《Player of Trials》A Dark Corridor?

*Inhale*
*Exhale*
In the centre of white nothingness, sitting on the floor in a meditation position, with closing eyes, Leon clearly was cultivating. With every circulation of Qi in his body, he takes a deep breath, just only to release it after a minute. This is the cultivation technique he bought from the store, and he has been doing it for a few weeks. To be honest, ascending in cultivation is hard and takes too much time. But, for Leon, what is even time? After all, he doesn't get old or doesn't need food to continue living in here. So he can stay in cultivation state for forever.
Also, his training habits changed a bit with the advent of the spells and techniques. From swinging his sword constantly and running around like crazy, to doing cultivation, improving his mastery of the new spells and techniques now.
But apart from these, the whispers are louder and don't leave Leon alone. Whenever he sleeps, he sees at least an one nightmare that wakes him up in a cold sweat. Fortunately, cultivating can suppress whispers, and this is another reason for Leon to like cultivation. Because he can find peace while doing it.
*Exhale*
Releasing a hot steam into the air, "Hmm, how long has it been?" Leon opens his eyes while leaving cultivation state.
Standing up, "System, show me the last notifications," Leon commanded.

"A good progress, I guess," Leon said while looking at the panel.
Cracking his neck before equipping his armor and sword, "Isn't it a good day to kill?" Leon smiled while thinking about using his new toys in an actual combat.

[DO PLAYER WANTS TO GO THE NEXT TRIAL?]
"Yes," Leon confirmed.
[TRIAL-72 IS STARTING NOW...]
With the emergence of the panel, light trembled to create another trial.
The more seconds passed, the more Leon's surroundings changed. From the lifeless nothingness, it continued creating until Leon found himself in some kind of building's corridor.
[TO COMPLETE THE TRIAL-72, CLOSE THE DIMENSONAL GATE]
"Straight to point huh," Leon said while starting walking in the dark corridor.
In the first minute of walking, Leon sees blood traces on the walls of corridor.
After walking for another minute, seeing a human corpse on the ground, Leon stops to observe it.
Kneeling down next to look closely, "Hmm, a human corpse..." Leon said before turning the corpse.
Seeing the brutal claw wounds on the corpse's chest, "Must be running from something while he was alive. But what?" Leon wondered.
Seeing no eaten parts on the corpse, "Hmm, whatever did this didn't kill him for food... Maybe for enjoyment... And maybe something's presence disturbed it..." Leon guessed.
"Something like me..." Leon said before turning his head to look at a certain part of the wall.
[-100 MP] [MP: 840/940]
Creating a magic circle secretly before standing up, "But... the thing I wonder, how long do you plan to watch me?" Leon asked, as he send out suddenly a fireball to the wall.
*BAM*
*Keeeegh!*
After the fireball hit, spreading its fire, illuminated a monster while covering it with flames. Causing it to fall from the wall, to get rid of flames, the monster rolled on the floor for a few times in pain.
While the monster struggled on the floor, Leon saw its exact looking.
The creature was twice as large as an adult human. Leon could smell its awful smell that stinking like a dead animal from where he stood. Its body wasn't full of muscle, but still it was enough to be seen through from its grey skin. With razer sharp claws on his both two hands, with his glass like teeth, and with its spiky tail it was looking like something out of a horror film. But the spikes weren't only on its tail, they were mostly on its back. And even though Leon looked at his head, he couldn't see any eyes on its head.

Taking a few steps back while unsheathing the Torchlight, "Analyze" Leon used analyze on it. If there is one thing Leon definitely understood from the trials, that is, he can't underestimate any of his foes.
[Abyss Creature #1756 Lv.18]
[RACE: ([Abyssal Creatures] don't belong to any race.)
[STRENGTH: 135]
[AGILITY: 130]
[VITALITY: 80] [HP: 620/800]
[INTELLIGENCE: 20]
*Keeeghh!*
After getting rid of the flames, the monster sent a loud scream to Leon.
"Angry are we? And I thought you liked my gift," spinning the Torchlight threateningly, "But you messed with the wrong prey," Leon said with an icy voice as he started running towards to the monster.
*Step*
[-100 MP] [MP: 740/940]
While running, "Conjure flames!" Leon cast a spell on the Torchlight by covering it with flames before he clashed with the monster.
Raising his sword to send a vertical slash, Leon attacked first. To block Leon's attack, monster tried to block the Torchlight with its claw-like fingers, unfortunately, as soon as the Torchlight touched its fingers, cuts through them like a piece of paper while the spells leaves its hand on fire.
*Keeeghh*
Screaming in pain, using its tail, swings it to cut Leon.
*Grasp*
*Drip*
Grasping its claw in the air before it touches to him, while blood drips from his palm because of the spikes on its tail, "You think the only one who has sharp things is you?" Leon smirked as he used long claw technique to cut its tail.
*Slash*
By the time the monster pulls his tail back, as the half of it was in Leon's hand, it was too late.
*Keeeegh!!"
Screaming even louder from before, the creature grits its teeth.
"Whoops! I grasped a little hard, I guess," Leon said in a sarcastic voice tone.
[-150 Qi] [Qi: 750/900]
Channelizing Qi into his legs, "Whatever, the playtime is over," Leon said as he suddenly appears in front of the monster.
Before the monster even reacts, Leon lifts the monster up with his left hand before stabbing his Qi claw into its chest.
As green blood rushes out from the deep wound in its chest, "You look even uglier from close," Leon said as he started crushing its skull to explode.
*Crack*
*Crack*
*BAM*
After Leon completely crushed its skull, the brain parts splashed on the wall while painting the corridor green.
Throwing the creature's corpse to side, "Ugh, this smell won't go for a week," Leon said as his whole armor covered by the green blood of the monster.
*Keeeghhh!*
*Keeeghhh!*
*Keeeghhh!*
*Keeeghhh!*
As the monsters' sounds echoed through the dark corridor, facing the direction of the voices where they come from, Leon sent a fireball to illuminate the dark corridor.
*Vroom*
After the fireball illuminated the corridor, the only thing Leon could see were dozens of monsters that coming towards to him.
Stabbing the Torchlight into the floor, "Oh, why didn't you tell me you have friends here?" Leon asked to the creature's dead corpse while cracking his fingers.
*Keeeegh!*
Grasping the Torchlight again, activating the (HOT BLADE) by directing his mana, "But don't worry, you won't be alone there. Soon your friends will join you," Leon smirked as the Torchlight's blade released heat around.

All Griff ever wanted out of life was to be left alone in his library with his books. In order to keep his station in the library, he is forced to work with an upstart alchemist named Nicholas Flamel. When the experiment goes awry Griff and Nick must trek along the countryside to reach the Library of Alexandria. Dodging both African and European armies would be so much easier if Griff wasn't a two-story dragon."
8 59Curse Gunner
Curse Gunner is urban fantasy, set in a realm where magic is common but powerful magicians are not. Unfortunately for Helena Aoede, if your magical specialties are necromancy, curses, and blowing things up it's hard to find a job no matter how strong a magician you are. So when a rich woman who needs a curse removed shows up at her apartment, it seems like a solution to her problems. Or at least a good way to pay the rent. Unfortunately this curse is backed by a raging inferno of hatred, and it seems it won't relent until it's sated with blood. Then again Helena's never been shy about shedding blood. Especially if she gets to decide who's blood it is.
8 66Trickster's Luck (Fantasy LitRPG)
Not all luck is good luck. Maya found herself at a character creation screen. Who was she before this? Why was she creating a character? What was the game? No idea. But she had nothing better to do and no reason not to play along. And when given the option for a rare luck-based starting class, how could she turn it down? It was rare and special! That must make it good. Right? Character-focused, low-stakes, post-death upload. Hard system: if the stats say she loses a fight, she'll lose the fight. Randomized outcomes: I roll dice behind the scenes regularly, so events flow according to the whims of chance. Nothing is set in stone. There is an overarching plot, but how the details play out and what path we take to get there is up to fate.
8 454Just A Story
A world without magic. A planet like any other, where neither monsters, demons nor gods exist. A plain, maybe even boring, earth. A world where the only advantures are either written in books, shown on TV or games. Or so it was supposed to be. Until now. Events are happening that will shacke the world. Events that have only ever happened in the fantasy of man. And at the centre of all these events stands one person. Someone who is completely overwhelmed by the events. He will have to make decisions that may not change the fate of the world, but change his and the life of everyone around him. Decisions he would regret. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I have no fixed upload scedule as of yet, I will simply upload whenever I feel like the chapter is good enough to be uploaded.

He ran into her at street theater. She was a force of nature, not a casual first time hire. She brought the house down with her performance, literally pulled the audience to their feet in standing ovation. Her performance was too real, unnerving, deeply unsettling to him. He spent all his energy keeping up with her.At the end of the play, she snatched her earnings from the director's hands and ran away, leaving a trail of questions behind her, the most burning one in his mind was:Would he ever see her again?____________________This ongoing novel imagines a world that our younger generations inherit after a series of successive presidencies in the same vein as the current model. There is no need for erecting walls, as the biggest divide created by humanity - that of social class - takes care of a post modern segregation. The poor are literally marginalized into slum-like townships and tend to be of color. The names of these townships would be enough to tell you their story. The rich, well, remain happily oblivious in the big American cities. In this world find a mysterious girl whose identity must be hidden or she would be hunted down and a young street actor who falls for her intrigue. Discover how they survive, born into a society not prepared to give them a chance. For them, the dystopia came without an apocalypse.
