The doppelgangers pushed the doors open and slammed straight into a rock hard chest, well Elena did, Ariana had felt the persons presence and backed away just in time as to not hit them.
"There's my girl" a British accent rang through Ariana's ears and it made her knees weak, of course she'd heard British accents before, in fact many British students attended Juilliard but something about his made her weak.
"Katherine?" The voice asked again in shock this time, grabbing Ariana's arm tightly in an iron grip.
"Lena?" Ariana whispered, for once being blind was saddening her, she wished she could see what was happening but she could not, all she could do was walk and hear the mans low voice mumble words to her sister.
"Klaus, let Ariana go! She hasn't done anything!" Elena yelled and Klaus looked down at the other girl he gripped, she was clearly a Petrova doppelganger but something about her eyes seemed different though he could not place it.
"No, she seems to mean something to you, she may just be the motivation you need!" He grinned as he entered the gym "attention seniors, you have officially been busted, head on home" he put on a phony American accent as he entered the gymnasium and the teenagers inside groaned but departed.
"I remember you two" Klaus said to two teens who were about to exit the gym, they both looked at him oddly "don't worry, I wasn't in my right head the last time we met, lift your right foot Dana" he compelled at the end. "Chad, if she drops her foot I want you to beat her to death"
"Stop! You don't have to hurt anybody!" Elena yelled at the hybrid but he merely smirked in response.
"Of course I do"

"Elena?" Ariana whispered again, she just wanted to know what was happening.
"Now Elena, while we wait, I want you to tell me everything about this one" he gestured to Aria who was now sat on the bleachers, her hands rubbing her eyes, her blindness often resulted in her eyes being weak and paining her.
"Her names Ariana" Elena announced, knowing he'd find out everything eventually.
"Hello love" Klaus spoke to the girl on the bleachers, holding his hand out for a shake.
"Hello" she responded though she did not look at him nor did she shake his outstretched hand which angered him.
"Now that's rude love" he growled and she jumped, slightly startled, glancing in his general direction with wide eyes.
"What's rude?" She let out softly and Klaus noticed her voice was sweeter than the other doppelgangers, more harmonious.
"You rejected my handshake" he stated, his voice indicating that it was obvious, he was beginning to wonder for her mental health.
"She's blind Klaus" Elena stated obviously as she sat beside her sister, taking her hand and playing with her charm bracelet. On the bracelet there was a charm of every musical instrument Ariana could play as well as letters. There was a letter for every member of their family. (G, M, J, J, E, J)
Really?" Klaus asked, waving his hand in front of Ariana's face, making Elena roll her eyes.
"Now that was rude" Ariana stated and Klaus stepped back, slightly confused and embarrassed that she knew what he did.
"How-?"
"I felt the wind" she announced and he bit his lip slightly before looking over at Dana and chuckling upon seeing the cheerleaders struggle.
Ariana blocked out the rest of the conversation around her, finding it unimportant to listen as she wouldn't understand it anyway, though when she heard Stefan's voice, her head tilted to the right.

"Stef?" She whispered out and felt a kiss upon her forehead, making her grin brightly before he disappeared. She was vaguely aware of conflict breaking out but she ignored it until she heard Elena scream.
"Lena!" She stumbled forward, her hand in front of her but someone caught her waist and she didn't know who it was, making her struggle, when she didn't get released she began to sob.
"Shh love"
"Klaus?" She whispered, and she felt him hold her tighter in acknowledgement.
"What's happening?" She whispered and she heard a new British accent, making her head tilt again.
"It's okay love, don't worry about it" he mumbles and she feels his hands remove from her waist, making her fall onto the floor as she'd been leaning against him.
Niklaus looked down at the blind girl and saw her fiddling with a charm bracelet that adorned her wrist. As he glanced at her, he couldn't deny how adorable she was, her expressions and dimples sealed the deal.
"Lena?" She kept whispering out, despite the person in question being unable to hear her soft voice. Niklaus kept his eyes on her for a short while before deciding to intervene in the conversation between his sister and doppelganger....

Rise of the Firstborn
[A participant in the Royal Road Writathon Challenge]As the inhibitor rises and the eternal flame is quenched, our lands shall be freed, and only then will the Princess be set to flee. It began with ice. A relentless, bone-chilling tickle of frost that stretched across the lands of Axulran, crawling over the mountain crests and freezing the grassy meadows. Frozen in time, the kingdom fought for political control all across the region of Ellixus, paying no mind to the death and torment they may cause along the way. Cateline Bennett, a princess consumed with ice, found herself lost in a foreign kingdom with nothing but her wits to survive. As she explores this unknown land, she unravels her past and discovers that the magic she had concealed for so long could unleash chaos so intense, it could destroy the world as she knew it. With her untapped magic and new friends, Cateline must vanquish the enemies that threatened the world of Denzethea as they knew it, else they, and all they knew, would crumble to ruin. NOTE: A review on this fiction has indicated that certain themes were traumatizing. While I believe this to be exagerated, I have added the appropriate tag for those who may be sensitive to those themes (fever dreams, delusions, and trials and tribulations).

The unseen rulers of the world known as Vesperia, and one of the most powerful creatures in existence. The woman knows none of this. And so, she picks up the card... This is my third novel on Royal Road, the first being "Beyond the Horizon's Eye", and the second being "The Dawnfire Archives". This story is something of a test in a new genre, that of CardLIT. We'll see how well it succeeds as the story continues. It takes place in a different setting than my other tales, with an entirely new cast of characters. It does, however, contain several ties between the stories. Average post between 1000 - 3000 words.
