Ariana had little to no recognition of what events occurred during the next few minutes but she soon felt arms wrapped around her and somehow, she ended up sitting on something soft that was unidentifiable to her. She could hear nothing and it scared her because that was the sense she relied upon.
"Hello?" She sobbed out after a few minutes of silence, only hearing her own cries and breathes. "Is anyone there?" She could hear someone's footsteps enter the room but whoever it was said nothing.
"Hello?" She asked again, knowing full well that someone was in the room, she tried to reach for them but her hands were tied, making her struggle and cry. "Please, I know someone's there" she cried and soon felt the ropes loosen around her wrists.
"I'm here" she heard the voice of Niklaus Mikaelson and she couldn't help but feel slightly glad that he was there, despite how scared she was of him.
"N-nik?" She asked softly, she had decided to call him this as she detested the name Klaus, that was the name they called the monster they thought he was, but no one is a monster, we were all born human.
"Ariana" he returned and she sobbed out, hugging him tightly in fear that he'd disappear and she'd be left all alone again.
"It's okay love, I've got you" he assured her and held her back, it was around this moment that he realized how small she was in comparison to every other doppelganger, her skin was paler and softer also. "You're not like the others are you?" He whispers as he glances into her warm distant eyes.
"Everyone is different Nik. It would be boring if we were all the same."
"Why are you not scared of me?"

"You've given me no reason to be, you haven't done anything to hurt me."
"But I could"
"I know that"
"Scared yet?"
"No" she smiled in his general direction and twisted the silver charm bracelet which adorned her wrist, he glanced down at it, needless to say, it was rather distracting. "Where are we?"
"We are in the hospital"
"Why? Is someone hurt?!" She sat forward slightly and Niklaus adjusted his position so she wouldn't accidentally sit on him.
"No, no ones hurt"
"What happened?"
"I turned Tyler into a hybrid with Elena's blood."
"Ty is a hybrid?"
"Yes" Klaus sighed, whatever redeemable feature she found in him before was surely gone now that she knew what he did and that fact, slightly saddened him....scrap that, it upset him.
"Is he sad now?" She queried, her head tilting slightly, she didn't know where Klaus was so she put her hand out in front of her, finding it was soon placed against his chest.
"I don't know." Klaus laughed slightly when she touched his chest "no need to feel me up love" he chuckled with a smirk that she could not see. He did however witness her blush.
"I can't see, remember? I didn't know whether you were still there or not" she explained and he took her hand gently in his, proceeding to fiddle with her charm bracelet.
"I'm still here, why would I leave and not say anything?"
"It wouldn't be the first time" she explained and her face fell considerably, he sighed and stood up, having a feeling that they'd soon have company.
"Where are you going? Why does every one leave?" She asked as she stood, she could tell that he was leaving the room so she put her hand against the wall and followed "Nik!" He turned around instantly and saw her struggling to follow.

"Sorry love, I forgot"
"No, it's fine, um...happens a lot" he put his arm around her waist and began walking from the room once more.
"I'm glad I got the chance to meet you"
"Hmm, why is that?" He queried as he half carried her across the parking lot.
"Because now I know that you aren't a monster."
"Oh I am, love" he chuckles but he was inwardly screaming with joy that someone finally saw him in a way which was not despicable.
"Nobody is truly evil."
"Then what am I?"
"You're misunderstood" she replied, slightly aware that they'd came to a standstill.
"I'm an abomination" he expressed and even he was sad about the words.
"You are not, you are unique Nik, there's nothing wrong with that" he stayed silent after she said this so she continued. "Besides, if you are an abomination, so am I"
He smiled at her words, it was the first time in a long time that someone was on his side, that someone was fighting for him.
"Let's be abominations together" he smiled and she unknowingly returned it, her teeth glinting in the moonlight. He stared in a daze at her beautiful smile, she was truly the definition of beauty in his eyes.
"Ariana!" He watched as her head tilted slightly in recognition of a new voice, she grabbed Niks hand in hers so she wouldn't fall over and he gladly held hers, watching as the older Salvatore approached. "Ari!"
"Damon?"
"Yeah" another dazzling smile overtook her features and she waddled in his general direction, quickly finding herself in his arms, her small stature enabled her to cling to him like vines and he was oblivious to her weight.
"Are you okay?" He rushed out, his hand clutching her chin gently and his eyes scrutinizing her features.
"I'm okay! Niklaus looked after me" she informed and Damon frowned in shock, glancing over at the hybrid before looking back to his new best friend in his arms.
Damon and Ariana had became fast friends, she quickly filled the position of the sister he never had, the same relationship formed between her and Stefan but he unfortunately had to leave with Niklaus and Ariana stayed with Damon.
"Um..Klaus? Um--thank you...for looking after her" he stuttered out, his pride squashing but he knew he had to thank him, someone had to and Ariana would still be stuck alone at school unless the hybrid helped her.
"That's alright mate, this little love is surprisingly good company" he smirks and Ariana giggles, reaching her arms in his general direction, Klaus hesitantly hugged her, relaxing into her touch but still wary as she sat in Damon's arms still. Eventually he pulled away with slight reluctance and she rested her head back on Damon's shoulder, dozing off quickly.
"She can be a bit of a handful sometimes, you know with being blind..." Damon trailed off, his focus once more returning to the location of Elena.
"She's actually adorable"
"Don't tell her that, she's got an aversion to compliments" Damon chuckled before sighing and glancing at him "well, where's Elena?"
"Making a donation to the greater good" he smirked and Damon grumbled. For some random reason, Ariana's presence had made both men act redeemable for a fraction of a second but when she fell unconscious , the illusion shattered.
"Right, friendliness over!" Damon growled and placed Ariana gently into the truck beside him, aware of Klaus's gaze following his actions...

Delve
Summary – Level 1: Delve is an isekai litrpg that follows an average guy who just happened to wake up in a forest one day. He wasn’t summoned to defeat the demon lord or to save the world or anything like that, at least as far as he can tell. The only creature there to greet him was a regular old squirrel. Soon enough, he meets other people, only to discover that he can’t speak the language, and that not everybody immediately trusts random pajama-wearing strangers they met in the middle of the wilderness. Things generally go downhill from there, at least until the blue boxes start appearing. Delve is a story about finding your way in a new, strange, and dangerous world. It’s about avoiding death, figuring out what the heck is going on, and trying to make some friends along the way. It’s not about getting home, so much as finding a new one. Did I mention that there will be math? Summary – Level 2: Okay, but what are you in for, really? Well, this story is supposed to be realistic, or at least, as realistic as a fantasy litrpg can be. The main character doesn’t instantly become an all-powerful god and murder-hobo his way across the universe. Delve is, at its heart, a progression fantasy, but that progression is meant to feel earned. The numbers in this story actually mean something. Everything is calculated, and if you find a rounding error, I expect you to tell me about it. That said, if math isn’t your cup of tea, there is plenty more that the story has to offer. Characters are meant to feel real, and progression isn’t only about personal power; it’s also about allies, connections, and above all, knowledge. Figuring out how the system works is a significant theme. ... What, you want more details? Okay, fine, but this is going to get a bit spoiler-y. Are you sure? Yes! Really sure? I mean, this summary is practically half as long as the first chap– Now! Okay, okay! The main character becomes a magic user, but he takes a route that is not very popular in adventurer culture, namely that of a support. There is a full magic system with various spells, skills, and abilities, but our MC decides that aura magic is the way to go, and that the only stat worth investing in is mana regeneration. Most people at the Adventurer’s Guild think that this makes him a bit of a dumbass, but he’s playing the long game. We’ll see how that works out for him, won’t we? Because of his build, the MC levels up fast, at least compared to normal people. There are no cheats, though, and he is limited in other ways. There are some clear and pretty obvious downsides to his build. That’s what makes it fun, no? Morals? Our MC has them. Again, we’ll see how that works out for him. Realism, remember? Would you be okay with killing someone and looting their body? I sure hope not. POV? The focus is on the main character, but there will be occasional varying perspectives from people around him, or involved in the events related to the main plot. It isn’t going to jump all over the place. Tech is standard medieval stasis. No smartphones, but the MC does have a technical background. Computers and their programming might be involved. There might even be a bit of uplifting down the road, who knows? Anyway, it isn’t the focus. He isn’t going to invent the gun in chapter 1 and change the face of warfare. Romance is not a major focus. Friendships are more the name of the game, though there will be some characters in romantic relationships. There is exploration, though not as much of the geographical nature as you might expect. It is more about exploration of the system and the culture. The pace is slow and detailed, sometimes verging on slice-of-life. The action is meant to be realistic and grounded in the numbers, and it is intended to have meaning beyond simply punching things until they stop moving. The general tone of the story is grey, and some parts can get quite dark. People die. Sometimes, people with names, but not anywhere near GoT level. There is plenty of light, too, though, to balance the darkness. The world is dangerous, but overcoming that danger is why we’re all here, isn’t it? Anyway, if you’ve made it this far through the summary, you clearly like words. I hope you enjoy the story! Cover by Miha Brumec Summary Updated: 2020-06-14

The Mentor
This one is for my daughter. She talked me into it (again) and it is her favorite genre of books. So, Bet, this one is for you. The true-bloods, the masters, they came first. That was hammered into Heath's head since he could walk with both words and fists by Karen. As a guardian and half-blood bastard of his vampire father, he would never know peace. His duty as a dhampir, his duty was clear, his fate sealed. Heath was to serve Gerald, an aging Vampire Lord, one who was of pure blood, born to the race, until Heath outlived his prime and then he would pass on the knowledge that was passed to him onto a new bastard to carry protecting the bloodline. But was it necessarily his fate? Could a sterile half breed such as himself, someone who did not exist in the human world, live anywhere in the world on the light? After a particularly nasty encounter with his Mentor, Heath is on the run. Set on not becoming the new guardian and knowing that decision has now marked him for death. The hunt is on and somewhere behind him is Joshua, the heir of his Master, and the thing that plagues his nightmare, his Mentor Karen.
