Blake POV
4 years later
I was in my office doing some paperwork when my beta's sister walked in which was now the Luna and the mother of my child that she's carrying.
Ever since the events that happen 4 years ago my father had turned what should have just been a little test for my mate into a full blown competition, but I have to say I had enjoyed it more than I wanted to, eventually Cassandra my mate now was the only one that had out done the rest so here we were about to be parents in a couple months.
But even tho all that has happen I still couldn't stop thinking about Lizzy and if she's alive, every time I think about her and the mistake I made a pang of guilt always consumes me, just thinking about her lifeless body makes me want to just kill myself but I can't, the fate of the pack depends on me
"Are you listening to me" I was snapped out of my thoughts by Cassandra (but everyone call her cas ) staring at me with her hands on her hip
"Huh, I'm sorry what did you just say"
"I was saying that we need to start to buying some baby items,"
"But the baby is not due for the next couple of months, there's no need to rush things"
"But won't it be fun, besides we haven't really spend quality time together in a while "
"I'm sorry Cas , its just that I've been busy and you know that"
"Yes I do know that but that doesn't mean you shouldn't have time for your wife"
"I'm sorry, but maybe some other time, tomorrow the hunters are to show up to help us out with our current situation and with you pregnant i don't want our child to be born in an environment where we have to always watch our back with these rouge's"

"I understand but still it's not healthy to always be working like this "
"Then who else is there to do it if I don't, do you want everyone to think that I'm a lazy alpha"
" no I'm not saying that but "
"But nothing, so please if there isn't anything else can you please leave so that I can continue, I'll see u in a bit after I'm done
" ok then" with that she exited the room leaving me to return to my work that had been interrupted
Every since she came into my life I felt slightly better than being totally depressed about my lost mate, but still if I could have just kept my head focused, non of these attack's would've been happening to the pack and I definitely won't have had to contacted the council, and to think I'd have to work with hunters, I have pride but when its comes to the safety of my pack that pride just flew through the window
After my work was finished I headed to my room took a shower and went off to bed , feeling extremely exhausted from the day

The next day the pack was preparing for a bonfire to welcome our guest here today, I had also pitched in a bit but I was more focused on getting more of my paper work done before the hunters arrived .
Later that day I was informed by my beta that they had arrived, so I rap up my work and headed out side to greet our guest, when I was out I saw a girl come out of the car so I went up to greet her
"Hello you must be the assassin hunters that the council said there sending, my name is alpha Blake"
"Hello alpha Blake my name is Chelsey and I'm not the....."

Before she was able to finish, I heard a gun being fired and not a second later I turned around to see a rogue that fell on the ground with a loud tug seconds away from ripping off my head, how did they got through so easily was no one watching the border I mind linked some of my men as I looked around seeing people starting to panic as wolves started to emerge one after the other
As if on cue with the attack, someone took down some of the rouge's moving at unimaginable speed almost like he was teleporting, while on the other hand there was someone else in the forest hidden away by the trees so that no one saw them, firing shots to any rouge's head that were in sight
When it all came to an end a man appeared right next to the girl that called herself Chelsey
"You can come out now I think we got rid of all of them " he said to the person that I assumed is still hiding within the tree's
"had to double check you know" came a voice that sounded a bit familiar but somehow it don't, it felt very hard pinpointing it but anyways as they went back and forth among themselves I took the time to observe her, but she had her face masked up and her hood covering her head that couldn't really get a good look at her other than the colorof her eyes, something about her though, has me feeling a bit relieved but a bit off
"Yes I know, but dont worry I took care of most of them" the man fired back
Ehmm", we heard a throat being cleared "can you guys stop bickering among yourselves" , Chelsey said to them like she was scolding toddlers
"Like I was saying alpha Blake I'm not the assassin hunters they are," she then turned back to me and said , I then turned to the man beside them and introduced myself, then was about to do the same with the woman but Cassandra had called out to me before catching up and interlocked her hand with mines.
"Oh I'm sorry this is my mate and Luna Cassandra "
For some reason I thought I saw something flash through the female hunter assassin eyes but it was gone before I knew it, something about her though I just couldn't shake and my wolf was feeling the same way. I was so caught up in my thoughts that I didn't even hear cas and chris speaking to one another .
With what just happened though I told every to go back to the bonfire then told some men to take care of the bodies, before heading to my office.
After we had finished the meeting I went down back to check how thinks are going with the bonfire then sent someone to go invite Eli to join us but I was linked and told that she denied and wanted to be left alone I wonder what she look like under that mask of hers, maybe soon I'll find out I thought to myself.
