《The Nerd who cried Bad Boy》eight

Holy shit!
Oh my gosh.
Alyssa is actually kissing Marcus Sawyer.
I couldn't believe it myself. I, Alyssa Heart -- the girl who was hated by everyone in this school -- was kissing Marcus Sawyer.
Former gangleader/member, player, and the most popular person in this school, both feared and loved by everyone.
Marcus let out a sigh when our lips parted and placed them back on mine again.
"Oh my god, are you fucking kidding me," Bree said lazily and I pulled away from Marcus. Feeling my whole body heat up from what had just happened. Marcus smirked and licked his lips, we both turned to Bree and shrugged.
"What do you want Bree?" Marcus asked lazily.
"You two... just kissed. You kissed Alyssa Heart?" Bree said in astonishment. "I thought... I thought--"
"That's right. You tho't!" Aaliyah snapped from beside her and Bree narrowed her eyes at her.
Marcus chuckled and placed his arm on my shoulder. "She is my girlfriend, and we have been together for quite sometime now." Marcus smiled and kissed the top of my head. I heard a few 'aw's' from the audience.
"Now, I want you all to listen to me," Marcus said and took a few steps forward, as soon as he said that, Sam and Kendall appeared beside him.
"Alyssa Heart has been the girl you guys have bullied a lot over the years. I don't know how or why I haven't noticed this but that's probably because I only transferred to this school this year. Everyday, she suffered from your punches, insults and laughs. And now, that's all gonna change. I really appreciate you all treating her fairly when I was gone but what I don't like is that you only treated her kindly since you found out I was dating her. That's fucking bull. This girl had bruises because of you and if I find out who gave her the bruises, so help me I'll do something I'll regret. Now, I want each and every one of you to apologise to her, try anything funny, Sam and Kendall will deal with you," Marcus said and stood next to me. "I'll be back, baby cheeks." Marcus whispered but some students heard us. He kissed my cheek and turned around and walked away.
With almost tearful eyes, I stared at Marcus walking away. Grateful of accidentally bumping into him. I smiled and turned back to the crowd. Sam and Kendall stood behind me, watching everyone.
People who cheered when I got beat up apologised to me, one by one and I nodded, forgiving them. I didn't even recognise the others so I just let them pass. My heart stopped once I saw Amanda.
Amanda was one of the strongest people in our school, she was a boxer though she didn't look strong in physical appearance. She looked normal though she punched like a professional wrestler. She stood in front of me, staring everywhere but my eyes. She sighed and she finally decided to look me in the eye.
"I'm sorry, Alyssa. I'm sorry for hurting you, emotionally and physically. I'm sorry for the way I treated you, taking my anger out on you sometimes just to please others. For you, everyday to survive the bullying was really brave of you. I'm really sorry and I promise I'll change. I hope we can both forget the past and move on by maybe being friends." Amanda smiled and I gave her a small smile in return.

Although she apologised, I was still haunted by the events when she would beat me. She left.
Bree was the last one, she eyed me before saying,"I'm not doing this." With a flick of her hair, she strutted away with Veronica who had apologised to me as well.
Sam patted my shoulder,"You're okay, nerd?" he asked.
I nodded in response,"Yeah, I'm fine."
Sam and Kendall smiled at me and accompanied me to our class. We had Mrs. Benjamin for the first period, the teacher who hated me. I don't know why but she hated me.
I sat at my usual seat with Sam and Kendall next to me. They never sat next to me in any of Mrs. Benjamin's classes. Everyone was chatting to eachother until they heard the clicking of heels. Mrs. Benjamin stood at the door and entered the class. She glared at the first person she landed her eyes on. And that person was me.
"Hood. Off. Now," Mrs Benjamin commanded rudely once again. I nodded and pulled down the hood of my hoodie.
Kendall covered my head with the hood and looked at Mrs. Benjamin who stared in shock. "Uh, Mrs. Benjamin, I think there's a nicer way to ask." Sam sneered at her.
Mrs. Benjamin's mouth moved but no words came out.
"You ask her nicely and she'll take her hood off." Kendall patted my head like a dog.
"If you don't then..." Sam said then shrugged at the end. "And we'll appreciate it if you don't pick on her. If you do, the principal will know about all the things you've done to Alyssa and the other kids. Trust me, you don't want that."
Mrs. Benjamin nodded and walked to her desk. She took out her laptop and typed something, she kept on glancing at me while she taught us.
I sat at the table where Aaliyah was with Percy, Angelo and Trick. "Hey guys," I greeted as I sat next to Percy.
"Alyssa hey." Angelo smiled at me.
"Hey Lyssa." Aaliyah blew a kiss at me.
Percy nodded at me while Trick said nothing.
"Trick?" I lightly kicked him under the table and he looked at me.
"Oh, Alyssa. Hey. I'm sorry, I was just... out of it for a second there," he said then smiled.
"You guys wanna go to the park with me after school? We can hang there and have a picnic," Aaliyah said and everyone nodded agreeing.
I felt someone kiss my cheek then ruffle my hair. I turned around and saw Marcus, he was smiling at me causing me to smile back. I turned to everyone and quickly read their expressions. Aaliyah looked a bit excited while Angelo and Percy dared not to look at him.
Trick though, I saw anger in his eyes. I wasn't sure. He clenched his jaw as he stared at Marcus straight in the eye. Marcus saw this and glared back, he chuckled. "What's got you all sour, Tricker?" he joked.
"Don't..." Trick clenched his jaw "call me that Mark."
Marcus frowned,"Aw why bro, I thought we were friends."
Trick glanced at me then back at Marcus,"Whatever." He stood up and walked out the cafeteria. Marcus chuckled,"What's his problem?"
"Marcus, look at what you did." I glared at him.
"I didn't do anything, I was just playing with the guy." Marcus smiled and sat next to me.

"Is his actual name Tricker?" Aaliyah snickered. Marcus chuckled and shook his head.
"No, he is a tricker though," Marcus said and looked at me. I smiled and looked away, avoiding the awkwardness. The scene of Marcus and I kissing flashed in my head and I blushed.
"So..." Marcus turned to Aaliyah. "Who's this beauty?" he winked at Aaliyah. Aaliyah glanced at me to see my reaction, I just shrugged.
"I'm A- Aaliyah."
Marcus smiled and nodded then looked at the boys. "Marcus," he greeted them. Angelo happily smiled back, shaking Marcus' hand. Percy nodded. Some of the boys got a bit jealous that Marcus was befriending a couple of random guys.
Like I said, you were lucky to be friends with Marcus Sawyer.
Marcus sat with us the whole break and accompanied me to my next class. We stood in front of my class and Marcus kissed my forehead. "If anything goes wrong when I'm not there for you, just remember Sam and Kendall are there."
I nodded,"Thank you, Marcus. I really don't know how to repay you."
Marcus shrugged,"Don't worry about it. I'll see you, okay?"
I smiled and planted a kiss on his cheek this time. Marcus and I met eyes again, we were both smiling. And for some reason, my stomach exploded with butterflies when I saw his smile.
Later that day, Aaliyah, Percy, Angelo, Trick and I went to the park as we planned. I had brought some snacks while Aaliyah brought the drinks which included sodas and sparkling water for me. The boys brought whatever. It was almost four o' clock in the afternoon.
Aaliyah laid out a blanket which looked like it could fit the five of us. We sat down and I opened the basket I put the snacks in. I had brought some candy and fruits.
We saw the boys approaching us. Trick was carrying one basket while Percy carried the other. They greeted us and sat down with us.
"Sorry if we took too long," Percy murmured and gave Angelo a glare.
"I'm sorry okay? I didn't mean to spill on your favourite shirt--" Angelo raised his hands up in defence.
"Just forget about it," Percy interrupted him, putting his hand near his face. Trick had sat down beside me, Aaliyah sat next to Trick then Percy then Angelo, us sitting in a circle. We took out the food and drinks.
"Oh, Trick, I wanted to ask you something," I said turning my head then back at the food we were organising.
"Yeah?" he replied.
"Why were you acting so strange towards Marcus?"
He cleared his throat and I saw Percy and Angelo look at Trick. "Um... before he left, him and I had a little fight," Trick answered, not looking at me. He said little like it wasn't little at all.
An "oh" came as a reply from me. Trick nodded.
"Well, you guys should forget the past and make up because with me, you two will be hanging out a lot," I said and chuckled. Trick said nothing.
Time passed and we ate and had a great time telling eachother funny stories and scary ones when it started to get a bit dark. More and more people left the park until it was us and a few people.
"Guys, it's late. I think I should go." Angelo stood up as well as Percy.
"Yeah me too." Percy stretched. "We'll see you guys tomorrow."
"Wait, who's gonna clean up?" Aaliyah asked.
"Alyssa and I can, you guys can go," Trick suggested, he stood up and fistpumped Percy and Angelo then he hugged Aaliyah who blushed. I hugged Angelo and he left to go in the car.
When I hugged Percy, he pulled me in tighter. "Watch yourself, Alyssa," he whispered then looked at me. I didn't know what he meant though I nodded. Percy let go of me, sending Trick a look before walking away.
"I also better get going since they're my ride home, earlier I mean." Aaliyah left us and got in the passenger seat of the car and it drove off.
Trick sighed and looked at me.
"What?" I asked, smiling.
"Alyssa, I'm sorry for acting strange today."
"You better be, I don't like seeing you all moody." I took the last pizza slice and ate it, uncomfortably, Trick was staring at me again.
I looked at him,"Trick, you're creeping me out," I joked.
Well, kind of.
"Sorry, you just messed sauce under your lip there." Trick smiled.
"Oh, nah it's fine. Just leave it there for comedic effect." I said and tried to lick it off but I couldn't taste anything.
Trick chuckled,"It's fine I'll wipe it off."
I shrugged. Trick used his thumb to lightly brush my bottom lip and slightly part it away from my top lip. I gulped nevrously and Trick moved closer. A blush crept up my face and averted my eyes from Trick. His hand slowly held my neck pulling me closer. He shut his eyes once we were an inch apart.
A huge part of me wanted to back away and leave Trick but there was a part that wanted to stay and let him kiss me.
It wasn't gentle like Marcus', that's for sure. Trick kissed me a bit more aggressively, tugging me hard.
Was there even sauce under my lip? Ha! I ain't no messy child.
Trick started to hover me, making me lean back a bit and I held Trick's neck for support. Seconds later, I pulled away. For three reasons:
One. I was officially fake taken by Marcus.
Two. Aaliyah liked him.
Three. Trick let his hands trail under my hoodie and meet my bare skin.
"I'm sorry, I'm sorry I don't know what got into me," Trick apologised and ran his fingers through his hair.
"It's fine." I started packing up and putting the things in the basket.
"I'm sorry, Alyssa."
"Trick, don't worry about it," I assured standing up with the basket. "I know, it was a mistake I get it."
Trick paused and looked at me,"It wasn't. I wanted to kiss you, but you backed away. Do I have bad breath?"
"No." I chuckled. "I told you many times that I'm dating Marcus."
I saw his eye twitch at the mention of Marcus' name.
"Can you drive me home?" I asked.
Trick nodded,"Sure." he picked up the other basket and we walked to the car. I smiled at him trying to clear the awkward tension between us. I started singing a rap song horribly while dancing and nudging Trick until he looked at me weirdly, smiling. "That's it." I smiled and ruffled his hair.

To Blunt The Sharpest Claw
The Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels are a series of New Fable genre novels that involve cats and dogs and high adventure and romance and espionage and food-fights and hotels and explosions and car chases. With large casts, exotic locations and an absurdity only possible in the absence of human characters, the Velvet Paw of Asquith Novels blend Wind in the Willows with James Bond, though with more cafes and fewer badgers. This submission is the third title in its Morigan Trilogy, beginning two-thirds of the way through the series' longest adventure yet. Here's a quick recount of what's happened so far: When Oscar Teabag-Dooven, a Velvet Paw of Asquith, is ordered to investigate how a mysterious poet, the Ar'dath-Irr, is able to travel instantaneously around the world, two very bad things happen. Firstly, he meets Lydia, an insane librarian who punches everyone in the face, and secondly, the Ar'dath-Irr reveals he is intent on taking over the world. Although this second thing might be considered worse than the first, Oscar feels differently following Lydia’s destruction of a cafe, a library and his face in one afternoon. In comparison, thwarting world domination just seems easier. Along with Binklemitre, a fellow Velvet Paw of Asquith, and Lydia, Oscar infiltrates the Ar’dath-Irr’s realm of dark poetry to discover the dog not only intends wrenching the world apart but has no intention of cleaning up afterwards. As a result, Oscar decides it’s all too hard and goes home to have a bath. After lots of arguing and the sort of food fight that posh restaurants were invented for, Lydia and Binklemitre convince him that they must stop the Ar’dath-Irr for several reasons, one of them quite serious. A vibrant cast of characters collide as Oscar, Lydia and Binklemitre battle the Ar’dath-Irr and his disciples in an adventure involving exploding cafés and appalling hotels, car chases and inadvertent surgery, dreadful poetry, lots of arguments and at least one temper-tantrum, all of which draw the three into dark and convoluted corners of a world they weren’t aware existed. Moreover, any chance of sitting down and discussing things over some buns disappears when Lydia punches the Ar’dath-Irr in the face. This results in her having a psychotic episode and Oscar getting run over by an ambulance. Although Binklemitre suffers neither, he witnesses both, which is almost as dreadful, though not nearly so messy. An enormous battle ensues, followed by a dinner party and then everything explodes.
