I hopped in Marcus' car and shut the door. Marcus was still outside his car, chatting to some cheerleaders. I rolled my eyes and sighed. I saw him laugh with them and turn towards his car, he opened the car door and got in his car.

I playfully glared at him. Marcus chuckled,"I'm so sorry, baby cheeks."

I furrowed my eyebrows,"Why do you call me baby cheeks? It's weird."

He shrugged in response and started the car,"Trust me, you want me to be calling you baby cheeks."

"Ew no," I said simply. I felt the car move. "So where are we going?"

"A café," he replied after looking out the window. He mumbled something then focused on the road. I cleared my throat since it was very quiet in the car, I started humming a song looking at the window.

"So baby cheeks, what made you say that you were dating me?" Marcus asked as he glanced at me and back at the road.

"You were... kind of treating me like your girlfriend. Kind of. So why not lie? Besides, something good came out of it," I replied.

"So buying you chocolates and Oreos means that I like you?" he chuckled, shaking his head.

"Not like that, but you didn't buy Bree gifts for Valentine's Day, and Bree was your girlfriend." I quirked my eyebrow at him.

"Was, I broke up with her the day before Valentine's Day, she was..."

"Obsessed with you?" I completed the sentence for him.

Marcus chuckled,"Yeah, maybe."

"I wonder when you're going to break up with me since your relationships only survive for a few days," I scoffed.

Marcus stayed quiet then after a while, he replied,"We can break up anytime you want too, I'm doing this to help you and pretending to be your boyfriend helps then..." he shrugged.

"Oh, thank you." I smiled.

Marcus winked,"Anytime baby cheeks."

We arrived to the café Marcus drove us to. Marcus got out of the car and walked around it, then opened the car door for me. I felt my face heat up as I looked at Marcus' smile. He shut the door and we walked inside the café. Marcus held my hand tightly as we stood in front of the counter. The barista looked at us, he chuckled and looked at Marcus.

"Who's the pretty one?" he asked Marcus though he was looking at me.

"My girlfriend," Marcus said and I felt my cheeks heat up.

The barista nodded,"She's cute."

"I came here to get coffee, not listen to you flirt with my girl," Marcus said, he turned to me. "Go take a seat, I'll be there in a sec."

I gave him a small smile before sitting at the table next to the big window. My phone vibrated and I took it out from my hoodie and unlocked it.

I wasn't sure if I was going to make it in time since Marcus and I decided to tell eachother about ourselves since we're 'dating'.

After Trick had kissed me, he was upset that I pulled away and thought he did something wrong. We didn't talk the whole car ride home but I decided that him and I can go to the movies alone, from when he asked me last time.

Marcus sat down across me and also took out his phone. He didn't glance at my direction as I stared at him.

Holy cow, he's hot.

Yes, I just said that.

Even when texting, he looked devilishly handsome. His dark tousled hair, his jawline and his muscular body that I could see from his navy coloured hoodie. His hoodie was not transparent, sadly.

He chuckled, probably from a text that he read, his smile made my stomach feel weird. He looked at me and smiled. My eyes widened when I realised I had been staring for long. "You wanna say something, baby cheeks?" he asked.

I slowly shook my head in response. Marcus nodded and went back to his phone. He and I decided to meet afterschool and learn about eachother, like the basics because we knew nothing about eachother. The only thing I knew about Marcus was that he loved Oreos. He always had two packets at least for a day. He was addicted to them. He was an... Oreo addict.

That was lame.

Soon, the barista came with a tray of two coffee cups which also had two chocolate cupcakes. He placed on the table and nodded at us before leaving.

"If you want anything else, just order," Marcus said taking his coffee from the tray and his cupcake. I took mine and thanked him.

I glanced at the time on my phone.

Time was running fast.

"So... girlfriend." Marcus looked at me after taking a small bite of his cupcake. A little bit of icing was on the side of his lips, it was little, but it somehow bothered me.

"You got a little..." I gestured where it was by pointing at the side of my lips.

"Oh." Marcus licked the icing off his lips though not making eye contact with me. He was staring at my lips.

"So, just tell me a little about yourself so we don't seem like fools when people realise we know shit about eachother."

I nodded and leaned back on his seat. "Um... you obviously know my name." I chuckled.

"Is it Bridget?"

"Very funny, but no."

"Alyssa Heart... Marcus," he said then broke into a grin. I rolled my eyes.

"So, I like... studying. I mostly study and do homework since I don't have any friends." I shrugged.

"You do now," he said. I took sip of my coffee and ate my cupcake.

"Oh," I looked away then back at Marcus,"Yeah, I still like studying."

He smiled and shook his head. "What else? Like your favourites?"

"Um... my favourite colour is blue. Favourite food. I don't know... pizza probably." I groaned then sighed. "Marcus, I'm so sorry. I can't do this."

"This dating thing?" Marcus almost looked shocked.

"No, I don't know what my favourite food is," I whined and Marcus laughed. I checked my phone again.

"Who you texting there?" Marcus asked, making me look up to him.

"Huh?" I pretended that I didn't hear him the first time. Marcus didn't say anything, he just looked at me as if he knew that I heard his question.

"I'm texting a friend," I answered.

"A friend? Oh, is it Aaliyah?" Marcus asked and looked back at his phone. I didn't answer and that made him look up from his phone to meet eyes with me.

"No," I gulped nervously. Why was I getting nevrous?

"Then who is it?" he asked.

I sighed, gathering my confidence to look him in the eye again. I met eyes with him,"Why do you wanna know?"

Wrong question.

Marcus chuckled," 'Cause you're my girlfriend, I must know who you're texting since that person made you smile."

I was smiling? Dang it.

I sighed in defeat,"Fine, it's Trick."

Marcus paused. "What?"

"It's Trick, the guy I'm texting is Trick," I said calmly, though on the inside, my heart was pounding.

Marcus clenched his jaw, his eyes flashed in hatred. "Give me your phone," he ordered.

"What?"

"You heard me, Alyssa," he said sternly, his hand out to take my phone.

"No." I shook my head. "What are you going to do with it?"

"Text that asshole to leave you alone."

"Asshole?" I furrowed my eyebrows. "I thought you said you guys were friends."

"We were," he said, emphasising the word 'were'. "Now give me your phone."

"No," I answered back.

Oh my gosh... I said 'no' to Marcus.

I felt a bit proud. So far, I had never seen anyone say no to him. "Fine, tell him that you're busy right now and he can contact you never," Marcus said.

"You know what, I'm sorry but I have somewhere to be." I stood up and smiled at him. "Good day."

I walked and as I passed Marcus, I felt something swiftly being taken out of my jean pocket and a hand held my wrist making me pause.

Marcus had taken my phone. He read the texts with Trick. Marcus slowly turned his head my way and I saw the anger in his eyes,"You're going to the movies with him?" he said through his clenched teeth.

I grabbed my phone from Marcus' hand and stuffed back in my back pocket. "You're forgetting who's your boyfriend, Alyssa." he stood up and towered me.

That time, he had called me by my name instead of that weird nickname he gave me.

Baby cheeks.

And I was glad.

"Marcus, we're not really dating. And I'm just hanging out with Trick, we're not on a date or something." I defended.

"So you're really about to leave me here, your 'boyfriend', where we could be learning about eachother to watch some movie with an asshole?"

We had gained everyone's attention in the café. They weren't staring at us amused though, they looked at us like they didn't want us to fight. They almost looked concerned.

"Can you stop calling him that?"

"Why?" Marcus asked and stood close to me,"I don't trust that kid, trust me baby cheeks, Trick is the person you should not be hanging out with." he said softly.

I sighed,"He's fine, Marcus."

"No, as your boyfriend, I want you to stop hanging out with him. You two act like you are dating."

"Are you jealous?" I blurted out.

Marcus chuckled,"No I'm happy that my girlfriend is out with another guy." he answered sarcastically,"Don't forget Alyssa," his face went near my shoulder and he whispered," You are the one who started all this." He backed away.

"He acts like a better boyfriend than me towards you since you're always together. You should've asked him to act as your boyfriend." Marcus sneered at me, "Let's go." he walked past me, exiting the café.

"Marcus--" I whispered. He shook his head, not looking back. He got in his car and waited, looking at me. I almost wanted to smile but I didn't, I walked out the café and got in his car.

It was silent in the car, too silent.

"S- so where are we going?" I stammered and glanced at him.

"I'll drop you off at the mall where he is," he told me, and started the car. He drove. It seemed like forever but finally we arrived at the mall, Marcus slowed the car to a stop.

"Thanks," I murmured and leaned over to his side to kiss his cheek. I saw a hint of smile, before I could react, Marcus turned his head to me so that caused me to accidentally to kiss his lips instead of his cheek. My response was almost immediate when tugging him closer. I slightly shuddered when Marcus placed his hand on waist as I cupped his cheeks. I parted my lips, getting his warm breath to mix with mine. His breath was a bit minty with a hint of chocolate from the cupcake he had just eaten back.

I gasped as Marcus' tongue slowly entered my mouth. I felt tiny tingles throughtout my body, I was nevrous though Marcus made me forget about that. His tongue explored every part of my mouth and I let him, only letting out moans. Marcus leaned forward, deepening the kiss as I leaned back. My head felt the window stop me from leaning back, reminding me that we were still in the car. With each kiss, I felt warm all over and pulling him closer for more. He placed a last kiss on my cheek before pulling away and dark eyes met mine.

"Don't forget who your boyfriend is." he smirked.
