"After one year of training i learned a lot about my magic, also about magic in general" thought Andrej while looking at a letter that Katarina sent him.
"Greetings Andrej, how's it going? Bad as always?"
"I can imagine her snickering while writing that"
"I got into the North school, by defeating some guy named Danilo in a physical test, he was a duke of a place god knows where, there was a written test to, i barely passed it though.
Anyways, it's really interesting here, i am learning a lot about magic theory and history, also practical magic usage, there are also swordsmanship courses, also i made a friend, his name is Ivan Sergejevich, he is really outgoing and wild, likes to make jokes all the time.Well i must go to class now, goodbye until next time, don't forget to write back!
-Katarina"
"I'm glad that it's good for you, now i must go to train" he said while putting the paper down on the table and going to train.
"Omega star" Oleg chanted while a orb of light appeared above him and fired a beam of light which hit behind Andrej, forcing him to fall on the ground and roll down a hill.
"Hahaha i got you good now" Oleg mocked through loud laughs.
"For the love of god please stop laughing"
"But still, you are not weak"
"Really?"
"Yeah, so let us continue" Oleg said and stomped the ground with his foot, which left a big crack in the ground about 35 meters in radius and which knocked Andrej into the air, then Oleg quickly appeared before the still in the air boy and with his bare hand knocked him back to the ground.
"Oh god, that hurt" Andrej thought while his body was aching.
"Get up!" Oleg screamed, and Andrej obeyed "Attack me like you mean it!"
"Okay, i won't hold back!"
"I never expected you to!"

"Light blast" Oleg chanted, then a orb of light gathered in his hand, before expanding into a arc and firing like a blast.
"Black wave" Andrej released the spell, which created six blades of dark that parried Oleg's blast, then Andrej jumped and attempted to strike him down with his sword, but Oleg managed to draw his in time and countered his swing.
"Light blade: Full concentration"
"Dark blade: Full concentration"
They both chanted their spells, and their blades first turned shined bright and dark respectively, before the shine spread to their right hands, which enveloped them in magical energy, in turn reinforcing them and the swords, then they both went for the attack, Andrej swinged his sword vertically, which Oleg parried with his, but the slash still managed to leave a small cut on his hand, then Andrej leaped and went for a horisontal slash, Oleg got ready to counterattack, but with lightning speed reflexes Andrej managed to change the direction of his attack, which ended up wounding Oleg on the face, leaving a small trail of blood.
While Andrej was distracted due to the fact that he landed two clear hits, oleg kicked him in the chest, knocking Andrej back a little, but he quickly managed to stand back.
"Dark slash"
Oleg knew the attack was coming, but he barely managed to parry it, which left another small cut on his hand, and managed to crack his sword a little, but that left Andrej with little mana left, which automatically ended his Full concentration spell, but he had enough strength left to release one final attack, and so he leaped in the air and swinged his sword down like a hammer, while Oleg parried the strike, at the last second Andrej quickly infused the sword with all the mana he was left with, which he purposefully didnt release, so the mana exploded on itself, knocking both of them on the ground.
"You sure are working hard son"

said Kiril who walked with Andrej who passed out due to exhausting his mana supplies, back to their house, when they arrived Kiril put Andrej to sleep before hearing a knock on the door.
"Coming" said his wife Olga, then she quickly closed the door and Kiril came down into the living room.
"Look Kiril, the association came and gave me this, it's the magic school official registration, we can finally oficially register our son"
"Yeah, let's fill this while he sleeps, then i will send it back to the association" Kiril repiled and went to fill the form, after doing so he quickly went to the post station and sent it back.
Then after a week the man returned with another letter, once again Olga took the letter and read it together with Kiril and Andrej.
"Okay, i will read it now" she said with a hint of nervousness.
"Dear Antonov family.
We are writing from the Beodor Kingdom's Magecraft association to inform you that we read your son Andrej Antonov's registration to attend the Magic school, and we decided that your son is eligble to go and take the entrance exam in the mage arena in Drenograd, the capital city of the Beodor kingdom. The exam is in six months from the day this letter arives at your doorstep.
Thank you for submitting your registration.
-Acting commander of the Beodor Kingdom Magecraft association
Avram T. Danilovich"
"That means i can do the entrance exam?" Andrej asked excitingly.
"Yes son, congratulations" replied his father.
At that moment, Andrej was filled with undescribeable joy, his reaction was to run around the house and the backyard while screaming in joy.
When his euphoria died down, he immediately went to training his resolve was bigger than ever, and nobody could stop him.
That continued for the next six months, and one day before Andrej was to depart for the exam, his family and Katarina's decided to have dinner together, since they wouldn't see Andrej for a long time starting tomorrow, all of Andrej's favorite dishes were served, and the two families together enjoyed a nice evening together.
The next day, Andrej woke up at six in the morning, got ready and dressed, had a quick breakfast with his parents, and he was to depart in 15 minutes, the association issued a cart to drive the candidates to the arena in Drenograd.
"Remember son, you are your father's pride and joy, show them what you learned!"
"Of course father! I won't let you down!" Andrej replied with confidence.
"Don't even think about returning home if you fail the exam" said Kiril with a threatening tone which made him exert a dark aura.
"Now, now Kiril don't be too harsh, but son, please don't fail, or all that training will be for nothing" said Olga calmly.
"You are being more scary than father you know"
"Now, i don't wanna be late, so i guess this is goodbye" Andrej said.
"Goodbye son" said both parents as they hugged their son for the last time, before he departed for the nearest town, where the association's cart will be waiting, which was a 10 minute walk.
"He sure grew up fast don't you think so" said Olga while tearing up.
"Yeah, soon he will be strong, and a fine adventurer" replied Kiril with a sad tone before they went back into the house.
"This is just the first step of my life, and i have now decided, i will live this life to the fullest, without worry or sadness" thought Andrej while walking to the town "I am ready to throw away my past, i am a new person in a new world now. Just you wait Katarina, i am coming, and then we can be Adventurers together!"

How to Raise Your Dungeon
A dungeon core awakens for the first time. It knows nothing, it has nothing, but it can hear something. Voices, whispering, talking, and sharing. For now, they are distant. But it believes, if it proves itself, they may provide it with wisdom and direction. And so its slow but steady growth begins. Polls will come when the dungeon specifically wants to choose between a number of options, and believes it will receive an answer. However, it will "hear" any comments made on the most recent chapter, and these will shape its behaviour. It trusts you implicitely. This story is an exercise in stretching my creative muscles, so with each decision made, the options and opportunities open to the dungeon will change- some closing off forever. The dungeon will face threats periodically, and its fate in these encounters will be heavily influenced by your advice, though it will of course do its absolute best even without advice. It hardly wants to die. Heavily inspired by There Is No Epic Loot Here, Only Puns, though my approach to the concept is somewhat different from that work.
