《A Moth's Stories》Bestiary Of Ubris - Fae
Advertisement

The fae. A curious, playful, sometime mischievous, and another sentient race of our planet. Their intelligence is on par with most human adults but have the attitude of a human child. and unfortunately dwindling race that once were located across the globe but now are only in large numbers within the central regions of the continent Ubris, located in the southern hemisphere of the planet. This race of mana beings are only roughly 10 to 15 centimetres in height and reportedly weigh next to nothing. They have rather potent mana for their size and extremely friendly which most things are towards them as well. Magical
They can be in a multitude of colours from red, yellow, silver, purple, and there was even a rumoured one being pitch black with white eyes. They will emit a light based on their colour as well. Their bodies typically are darker shades of the colour while a lighter shade coats their body like a mist and is from tests I have done, seems to be made of mana and an entirely aesthetic evolution. The colour of their eyes tends to be a colour that stands out in some way from their body be it ones that work well, contrast, or are so openly confusing it just stands out. Awh no green
It is unknown how they reproduce if they do at all.
Their body consists of their central body which has a torso, arms, and legs. Their head seemingly floats above their torso and has a set of normally rounded eyes the also hover slightly off their face. They also have a set of four wings, two on each side which also float off their body. The shape of these wings can vary from individual to individual, but all retain the generic shape and positioning.

These creatures can only live in areas where mana density is extortionary high, typically in locations of a lot of organisms, flora and fauna alike. However, they require a wide array of organisms to be in a naturally formed environment so artificially built gardens or large parks seem to be uninhabitable for them, at least for long periods of time. It is unknown why they require this situation although it could just be the length it takes for the correct mana density conditions to form. I personally believe this to be the case.
I personally have seen 5 different fae in my long life with only one encounter of them being particularly unique. I was within the royal capital city of Issender that houses the palace belonging to the royal family that follow matriarchal succession. I was located within the inner reaches of the city close to the palace which has large open gardens and parks which have been cultivated for centuries. I was writing down notes on a pristine mana crystal I had discovered in an abandoned mine several hours away from the city when the fae appeared. Despite the otherwise skyrise structures, I had seen floating green light just outside my window a green dot from my position looking inward. I walked over to the window and opened it only for the small visitor to fly inside and start playing my crystal.
I was at first surprised at the discovery of a fae within the confines of the city but I closed my window and returned to my desk to continue my notes but the little fellas playful attitude got the better of me, so I created two small portals which scared the little visitor until I started to play with the portals myself and with some hesitation, he went through. And then back through. And back once more. For the rest of the day, I had a few portals open which the little guy would fly in and out off carrying small items before he wished to leave. HE REMEMBERED ME

I continued my work in peace that I couldn’t enjoy due to its rather infectious attitude, so I decided to sketch out and paint an image of the green fae. Sadly, it never returned which to this day somewhat saddens me. I’m even sitting in the same room as when they showed up. I can only help the little guy is safe.

Those born to Hovestile were referred to as Native Adventurers, original denizens with a natural competence for magic.-----------Alphonse Kneller is one outworld adventurer who dreams of making Hovestile his true home. Roulette: A Random Tale
Waking up in a strange world with amnesia? Not good. Having no access to the System or Status Screens that everyone else seems to be using? Not great. Not cool. Not being able to control this constant change in your powers in any way? Not awesome. People considering your random powers - that can range from completely useless to nigh godlike - to be a threat to the world as they know it? Really bad. The local ability stealing Big Bad taking an interest? Even worse. But you try. You try to make it through your life, even when things seem to be stacked up agains you. You got dealt a bad hand, but you're gonna make the best of it. Or die trying. The Sister In The Forest(Cancelled)
What do you do when you have a missing sister? Cry for the eternity of your lifeline and do nothing until you die? Or do you take a perfect opportunity of your childhood to explain the explanations of why your sister went missing in the first place? Follow a 16-year-old boy named Aaron Duncan, he is a muted teenager by choice who had lost his sister at a young age. He was five when his sister, Althea, went missing with no explanation. Aaron couldn't do anything, he couldn't prescribe a search until he was sixteen. So, he made it a struggle for the world and went mute, he refused to speak a single word until he finds his sister. And he finally got a chance, his school invited him to a multi-school camp trip to The Kielder Forest, a very recognisable memory for Aaron as it was that forest he and his sister made memories in. No chances were wasted, he agreed and went on the camp trip with his chubby best friend, George. When he arrived at the forest, he felt off. Aaron knew something was entirely eerie about the forest that never felt this way ever before, but he was the only one who felt this way so he shrugged it off and went into the forest with multiple different schools from all around the UK. Meeting Lia Ann kept Aaron thinking about his sister as they had similar personalities. One night, adrenaline was high for Aaron and he decided to go to the cave he made memories with deep in the forest. Everything was intact and his friendship with Lia grew when they both encountered each other. So, normally, Aaron thought nothing of it and continued going back to the cave until one day he was ambushed by a liquid entity that wasn't human. It almost murdered him before he was saved by an unexpected guest, his sister, in pure flesh, was finally in front of him. Aaron wanted to know everything, he asked everything until one question did it for Aaron as he found himself passed out from the help of Althea's distant eyes and woke up in his tent by George. "Was it a dream?" He asks himself dreadfully. A question that will have him explore his character, his purpose, his beliefs, his trust, and his friendships. Will a dream break Aaron down and destroy him? Or will it build him up to be even stronger to find out how his sister went missing? And possibly, what or who may have murdered her?

The Plan
An infinite world couldn’t be real, but if it was, well this would happen. Imagine a world that isn’t covered in water, but an endless atmosphere. Plates of land, named “islands”, float and drift almost aimlessly. There is no sun, stars, roof, or floor; just boundless air in every direction. Light is generated from the movement of air flow. Magical and mystical powers keep islands floating and the world full of fresh entropy. Some of these floating islands drift upwards or downwards or any combination of volatile or patterned velocities. Air flow also follows the same characteristics of islands, which generates the light and heat. In a world with no horizon, the different inhabitants struggle. Beings calling them selves deities across the endless space are countless. If you were to fall off an island, you would inevitably hit another island; if you didn’t die from old age first. Many inhabitants don’t know the land further than their own eye sight or town they grew up in. Almost all inhabitants of islands have supernatural abilities, ranging in ability and skill. Magical abilities are kept individually; and mystical powers are borrowed. Islands float because the land is enchanted by either a magical or mystical crystal. Magical islands are known for vertical variance, while mystical islands are known for vertical stability. The islands rotate around focal points, known as 'the center'. There are many 'the center', but no one knows this yet... Warning: Tagged Mature 18+ for Strong Language, Gore, Violence, and sexual scenes. Google Drive (Click here to open new window) WIP/spoilers
