Finn's POV

We stopped at a building with a sign that said 'Little Lambs Day Care'. Morgan hopped off the horse and helped Josie off. "Stay, Caspian." She said, gently placing her hand on the horse's nose. "Ok, Mom and Dad will pick you up today. They might be a little late, because of Mom's cancer club meeting, ok." Morgan told her sister as she took her helmet off. "Ok, bye sissy." Josie said, giving Morgan a hug. She's such an adorable kid. "Have fun. I love you." Morgan said, kissing Josie's head. "Love you, too. Bye Finn!" Josie said waving at me. "Bye Josie." I said, waving at her before she ran to the open door. A woman appeared as Josie got to the door. "Good morning, Josie." The woman said. "Good morning, Mrs. Hemmings!" Josie happily said before she went inside. "Hey, Mrs. Shawna. My parents are going to pick her up. They might be a little late. Mom started her treatments today." Morgan said, walking over to the woman. "I heard that. Know that your family will be in our prayers." The woman said. "Thank you." Morgan said. "Who is that, on your horse?" the woman asked. "That is Finn Harries. He is one of the British kids that we're being paid to house for the summer. Apparently, they were taking advantage of their city life London." Morgan explained. "And I can't think of another family here that can give them a good piece country life like yours." The woman said, making Morgan smile an adorable smile. "Thank you. Yeah, with Josh gone and Mom sick, we'll need more help on the farm. Well, I need to get going. Get him and his brother use to the farm." Morgan said. "Of course, have a blessed day, Morgan." The woman said. "You too, Mrs. Shawna." Morgan said, before beginning to walk back to my and Caspian. "Ready to go?" Morgan asked as she hooked her foot into the stirrup. "Yep." I said as she carefully kicked up on the saddle.

"Morgan Stone!" We both heard someone call her name. A girl that looked around our age got out of a car with a little boy. "What up, Brooke?" Morgan asked the girl as she led the boy to the door. "Bye Braxton. I'll be great if you tell my you're going to the Summer Hoedown." The girl said as the boy went inside. "I don't know." Morgan said. "Come on M, they put me on entertainment because we're friends and I can stand up against Penny." The girl said. "What? Penny thinks she's gonna sing? That's a laugh." Morgan said. "The house band needs talent, Morgan. We need you." The girl pleaded. "I'll think about it." Morgan said, about to take off. "Come on Morgan, I haven't seen you at a party since freshman year. I feel like Kennedy would drag you off your farm if she could." The girl said, making Morgan laugh. "I don't know." Morgan said again. "Just consider it, please? It starts at 6 at Piper's. I could help you with an outfit and make up and all that stuff." The girl said. "Ok, if I agree to go, I guess I'll text you." Morgan said, giving in. "Yes! Ok, don't wait 'til the last minute. I'll need time to actually get to your farm." The girl said excitedly. "Brooke, calm down. I guess I might see you tomorrow." Morgan said, smiling and leading Caspian away. "Yes! Guess what, Drew? We got Morgan on mic! I know! This will be the best Summer Hoedown ever!" we heard the girl say to her phone, making Morgan smile.

"What was that about?" I asked, laughing a little. "Brooke, she's something else." Morgan said, laughing at her friend. "What's the Summer Hoedown and why aren't you wanting to go?" I questioned. "Well, at the beginning of every summer, the junior to senior class, which is my class this year, holds a big end of the school year party thing. Usually, it's just a bunch of music, dancing: the typical high school party. But, my class is into extravagant stuff, so we're adding a bunch of other stuff, lights, food, all that cool stuff. Apparently, this year is supposed to be the best one since 1986, the class before my parents." Morgan explained. "And, why do you want to stay home from that? That sound dope." I said. "Well, I wasn't going to go because Kennedy's not here..." she began as we rode home. "Wait, I've heard that name before. Your parents were talking about her. Who is Kennedy?" I asked. I felt Morgan sigh against my chest. "Kennedy has been my best friend since diapers. We've gone through everything together. First day of school, the comings of our younger siblings, first concerts, driving tests, first crushes, her first boyfriend, everything, including the divorce of her parents in 7th grade. Her mom got remarried and moved to New York and her dad stayed here in Florence. Kennedy stayed here during the school year and went to her mom's during breaks and holidays. Well, her parents recently had a huge law suit about a month or so ago. Her mom got full legal rights for some stupid reason. That means that Kennedy has to live with her in New York, but won't be able to come and visit her dad, or me, or anyone else until we graduate. Even then, her mom is fighting to restrict K from even entering the state until she's 21. Then, she'll go to NYU and go on with her life and forget about Florence." Morgan finished working herself up. "That's horrible." I softly said. "When we found Mom's cancer, I legit cried at her house for a good 8 hours. I was planning on falling on her whenever I needed to, but now that she's 987 miles away, I can't and it's really hard." She said. Wow, Morgan has gone through a lot. She's lost her best friend at the worst time in her life. It must be terrible. She doesn't have any moral support with her best friend in New York and Josh away at college. I have to lighten this mood. "Well, if you need to talk to anyone or need someone to lean on, Jack and I are here. I mean, we're not just here to live in your house or work on your farm." I said, making her softly laugh. Score! I got a laugh. Anything to make her happier.

As we rode home, we talked about everything. We talked about her music, mine and Jack's YouTube channel, her favorite school memories, my favorite trips. There was a connection and a strong feeling created between us that I've never felt before. My stomach felt fuzzy every time her back touch my chest or when my hands brushed her hips as we rode the rocky terrain. And just listening to her talk made my heart flutter. "And because the band contest was on Halloween, we got to go to each band bus and collect candy. It was so much fun. But the ride back was crazy 'cause everyone was high on candy." Morgan said, laughing as she ended another marching band story. I linked my hands around her waist as we went over uneven land. "That's cool." I said, laughing with her. "Do you have another trip story you would like to share?" she asked. "Well, by far, my favorite trip was the one we took to India. We were a part of this thing called the Rickshaw Run. We were given these vehicles called Tuk Tuks and we had to travel the longest width of the country in 18 days. We fundraised and represented for the TeenTrust Cancer Foundation and we raised more than £10000." I explained. "Wow." Morgan said. "We had the greatest time. Jack and I invited a few of our friends to join us. We did break down a lot, but it was so much fun." I said as the house came into view. A UPS truck was parked on the long gravel drive. "Are you expecting a package?" Morgan asked me. "Um, not that I know of." I said. "We never get packages." Morgan said.

"Good morning, Morgan." A guy in UPS uniform said as we got to the front door. "Sam, I didn't know you worked for UPS." Morgan said to the guy. "And I didn't know you had two extra people on the Stone farm. I have a whole lot for a Jack and Finn Harries. Two for you and one for Mrs. Jenny." The guy said. "Like, how many boxes?" Morgan asked, confused. "About 30." He said shortly. "Oh no. I didn't think they would find the address." I said. "What?" Morgan asked. "It's fan mail." I said. "And, why are you getting fan mail?" Morgan asked, turning around to look at me. "Our YouTube channel that I was telling you about, it has more than 2 million subscribers." I said. We sat in silence as they both took in my statement. "...Ok...That explains that." Morgan said, a little stunned. I got off of Caspian and stood beside the guy. "Just sign this, and I'll help you get the packages inside." He said, handing me a clipboard as Morgan rode Caspian to the stables.
