《Whirl》chapter 10

When August and Josie landed in London, they were taken to their hotel that was right in the middle of the gorgeous city. The view from the room itself was incredible. Josie couldn't believe August did this all the time.

"Alright, I've got to head out," August said, appearing from his own personal suite. He made large strides to her, handing her a card. "Use it if you decide to go out. Please be careful."

Josie was shocked at the offer. "August, I don't need your credit card. Thank you for offering it to me."

He gave her a smile, almost devilish. He took her hand and placed it in her palm. "You will use this."

"I will?" Josie questioned. He couldn't make her. "I'm not hanging around you for your money."

"Of course you're not," he said sincerely, eyebrows furrowed. "But I want to take care of you. If you don't accept, I'll just deposit money into your personal account."

"No," she said as firmly as possible, but it was hard to say no to someone who didn't know the word. "You've known me for a week. You shouldn't even be trusting me with this. I am not your sugar baby."

August's temper was flaring, but at the same time, it was so relieving to have someone push back. It made him want to provide for her even more.

"Time doesn't matter if it's right, Josie. I have developed strong feelings for you and I want to provide for you while we are on this trip."

"What are we then?" Josie whispered.

August knew she deflected the conversation. "We can be whatever you want us to be, but you are mine. I care about you more than I have anybody else," he said, cupping her face. "I really have to go."

She nodded feeling tingly from his words, accepting the card from his grasp. She was never going to touch it after this.

August was getting ready to open the door when he turned to her once more with a smile, "You won't be able to talk to me like that forever. You better enjoy it."

Josie smiled back. She liked when he was playful with her, but deep down she knew he wasn't fully joking. She shivered with excitement at the thought.

Their relationship was moving fast. It was definitely a , but sometimes you just had to go along for the ride. She didn't know if she could ever be apart from August after the trip because she was getting attached fast, and that was startling. He was going back to the city and she had to figure out if she still wanted to move. She wasn't sure what was going to happen in the coming days.

Pushing those thoughts out of her head, she unpacked a bit, before heading down into the city. She was desperate for a snack, and something nearby had caught her nose.

Josie ended up with some street food, taking a seat on a bench to enjoy the flow of people and the shops. She couldn't believe she was truly living in a moment she had always dreamed about.

August told her he would take her to some tourist places as well as some of his favorite spots, and she couldn't wait to get up close. The drive from the airport itself was incredible.

Exhausted from the travelling, she decided to go back up and take a nap. She knew August would be awhile, and now that her stomach was full and her mind was happy, she couldn't wait to put on pajamas and curl under the blankets.

August found Josie a few hours later, curled on the large couch with a blanket. Her book was splayed out, and she was sleeping soundly.

He saw the credit card where she had put it on the table earlier and rolled his eyes. He was going to have to keep on her.

He desperately wanted to take a nap as well, but it was already evening and it would screw with his schedule. From years of traveling abroad, he knew the best thing for jet lag was to try to stay up as late as possible so his body would proceed as normal.

He decided to take a shower and put on fresh clothes. Josie was rubbing her eyes when he came out of his room.

"Hey," August smiled, taking in the adorable sleepy girl.

She smiled in return, picking up the blanket so he could sit next to her. She laid her head in his lap with a yawn. He stroked her hair and let out a sigh, all of the tension leaving his body at her presence.

"It looks like you had a good nap," he said. "Don't close your eyes again, baby. You won't be able to sleep tonight if you do." He gently ran us thumb soothingly over her cheek, before she grabbed his hand.

"Stop it then. You're putting me to sleep doing that," she grumbled, the smile still on her face.

August chuckled. She was so precious.

"How about we get some dinner? There's still time to go to one place afterwards and I have the perfect place in mind."
