yuna placed the 3rd bottle of soju on the table counter and looked at herself in the mirror but it was all blurry and she had to hold onto the counter to keep herself up.
her head was now hurting and she was in pain. she never experienced this type of pain before and she hated it. she quickly wanted to leave the party, "i-i have to l-leave.."
the girl shakily walked over to the door, opening it and looking around the hallway and luckily no one was there to see her.
yuna stumbled across the hallway, trying to just do her best to leave the hallway but her vision was not allowing it and she kept tripping over herself, almost falling multiple times.
not only could see not walk properly, the girl could barely see, her head was hurting and her heart was racing from the adrenaline but it wasn't a good rush of adrenaline
a boy walked up the stairs and immediately noticed the stumbling girl in the hallway, "are you ok-" he stopped his sentence halfway as he realized who it was, "yuna??"
as soon as her name was called, she collapsed to the floor
"yuna noona!" niki shouted and ran up to her, kneeling down to her, "what happened-" he stopped talking when he smelt something, "yuna! you smell like alcohol..did you drink?"
the girl didn't respond as she held onto the boy's forearms, looking down at the floor and tried to just get herself up
niki bit his lip, panicking. he had to get help but he didn't want to leave a drunk girl alone in the hallway. the boy didn't have his phone on him currently since he had left it in heeseung's room so it can charge. he figured the girl had her phone so he went into her sweater pocket, grabbing the girl's phone out of her pocket and tried to get in but he needed a fingerprint.
"oh..wait she had face ID" niki put the phone up to the girl's face, it unlocking immediately.
niki went into her contacts app, finding jake's contact. he pressed on the 'call' and put the phone up to his ear, "please answer.." niki was nervous as he looked at the girl who was still holding onto him.
to be honest, niki had no idea if she was sleeping right now or not
jake and sunghoon were looking around for yuna when jake's phone buzzed. he took out his phone and immediately answered it after seeing the caller ID, "yuna?? where are you?"
sunghoon leaned in, curious as well
"uh actually it's niki" sunghoon leaned back, confused at the voice since it was definitely not yuna but he couldn't hear what the voice said
"niki? why do you have yuna's phone?" jake asked also confused, looking over at sunghoon
"can you guys just come upstairs please? i don't know what to do right now" niki spoke and jake could sense the worry in his voice
"we'll be there" jake hung up on the call and looked at sunghoon, "niki said to go upstairs. he seems really panicked"
the two boys were lost but nonetheless proceeded to walk to the stairs through the partying students and went up the stairs.
immediately as they reached the top, they saw niki kneeling besides yuna, the two holding onto each other
"yuna!" the two boys shouted and quickly ran over to them, kneeling down as well
"what happened??" sunghoon asked, looking at niki
"i-i don't know! i came up the stairs and yuna was stumbling on the floor and then she fell" niki explained, panicking over the girl and obviously worried

"she smells like alcohol" sunghoon pointed out
jake held onto her shoulders, pulling her up from niki's arms and staring at her but her head was hung low, looking at the ground, "yuna were you drinking??" jake questioned her but there was no response, "yuna! respond!"
the girl shot her head up and stared at jake, noticing his hands were on her shoulders. she brushed jake's arms off of her and attempted to just stand up on her own which didn't work causing her to fall back down again, her arms holding onto sunghoon and niki to land her fall
niki and sunghoon held onto her arms, helping her stand up straight
immediately she threw off their arms, claiming she can stand by herself but as soon as she said that, she stumbled back towards the wall, her back hitting the wall.
jake scoffed and took a few steps towards her, "you can't walk. im taking you home yuna"
she looked at him and rolled her eyes, "as if i want you to walk me home"
"the hell is with your attitude? i'm trying to help you yuna! you're intoxicated! i'm concerned for you, i don't want you to get hurt" he spoke, getting angry but he had to be calm and remind himself that she is drunk and not in a good state of mind
"and i don't want you to take me home, okay?!" she angrily yelled at the boy then placed her hand on her head as it began hurting more.
the three boys stood back in shock as they heard her yell. it was very rare that yuna were to yell in anger; more rare than jake stuttering in front of people
"well then that sounds like a personal problem because i'm the one taking you home" jake spoke before wrapping the girl's arm around his shoulder and wrapping his around her waist, holding onto her tightly. he turned towards the two boys, "i'll see you guys another time" the two nodded
"text us when you get yuna home safely" sunghoon reminded him and jake nodded
jake then led yuna down the stairs, attempting to get through the crowds of people and for her to not trip every where
once they were to front of of the house where it was silent and there was no one, jake put yuna on the bench and was going to take off his jacket but realized he left it inside the house
he cursed as he wanted to wrap his jacket around yuna. he then bent down to the girl, pointing his finger at her, "don't you dare leave this bench. i'll be back in a few seconds"
she smacked his hand away, "don't tell me what to do"
he rolled his eyes as he quickly ran back into the house to grab his jacket and to tell heeseung that he was leaving with yuna.
jake quickly came back and luckily, yuna was still there on the bench, about half asleep, leaning her head back
he sighed and walked over to her. he moved her body slightly up on the bench and put the jacket around her, wrapping it around her waist
he then bent down in front of her, placing his hands on her knees as he looked up at her, "yuna why did you drink?" jake asked the girl who was obviously drunk and out of it, "you're not even of age yet. who even let you have a drink??i know damn well our friends-"
"stop talking" she muttered, cutting off his sentence and dropping her head onto his shoulder, "your voice annoys me"

jake sighed, not thinking he would ever have to deal with a drunk yuna, "your parents are going to murder me.."
yuna lifted her head and leaned her head back. jake then turned around, "yuna get on my back"
"i want to be alone jake.."
"well i'm not letting you be alone in this state" he grabbed yuna's arms from behind and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling her to his back. he grabbed the back of her thighs and lifted her up and then he stood up, adjusting her as her head fell to his shoulder.
jake began walking down the sidewalk as they stayed in silence until jake began speaking to the girl , scolding her basically
"stop making me worry for you yuna" he started, "i won't always be there to care for you and neither will sunghoon" he looked over at the girl whose eyes were closed on his shoulder. he sighed, "i shouldn't be mad at you since you're drunk. i'll let you off the hook i guess since you're so adorable and it isn't exactly your fault-"
"jake.." yuna spoke, cutting him off
he flinched at the sound, not expecting her to say anything. he looked over at her, noticing her head was now faced the other way and not towards him, "yes?"
"why do you not like me? you take care of me..and you make me happy and you tell me i make you happy" she started, "but why don't you like me?" jake stopped in place and didn't answer while she bitterly chuckled, her eyes shut, "everybody in this world can hate me.."
"and i wouldn't care about that..but it's not okay for you to not like me. i hate it" jake continued to listen to her, "it's frustrating. you said i'm good..you said im adorable...but why don't you like me? why? jake.." a tear fell down her cheek and hit his neck, "i like you so much..it hurts knowing that you'll never feel the same way as me"
jake took in a deep breath, a tear wanting to come out but he shook his head and continued to walk just so he can get yuna home
♡
yuna woke up the next morning with a banging headache. she slowly sat up in her bed, holding onto her head.
'what the hell happened..?' she thought. she then looked around the room and widened her eyes as she saw jake sitting on the desk chair, fast asleep
"jake..?" the girl spoke up and the boy immediately woke up to it; he was a light sleeper and woke up to everything basically
he turned around, rubbing his eyes then his eyes focused on yuna, "you're finally awake"
yuna slowly nodded, "uh..can i know what happened last night?"
"how much do you remember?" he asked before walking over to her bedside table and grabbing two pills of advil and a bottle of water she already had there
"uh.." she tried to remember, "talking to heeseung and his friends..getting..uh you know" jake nodded, understanding her, "panicking and running away then drinking some bottles of soju i found in the bathroom. after that it's kinda a blur.."
jake handed her the pills and water bottle and she took it. he sat on the edge of her bed while she drank the water and took the pills, "thank you" she said and placed the water bottle on her table before looking back at jake, "so..can you tell me what happened?"
"well..after you drank, niki found you stumbling in the hallway and when he went to help you, he realized you were intoxicated" he began explaining, "he called us and so sunghoon and i went to help then uh you were kinda being rude to me?"
"i was??" yuna spoke in shock, "oh my god i'm so sorry" yuna was embarrassed and can't believe they had to deal with her being like that
"it's okay" he waved it off, laughing awkwardly, "but uh i went to take you home and you kinda uh.."
'please don't tell me i confessed..' yuna bit her lip, praying
"kinda confessed to me?"
yuna's heart dropped as she threw her head back, hitting the backboard of her bed. of course the one thing she didn't want to happen, ending up happening.
jake immediately leaned towards her, placing his hand behind her head and moving her head back, "don't do tha-" he stopped his sentence and coughed, moving back, "sorry.."
"it's okay.." she sighed, "so..i told you i liked you?"
he just nodded, "do you..really like me?"
yuna decided to just let it out now and just get it over with. maybe it would help her get over her feelings, "yes..i like you jake. i've liked you for a very long time" she fiddled with her fingers, not believing that she was telling him. she looked at him and saw the pity in his eyes, "y-yah! don't feel pity for me! i'm getting over it"
"if you liked me then why are you-"
she held up a hand to his face, telling him to stop talking. she took her hand down and sighed, "i don't want my feelings to come in the way between you and soovin. i can see you guys really like each other and i'm genuinely so happy for you guys. you guys are really cute together and you seem so happy around her. so please don't do anything just because i like you"
"what would i do?" he asked, confused
"jake i know you" she chuckled, "you would feel bad for me and stop seeing soovin because of me. don't do that. i just want you and soovin to be together and just happy"
"i can't just-"
"yes you can" she cut him off again, "and you're going to do it because im telling you too"
"you're serious?" he was making sure and she nodded, reassuring him. he just grinned and leaned in, wrapping his arms around her neck, "thank you yuna. thanks for telling me how you feel. i'm sorry i can not return them but i hope we can still stay friends"
yuna wrapped her arms around him, patting his back and resting her chin on his shoulder, "it's okay. of course we can stay friends. did you plan on leaving me or something?"
jake just laughed and shook his head, "never" the two pulled away and smiled at each other
"i hope it works out with soovin"
"i hope so too" jake responded, a grin on his face
"and!" she began again, "don't tell soovin about my feelings and what i just confessed. i know she'll feel guilty, yell at me for not telling her, then not want to continue with you and i don't want that so just..yah don't tell her"
jake chuckled and nodded, "i promise i won't tell her
"good" she let out a breath then widened her eyes, "oh shit" she cursed which made jake widened his eyes since she barely cursed out loud, "what did my parents say?"
"oh..let's just say they're not happy" jake replied and she groaned, "the moment you leave this room, you're screwed'
"great so i just don't leave the room. sounds like a plan to me" she joked and he laughed in response
he phone buzzed and he looked at the message, "i'm hanging out with jay and jungwon today. i'll text you later" she nodded as the boy stood up from his bed and grabbed his jacket off of the chair, "bye yuna"
he ruffled her hair as she waved bye then the boy left her room, closing the door behind him
she held her hand on her racing heart and breathed out, "..i feel so relieved-"
"bae yuna!" she heard someone shut her name and she knew immediately who it was
"crap.."
