JACE POV
My eyes slowly opened. All around me was shouting and white lights. It gave me a terrible headache. I shook my head left and right but my vision was still blurry. I could tell I was laying down and moving. Hospital maybe? I couldnt even remember what happened.
I could still hear all of the shouting but it all sounded like a bunch of mumbling. I couldnt make any of the words out. Suddenly I felt the moving and shouting stop. I could feel the heat coming from my ear. Someone was right next to me. "You're going to be okay Jace. I promise." The voice said. I recognized the voice. "Alec?" I mumbled. I hadn't seen him in years. I haven't seen any of them for years. I felt someone's hand on my own. I could tell it was a woman's hand. It was soft and familiar. I was about to whisper a name but I was unable to. I felt something cool go into my skin and I blacked out once again.
**********************************************************************************************************
I rubbed my eyes roughly trying to regain my consciousness. The plane ride was incredibly long and I took like three naps. I yawned as I grabbed my bag and walked off the plane.
I walked down to the baggage claim to grab my last bag. As I was standing there I looked around. There were so many people everywhere. They were all running and shouting. It was overwhelming to me.
As soon as I saw my bag I grabbed it and started to walk away. I was glad to be home. It was always nice to get away, but New York would always be my true home. No matter what. I honestly missed it.
My mind was racing with thoughts and exhaustion that I didnt see the girl in front of me. Apparently she didnt see me either. We collided into each other suddenly. I heard her gasp as she dropped her entire lunch it looked like. It went everywhere on the floor. "Oh my gosh!" She said. "I'm so sorry!" She exclaimed. "Crap." She said once she saw the lunch. I couldn't speak. She was absolutely beautiful. Her hair was at a perfect length and it was red. She was wearing a black and white dress that looked perfect on her. I couldnt stop starring at her.
"Are you ok?" She asked me. I immediately snapped out of my stare. I looked down at the floor and smiled. I had an idea. I grabbed the girls arm. "Come on!" I said while smiling. She smiled back and followed. "Hurry!" I said while running to the escalator. She laughed and followed me down.

We ran down the escalator, through a few doors, and then we ran outside. I was chuckling as she ran out behind me. She ran till she was right next to me. "So why were we running?" She asked me while smiling. My smile turned to serious. "If you spill anything on the airport floor they make you clean it in front of everyone. It's embarrassing." I said trying to hold back my smile. She looked at me. "Oh really. And um when did they start doing this?" She asked me. She knew I was lying. "Its a new rule. I came here one time with my friend to help him move and he spilled his soup everywhere. They made him pick it up." I nodded my head like I was serious. I then got another idea in my head.
I pulled out my phone and looked up young guys cleaning soup off of an airport floor. I quickly copied the photo and opened it up for her to see. "Here's the photo I got of him." I said while showing her the picture. She started to laugh. "Wow. You are seriously desperate." I looked at her in question. She laughed again. "You do realize that guy works here right. I see him every time I go to the airport."
I laughed again and she spoke. "Did you seriously think that that story would give you my phone number?" She asked me with a smile. I smiled to. "No. But maybe lunch will. Considering you spilled yours everywhere in there." I said. She chuckled. "I know a great little place. Come with?" I asked her. She thought for a moment before responding. "Alright. But on one condition." I looked at her. "Name it." She smiled. "You have to tell me your name." She finally said. I gave her a small laugh and extended my hand. "Jace Wayland. And you are?" I said. "Clary Fray. Nice to meet you." She extended her hand as well.
"Well then, Clary Fray, you are about to witness the best wine and chocolate place in New York." I said. She slid her arm in mine and walked with me.
"This is the best piece of chocolate Ive ever tasted." Clary exclaimed to me. I smiled at her. "I told you! And you haven't even tasted the rest!" She giggled at me. "Try this one." I said. She grabbed the piece form my hand and put it in her mouth. I watched her expression carefully. I watched as her eyes completely lit up. It was a beautiful scene to watch. Her eyes looked like crystals shimmering in the light. Breathtaking.

"What?" She asked me in the sweetest voice. Even chocolate didnt compare to her voice. I shook my head slightly trying to get out of my daze. "Nothing." I smiled and she looked at me. She wasn't convinced. "It doesn't take that much to know when you are lying." She said to me. I smiled slightly embarrassed. "Why were you staring at me?" She asked me in the same sweet voice. I leaned in closer to her. "Who wouldn't." I answered simply. She leaned in towards me as well. We were inches apart. She smiled suddenly. "I'm gonna need that number." She whispered. I chuckled and we both pulled away.
Once I paid the check we got out of our seats and walked outside. "Thank you." She said to me. I nodded. "Of course. Thank you for spilling your lunch." I said while laughing. She chuckled too.
She had just started to turn away when I spoke suddenly. "Would you like yo maybe have dinner sometime?" I asked her. Her eyes lit up once again. "I'd love to." She replied. I nodded. "How about tomorrow?" I asked her. She put her hand on her chin as if she was thinking. "How about tonight?" She asked. I smiled at her. "Seven?" I asked. "Perfect." She replied. I walked away one of the happiest people alive and I knew she felt the same.
**********************************************************************************************************
I felt my eyes start ti slowly open as I regained consciousness. Thankfully the shouting was gone and my blurry vision was gone too. I looked around the room and realized I was in a hospital.
"Jace!" I heard two people say suddenly. I looked over and saw two people getting up off the chairs. "Alec? Izzy? What.... what are you guys doing here?" I asked them. They cam up next to me and Izzy took my hand. My heart sank as I realized that she was the one who took my hand earlier, not Clary. That was why it was so familiar.
"We saw your accident. It happened right outside the Institute." Alec replied. Suddenly every memory of Clary and her head out the glass came back to me and I almost shot out of bed. Alec held me down. "Where is she?" I asked desperately. Izzy grabbed my hand again. "She'll be okay Jace. She's going to be fine." Izzy said to me. I relaxed slightly and I watched as the doctor came in.
"Mr. Wayland. How are you feeling?" He asked me. "Fine." I said. "Where's Clary?" I asked desperately once again. "She's in the room next to you. Once I clear you, you can see her. She's sleeping right now and should wake up very soon. She took a very bad injury to her head, but she should recover fully." He replied.
It took another thirty minutes for the doctor to make sure everything was fine with me before he released me. I got out of the bed and walked with Izzy and Alec to Clary's room. When I saw her I immediately went to her and grabbed her hand.
It was another thirty minutes before I heard the sheets of the bed make sounds. I opened my eyes from the small nap I took and looked at her. I saw her eyes opening. Suddenly the nurse walked in. "You're awake. Good. I'm sure you're head hurts so I will go and get you some medicine for that. Do you need anything else?" She asked. Clary didnt respond. "She just woke up. It might take her a moment." I said. The nurse nodded and walked out. Clary turned to me.
"Um.. when... when will I be able to go home doctor?" She asked a few minutes later. I looked up at the door but no one was there. It was just me, Alec, and Izzy. "Is there something wrong doctor?" She asked. Then I realized she was talking to me. "Clary you know who I am right?" I asked her. "Yeah." She replied. "You're my doctor."
My eyes widened. How did she not remember me? I finally spoke. "Clary, im your boyfriend." I said. She shook her head at me. "I don't have a boyfriend." She said confusingly. I felt Izzy place her hand on me. "Why dont you go and talk to the doctor and I will talk to Clary." She said. I nodded with fear and left the room.

In one swift motion, he flipped my body so my back was pressed against his chest and hands gripped the curve of my hips. "What game are you trying to play at Valerie?" he spoke in a husky voice.
