only due to sensitive subject matters such as: mental illness, addiction, trauma, violence (typical of the setting), and vulgar language.
