Morgan's POV
"That's the last of it." Sam said as he handed me the large last box. "Thanks." I said, looking at the ginormous pile of boxes. "No problem. Are you going to the Summer Hoedown?" he asked. "I'm not sure." I replied. "Well, you need to go. I know your class is awesome and everything, but yall need a good singer to pull it all off. Not Penny Dial." He said. "Thanks for the tip." I said. "See you later then." Sam said before pulling out of our long driveway. I turned and looked at the pile once again. Where are we going to put all this stuff? "I know what we're going to do today." I heard Finn say from behind the pile. "Help me with my chores?" I asked, hopefully. "Not quite." Finn said, laughing while coming out from behind the pile. "We're going to film an opening mail video." He finished. "Well, don't make a big mess." I said, going into the kitchen to begin my chores. "Wait a minute, I don't know where you're going. You're going to be in the video, too." Finn said, softly grabbing my arm, turning me around. "Oh, no I'm not." I said, laughing. "Yes, you are." Finn said with a smile. "I didn't sign up for this." I said. "Well, what chores do you have left?" he asked. "I have to pick from the garden, clean the horse stable and cow pin, and laundry." I said. "See. We have enough time. Go pick from the garden and I get Jack up and make lunch. Then we'll make the video and help with the rest of your chores." Finn said. Well, that does get me out of cleaning by myself. "You really want me in this video, don't you?" I asked. "Absolutely." He said, flashing me a smile. "Fine." I reluctantly said. "Yes!" Finn said, pumping his fist in the air before I went outside.

"How are we doing with lunch?" I asked as I entered the kitchen with vegetables in hand. "Finn's Fabulous BLT for a Miss Morgan Stone." Finn said, sliding me a plate with a delicious looking sandwich on it. "Ooh! That looks good." I said as I washed my hands. "It was good." Finn's identical twin brother, Jack, said. "Jack, Morgan. Morgan, Jack." Finn introduced us as I sat down at the kitchen bar across from him. "Nice to meet you." Jack said, sticking a hand out. "Nice to meet you, too." I said, shaking his hand. "So, are you going to be in the mail video with us?" Jack asked. "Yeah, she is." Finn answered for me. "Are you sure you want me in it?" I asked. "Of course. It's always cool having new people in our videos." Jack said. "And, because you're going to be in the video, we are going to help you with the rest of your chores." Finn said, sitting down next to me. "We will?" Jack asked, arching his eyebrow in confusion. "We're getting a chore list tomorrow anyway, so why not? It will almost be as fun as this video." Finn said, making me giggle. "Whatever, mate. I'm going to go set up the camera. When you're done, come up to our room." Jack said, getting up from the bar and going up stairs. Finn and I ate in silence. Butterflies began to form in my stomach. 2 million people are going to see that video...What if they make fun of me? Maybe if I tell Finn no, he'll understand.... "Don't be nervous. They'll love you." Finn said, pulling me out of my thoughts. "Did I say something out loud?" I asked, afraid that I might have spilled some of my thoughts. "No, but a bunch of people get nervous on their first video. I was super nervous before the first video I was in with Jack. There's nothing to worry about." He said. "What if you lose fans?" I asked softly. "Because you're in a video? If they leave after one video, they weren't true fans to begin with. Honestly, I believe we'll gain some fans. We finally have a pretty face for them to look at." Finn said, pulling a piece of my hair behind my ear, making me blush. "Now, come on before Jack gets anxious." He said. "Finn! Morgan! I'm ready! Let's go!" we heard Jack shout from upstairs, making us laugh.

"Hey, guys. We're here, Finn and I, with another mail video." Jack said to his camera a few feet away from us. "You guys are some dedicated fans. Somehow you found our address and we got, like, 30 parcels." He went on. "But, before we start, we have a special guest with us, Miss Morgan Stone." Finn introduced me. "Hi, guys." I said waving at the camera with a smile. "This is actually her farm that we're staying on." Finn said. "Let's get started." Jack said, grabbing the first box. For the next hour, we opened all 30 packed boxes. They came from everywhere: Australia, Columbia, Brazil, Germany, New York, LA, South Africa, France, and many more. We unpack everything from candy, like Maoams, to kiddy toys and tshirts. I had so much fun, I totally forgot about my nervousness. "Guys. That was the last one." Jack said as Finn stuck a sticker on my leggings. "I had fun. How about you, Morgan?" Finn asked me. "Yeah. It was a whole lot more fun than I thought it would be." I said before eating a Maoam. "See, I told you that you would be fine. You shouldn't have been nervous." Finn said. "Everyone, Morgan was nervous before we started. She hung in there like a pro." Jack said, putting a hand up for a high five. "If you think this bit of cuteness needs to be in another video, give her a thumbs up and a comment." Finn said as I gave Jack a high five. "That's it for us." Jack said. "Hey, we should get Morgan to sing the theme song." Finn offered before Jack could turn off the camera. "And, what is that?" I asked. "It was in that video that those two girls from Australia made." Finn said, making me remember the song the girls sung at the end of their video. "Is it the JacksGap, 5 minutes of your life thing?" I asked as Jack got up and got his ukulele. "Yep, you got it?" Jack asked. "Yeah, I think so." I said. "Cool. 1, 2, ah 1, 2, 3, 4." Jack counted off before playing. "JacksGap, JacksGap. Five minutes of your life you won't get back. No." I sung, making the twins smile. "Look at that." Jack said. "She's pretty and she can sing." Finn said, making me blush. "That's is everyone. See you later." Jack said before turning the camera off.

"I didn't know you can sing!" Jack said after he turned the camera off. "Me neither. Is that why everyone is wanting you at that Summer Hoedown?" Finn asked. "Yeah." I said, shyly blushing. "Wait, what's a Summer Hoedown?" Jack asked. "You have to go, no if's, and's, or but's about it." Finn said, standing up. "What's a Summer Hoedown?" Jack asked a little louder. "It's an end of school party that Morgan is singing at." Finn explained. "Well, I'm not sure if I want to go yet." I said. "You have to go with a voice like yours." Finn said. "Hey, Morgan, you have a couple parcels." Jack said, pushing two large boxes towards me. Who could they be from? 'To: Morgan Stone: Florence, Alabama. From: James or Elizabeth Barnes: New York City, New York.' In pencil under the label, I read in familiar handwriting, 'Kennedy Arnold'. "Yes!!" I squealed, grabbing the boxes and racing to my room. "Woah, slow down Morgan." I heard Jack say as the twins entered my room after me. I quickly grabbed a pair of scissors and began to tear open the boxes. "Is it from Kennedy?" Finn asked. "Yeah, I'm super excited." I said, looking inside. Tissue paper separated the opening from everything under it. A letter with the words 'To my BFF', sat on top. "Read it out loud." Finn said as I picked it up from out of the box.

Witchbone: The Goblins Winter
Themes found in these stories include friendship, found family, defying negative expectations, trying to figure out how to be a force for good in your corner of the world, doing heroic things even if you don't look or feel like a hero, and that being different isn't necessarily fatal. Summary: A spell of arctic weather. A mysterious death. The reading of a will. Strange tracks in the snow. Eleven-year-old Danny Hallow accepts his life, such as it is. His father is dead, his mother left years ago. His three Keepers are the only people aware of Danny's erratic and not-very-impressive psychic abilities. He has no friends, he's been suspended from school, and he's responsible for the life of a small brown bat that's ended up in his care. When Danny's estranged Uncle Enoch dies under mysterious circumstances, he and his Keepers are called to the town of Eddystone, New Hampshire for the reading of the man's will. Traveling four hundred miles from his dreaded hometown to attend, Danny is happy to get away, possibly inherit something interesting- and maybe find out more about his family while he's there. Arriving at the crumbling family estate of Gnomewood Home, he finds it to be hauntingly familiar, a bit creepy, oddly comforting, and possibly alive. When his uncle's will reveals that he's inherited Gnomewood and everything in it, he's determined to stay and make a happier life for himself in Eddystone, somehow. But at Gnomewood, he finds more questions than answers to his family's secrets. Disturbing old memories come to him in dreams. His psychic abilities begin to grow stronger, and as a result he becomes aware that a horde of cryptic creatures are plaguing the town of Eddystone, seemingly drawn out by the spell of an unusually frigid February. Toothy little goblins that are sneaky, vicious, and hungry. Goblins that take a particular interest in Danny. Will the emergence of the alien, and potentially dangerous, power he's inherited from his peculiar family tree help Danny survive the goblin infested winter, inadvisable attempts to befriend a terrifying boy with silver eyes, and a new school? Only if he learns to control them before they put him and everyone around him in danger. Before they convince some people that he should never have been allowed to exist at all. Before he becomes just another twisted tale in his family's bizarre history, kept hidden for centuries within the ivy-covered walls of Gnomewood Home.
