《The Fifth Horseman - Now You See Me (Daniel Atlas Fanfiction)》Chapter 8: Hacking

Morgan's POV
It's been a week since that night at Central Park when Teresa Monk blindly robbed us of Jackson's treatment money. Mom had been notified and had talked to Uncle Dylan about a few things. Uncle Dylan hasn't been at the apartment much at all this week; he was furious when I told him what happened. How am I holding up? Well, I'm trying my hardest to keep it together for Jackson's sake. I got to talk to him a couple of days ago. They haven't told him that he might not be receiving medication anymore; he was just as happy as any other day. He did ask me when I was coming home. When am I coming home? I mean, we really need to defeat The Five of Hearts and Teresa. I have enough credits in school to graduate and I got a 32 on my ACT, so I don't think school would be a problem. Uncle Dylan really didn't put an expected time of stay on my tarot card.
Everything happening in New York was ordered chaos. Either practicing tricks, making show plans, or, what I'm doing, hacking into a certain bank account. Yesterday, with my awesome computer skills, we've found all the people that have been stolen from by The Five of Hearts. Our plan, if it works, is to bring together all the victims of theft and give back their money. And we plan on doing this all in their faces; it'll be killer if we can pull it off, but, I mean, we're the Four, I mean, Five Horsemen. Why would we not be able to pull it off?
"How are we doing, M&M?" Merritt asked, looking at my laptop from over my shoulder. "Doing well, Mr. McKinney. I'm almost there on the password." I said. "Great." He said. "Hey, random question, why does the Boss call you M&M?" Jack asked, grabbing orange juice from the fridge. "Because she's full of chocolaty sweetness." Merritt said. "No." I said, eyes on my computer. "Because you're sweet as chocolate?" Henley asked, walking into the living room. "Nope." I said, laughing at their guesses. "Do you have a guess, Daniel?" I asked the mysterious figure coming out of his room. His hair was tousled, he looked tired. He probably stayed up again, working. He looked at me for a little bit, just taking me in, I guess. "No, not really." He said. "Well, we all guessed. What is it?" Jack asked. "It's simple. My first and middle name start with M. Morgan Marie. Also, I loved M&Ms as a kid. Still do. Dad always said I would turn into an M&M if I kept eating them." I said. "Wow, it was that simple?" Jack asked. "Morgan Marie. That a pretty set." Daniel said. "I wish I had a pretty middle name." Henley said. "What's that?" Merritt asked, trying to get to her middle name. "Uh, no sir Mr. Mentalist. None of you will find that out." Henley said. "It's Elizabeth." I said, quickly. Everyone looked at me as I work on the bank account. "Wha...How did you know??" Henley asked. "A magician never tells about their tricks." I said, placing a nose on my finger, looking back on how I came upon the middle name. "Henley Elizabeth.....Henley Elizabeth." Merritt began to say. "Please don't call me that." Henley said. "I never saw you as an Elizabeth." Daniel said, running his fingers through his hair.

"So, um... Morgan, have you gotten into the bank account yet?" Henley asked, changing the subject. "Well, I'm almost there at the password, but I've also found out that they are being funded by a certain English insurance company that we all know and love." I said, with sarcasm. "Tressler?" Daniel asked. "I thought we put him in jail." Jack said. "Well, he has a son. Walter Tressler. Took up the company after his father's sentence. I'm suspecting he has the same goals as his old man." I said. "So, do you think The Five of Hearts is working for Tressler Jr.?" Henley asked. "Maybe." I said. "That also might be why Teresa stole from you." Merritt said. "I think that was more personal that professional." I said. "So, now we know we have to deal with another Tressler, maybe even both." Daniel said. I then began to think. "What you thinking, M&M?" Merritt asked, seeing my look of deep thought. "Do we want to make Walter Tressler apart of our show?" I asked. "That would be cool." Jack said. "What do you think, Daniel?" Henley asked. "I think it's another amazing idea from our master mind." He said, giving me a wink while drinking his coffee. "Great. So after Morgan gets the password, we can start creating the structure of the show." Henley said. Just as she said this, the words 'Access Granted' came onto my screen. The account showed on my laptop. "Houston we have landed." I said. "You hacked their account?" Jack asked as the Horsemen rushed to me to look at my screen. "Yep, and it looks like they took precautions. To take money out, you have to have a bank code, a code that only the account owner and the banker know of." I said, finding my road block. "Aw, man. There goes our show." Jack said, giving up. "Well, young grass hopper, I have connections." I said, getting up from my seat, running to my room. I pulled out a certain card from my wallet. I came back to the living room to see all 4 Horsemen with confused looks.

"One of my friends at home used to be a bank teller at one of our banks. Before he left his job, they made a new policy that every employee had to have a card and a code that could open any account in the world with correct permission. I know, weird." I said, answering Daniel's look of confusion. "Why would they do that?" Henley asked. "I don't know. But, when my friend quit, I got the card from him, just in case anything like this happened to Jackson's account. Lots of people have tried to steal from the account. It's so protected, I'm really surprised that Teresa was able to pull it off." I said. "So, if someone stole from the account, you would be able to get it back no problem." Merritt said. "Yeah, and, hopefully, we can do that for everyone who has been stolen from." I said, scanning the card with my phone, then sending it to my computer. With a little bit more hacking, I was able access the ability to remove money from the account. "Well, look-y there." Merritt said. "Now, who wants to create a show?" I asked.
