JACE POV

I sat there watching her as she approached the man near the bike. We both knew he was a vampire, but I really needed the bike. I saw her awkwardly flirt with him. I chuckled at how terrible she was. She was super cute though. Of course, she didnt know how I felt about her.

I watched her intently. I saw as the vampire took her under his control. I clenched my fist as I heard her giggle at him. I normally never get jealous, but with Clary it was all the time. I tried to keep my cool as I walked up to them. "Beat it." I told him sternly. He hissed at me and then spoke. "Piss off shadowhunter." I chuckled and looked at Clary. "Don't move." I told her. She looked at me with confusion.

I walked towards the bloodsucker and punched him straight in the face in between his eyes. He fell backwards and tossed his keys in the air. I grabbed them and turned back to Clary.

I was just about to walk towards her when my feet got kicked and I fell over. I cursed under my breath and watched the vamp walk back over to Clary. I used my rune to jump in front of him before he could reach her. I took out my Seraph blade and sent him back to hell.

Suddenly Clary snapped back into reality. "Jace?!" She asked. I smiled trying to calm her. I heard hissing behind me and I turned around.

"Clary get on the bike." I said immediately. "What?" She asked me. "Get on the bike!" I said quickly while jumping on. She did the same.

I started the bike and she wrapped her arms around me. My heart stopped for a second and I pushed it out of my head. I had to make sure we would live. We flew out of the building together.

I could hear the roaring of bikes behind us. I knew the vamps would follow us to get justice for their friend. I went faster at the thought.

We all reached the road. There was so much screeching from the tires it made my head hurt. I could hear the bikes getting closer to us. I turned my head to look. The vampires had caught up to us extremely quickly.

A few of the bikes passed us, and the group of vampires on the back of the bikes reached over biting at our skin. I could feel the burning sensation in my arms. I could feel Clary's arms tighten around me. I knew she had been getting bitten as well. I tried to go faster but the bike had reached its limit.

Suddenly I heard a loud crashing sound. I looked to my left and saw the vampires falling of the bikes. I looked to my right and saw something like a fireball and then an arrow going through the vampires chest. I looked back up to make sure we didn't drift off the road.

"You guys ok?" I heard a familiar voice say on our right. I looked back over and saw Izzy, Alec, and Magnus all on a bike. Izzy was driving as Alec and Magnus were fighting. "Yeah." I replied. "Thanks for the help." I said to them. Alec nodded his head. "What are parabatai for huh?" He said. I laughed at him. "We'll meet you back at the Institute." Izzy said to us. "Alright.... but I want to try out this bike. Ive been eyeing it for years." I smiled mischievously and turned my head towards Clary so she could hear me. "Hold on." I said. "Why?" She asked me. I smiled again and checked to make sure she was holding onto me.

I moved my thumb over to a button on the bike. I pressed it. I could hear the screaming coming from Clary and we started to fly off the ground. I laughed at her as we flew over the city on the bike. I felt her rest her chin on my shoulder as she took in the view. "This is amazing!" She yelled.

I reached my hand back and wrapped it around her securely. I used all my force and flew her around so she was sitting in front of me with her body facing me. She gripped onto me as we flew and then laughed. "Why would though do that?! Are you trying to get me killed??" She asked me jokingly. "No." I said. I leaned in and gently kissed her on the lips. She smiled against me. I placed my hand on the side of her head. She smiled at me and pulled away. I stared deeply into her eyes. She was so beautiful. She met my gaze and crashed her lips back into mine.

"Hey! Eyes on the road!" I heard someone say while laughing. I pulled away suddenly and looked up. We were about to crash into the side of the freeway. I pulled up in the bike and we soared above it. I could hear cheering from someone and i looked to the left of me. Izzy, Alec, and Magnus were all laughing at us. "Hey! What happened to meeting you back at the Institute?" I asked them while laughing. "We wanted to see what was taking you so long." Alec said and he laughed even harder.

We all smiled at each other. "Guarantee you this bike goes faster than yours." I said to Izzy. "You wanna bet?" She asked me while wiggling her eyebrows. I laughed at her. "Loser buys drinks." She laughed at me. "Hope you have enough money." She said.

"Go!" I said while taking the lead. Clary and I were doing so good until I saw Izzy pass me with the help of Magnus's magic. "Cheater!" I called after them.

I had forgotten that Clary was still sitting in front of me. I looked at her and she kissed me on the lips once again making me forget the whole game. She pulled away from me. "I'll take a beer." She said trying to keep a straight face. I shook my head at her. "You're mean." I said. She stuck her tongue at me and we both laughed. We carried on like this the rest of the trip. Laughing, kissing and soaring past the clouds.
