《The Plan》1 Blu - Rhav - Bridge it to completion

The town of Blu, a moderately large town on this bountiful island, hidden under another, inside a small pocket. The inhabitants know nothing of the island above, seeing the ceiling as the limit for their own cage. The island gleams and flourishes with magical and mystical energies; one from it self and the other from above respectfully. The island is Rhombus or trapezoid shaped, and has a diameter of 20 miles from edge to edge. Other than the single town you can count the neiboring villages, camps, and settlements on a single hand, numbering 4.
The people of this island are blessed with two magical crystals on the island. Magical powers can be inherited, and the magical crystal with it's energy mutates the magical abilities of residents over many generations. Essentially, children can share a percentage of power from their parents plus what they absorb over their life time. This means magical powers could increase from just selective breeding, however magical powers have to be awakened for larger dormant powers which can lead to weakening of powers to offspring as well. One of the Magical Crystals has a temple and the crystal gives off an aura that isn't conductive for life, but has a fire and mind affinity. The second of the magical crystals was dubbed as a Life vein, and situated under a lake. The life vein gives off lots of energy for the nearby flora and plant life to turn what was once a desert into a marsh.
The chief of the island solves all disputes, has the final say in all decisions, and keeps all the people safe. The chief is decided on either a chief's first born child that reaches 360 Million Seconds (AN: 12 years), appointed by the current chief, or selected by a member of the council before a vote would happen. The Chief for Blu's current son, Rhav Taz Blu, is 300 Million Seconds (AN: 10 years) old. The current chief, Taz Rak Blu, is 870 Million Seconds (AN: 29 Years) old; and doesn't plan to retire for another 630 Million Seconds (AN: 21 Years) which at that point he plans to become a council member and retire from Chief.

Rhav is the son of the chieftain and a shrine maiden. The chieftain was known as the strongest on the island long before he became the chieftain, and it wasn't because of his physical prowess that stands on top, but because because of his magical abilities and specialization with sealing, canceling, and removing magic. Shrine maidens normally don't have children, because they spend so much time with the magical crystals and close proximity. Maiden children of the past have been so powerful that they would die at an early age burning their vitality faster than their body could produce it. After many disputes and discussions, Rhav's mother and father were able to get together because of the chief's sealing abilities and the Shrine maiden was one of the weakest magically empowered individuals who stayed near the magical crystal near the desert. Rhav's mother died shortly after Rhav was born because of a heart attack. Her body went into shock running a fever, and died within 7 thousand seconds (~2 hours) after giving birth. After being born his father sealed his inherited powers.
Well, Lukus was reborn. His memories, being inherited from his last life, was sealed with his inherited powers. The consciousness having amnesia didn't matter, because he was just born anyways. At the same time, 2 other shrine maidens also had children, who also had their children sealed. Both of the other shrine maidens also died, but not for the same reasons. One of the shrine maidens already had cancer and was the last of a bloodline that specialized in gravity. The other child's mother specialized in illusions. Rhav's mother specialized in healing. Jokes how someone who specialized in healing could die to a fever wasn't funny to many people, but it didn't keep such talks from happening.
When Rhav's father Taz finally finished mourning for his lover, he was lost for a period of time. The former Chief had already decided to make Taz a Chief long ago, but hadn't had the time for Taz to govern. With his new found free time, he was able to focus on many tasks. Soon the former Chief became a council member, and Chief Taz was recognized by everyone soon after.

Many goals held by one Chief might not be the same for the next. 3 Billion Seconds (AN: 100 years) ago, a Chief decided that building a bridge to find the edge of the ceiling of the world was a good idea to ascend the heavens. The Chief at the time was old and greedy. Thinking that obtaining immortality at any cost would be worth it even if everyone else had to make a sacrifice or two. So started the bridge making process, in search for the edge of the ceiling. Long ago, gave up in attempts to dig straight up. After digging 3 miles upward, they decided it was infinite amount of material. Little did they know that they were already half way up. For the last 900 Million Seconds (AN: 30 years) there has been teams building a sturdy bridge across their 'ceiling'. The sturdy bridge practically maintans a level grade. At many locations the bridge bores through the rock instead of hanging. The north east corner of the map is connected to the ceiling via a stalactites. The many stalactites hanging from the ceiling can also be a source of water collection. Placing empty pools underneath one every couple miles would allow water to eventually fill these pools.
Time went by in this story. Currently, the bridge has 400 feet from completion. The total length for the bridge is about 1500 miles, and takes a 2 month walk for travel. As the workers got closer to the edge of the ceiling noises could be heard occationally which caused the workers to work more silently and making less noise while mining. They decided to mine straight up for better structural strength at the end of this bridge, while hiding the entrance with a concealed trap door if possible. While some workers were doing this, they sent a messenger back to Blu about the good news about the bridge and the otherside of the ceiling.
