《Flaming Light》Chapter 12: You Are Truly Something

The Battle Royale Tournament has begun and Serena, Dubnet, Damian, Tesla, Teru and Maka are through to the next round. Two groups remain to have their matches concluded; Group G which includes Dayve vs Gerrar vs Erraz and Group H having Kevine vs Kevla vs Borro. Gerrar having angered Dayve has been knocked out by the shockwave of a very powerful technique coupled with a terrifying killing intent. Now in another epic battle, one between Erraz and Dayve, darkness and light, who will emerge victorious?

“This is a tale of humans, beasts, and beings from other worlds. A tale of girl who wants to surpass the strongest; no this is their tale. A tale of hope. A tale of Flaming Light.”

Erraz and Dayve rush in and begin to engage each other in combat. Sali and Scupto watch from the spectator seats, conversing alongside.

“Wow. What a high speed battle that was between Gerrar and Dayve. Still that killing intent from Dayve was quite frightening,” Sali says.

Scupto holds his chin, watching the current battle and says, “Sure. That was, without a doubt, something incredible between those two however I could already tell the result of the match from before that. Gerrar didn’t stand a chance against Dayve in my opinion.”

“Hmm? Seems like you had it all figured out. Feeling like a hot shot now, are you?” a girl from behind comments, referring to Scupto.

“Huh? And you are?” Scupto replies turning back.

“Shit! That’s Ainer Buster,” Sali says, looking surprised at the girl behind, Ainer Buster.

“Who in the world is that?” Scupto asks.

“What?! You don’t even know her?! She’s one of the prodigies at this school and daughter to one of the fearsome Darklords, Ray Buster. She didn’t participate in this tournament because she had another tournament, the one I attended and as expected, she ended up winning. Her potential is amazing,” Sali answers, looking at Ainer.

Ainer has black shoulder length bob hairstyle with bangs, red eyes having red luster, light ebony skinned, and that classy but prideful look in her eyes. She is wearing a short red sleeveless jumpsuit, a pair of black ankle boots with some bracelets on her hands and a black choker necklace.

“Hoo… Sali Woods, thank you for the introduction,” Ainer states, haughtily.

“Ah! I see. So that’s why you seemed offended by my words,” Scupto says.

“Well… you were sounding like you could do better or you’re more powerful despite the fact that I can’t seem to detect any spectacular amount or type of energy from you, Mr…what was your name again?” Ainer responds with a smirk.

“The pride you prodigies must have, feeling like a big fish. If only you knew how tiny you are, like an ant in this vast world. Sure, you all have potentials but don’t think you’re the only ones that strong among your peers. That being said, I’m sure I’d perform better,” Scupto replies.

“Hmmm, I detect some boasting there. Ant huh? Is that a dare? Can I hold you to your word?” Ainer asks smiling.

Sali nudges Scupto and whispers, “Don’t, Scupto. Ainer loves challenges and will gladly accept to fight you just to humiliate you.”

“Ah. I see. Well so far I’ve seen amazing feats from the likes of Dayve, Damian, the silver haired chic, Tesla and even that idiot, Dubnet. Wonder why he isn’t part of this ‘prodigy’ clique,” Scupto responds, holding his chin.

“Fine by me then. It’s a challenge then, Ainer Buster. However, I do feel like you won’t be enough to fully entertain me. Maybe some of your friends might want to join in,” he adds.

“What? You actually dare challenge me and the other prodigies?! Humph!!! I accept then however, let’s see the tournament to conclusion and see if you still decide to,” Ainer says and grins, with her lustrous red eyes shining so brightly.

“Humph!!! Let’s see how much mouth you’ll have once you see the others go all out. Ants in a vast world huh? You speak like one who has seen a glimpse of overwhelming power before and possesses great power but I can’t seem to detect anything special from you. Probably just all talk, an empty vessel. We’ll see,” she thinks to herself.

“Well, sure they are capable but it’s nothing I can’t handle,” Scupto says to himself and smiles.

“What are you smiling at, stupid?! You just set yourself up for disgrace. Ainer won’t back down and when the others hear of this, you’ll be a laughing stock. I don’t know how you intend to get out of this. I’ve never even felt any kind of awesome power from you yet you boast like you have such,” Sali rants, pinching Scupto’s arm hard.

“Ouch! Calm down Sali. At least I don’t school here, let’s focus on the match first. It seems something fascinating is going to happen,” Scupto says, rubbing the place Sali pinched and turning his attention back to the match.

At the viewing room of the participants.

“You’ve fought Erraz before and you defeated him. What can you say about this match, Damian?” Tesla questions from Damian.

“Hmm. I wouldn’t say to underestimate Erraz. He’s truly a genius and his techniques are quite heavy. If I hadn’t quickly reacted by quaking his black canon, I may have been in serious trouble. Nonetheless, we just witnessed a magnificent display from Dayve. I’ll go with Dayve in this one,” Damian answers.

“Pfft!!! That Dayve feeling like he’s so strong. He could have killed Gerrar you know,” Tesla states, frowning.

Back at the match…

Erraz and Dayve move swiftly around the stage, evading each other’s kicks and punches. Suddenly, Erraz jumps back and both of them pause, staring at each other.

“I have no intention of dragging this on any longer than it should be,” Erraz says.

Immediately, he sets his right palm wide open, facing Dayve, with his left hand holding the right elbow. The atmospheric pressure around that area becomes so intense. The wind sweeps fiercely across Dayve causing his hair to flow backwards.

“Darkness Style: Black Canon: First Round,” Erraz says.

A small round object, black in color forms at the middle of Erraz’s palm with what seems like black smoke revolving round it and it begins to expand in size. Dayve makes an attempt to move to stop him however,

“One thing I learned from my fight with Damian is the amount of time it takes to form the canon gives my opponent the chance to attack. I’ll have to increase the creation time but for now this will suffice,” Erraz thinks to himself.

“Darkness Style: Darkness Bringer,” he says. Instantly a shadowy hand, larger than the size of a normal human, emerges from Erraz’s left shoulder and rushes to grab Dayve.

Dayve notices and steps back to avoid the hand but Erraz quickly appears some metres to his horizontal right then fades off quickly and appears behind him. Swiftly again, he vanishes and appears at his right, then back to his left and randomly begins appearing at various angles surrounding Dayve. While he does this, the shadowy hand distracts Dayve trying to take hold of him at each of Erraz’s appearance.

“I see. He’s using dark fade for high speed movements, to confuse me along with this arm. He’ll release his technique any time now,” Dayve ponders while avoiding the hand and still trying to keep track of Erraz.

Erraz, suddenly, in mid-air, appears at Dayve’s right and launches his attack, sending the black canon ball against Dayve. Dayve sees it and tries to move to dodge the ball but is intercepted by the shadowy hand. He quickly turns and launches a counter.

“Fire Release: Consuming Lion,” he says, blowing air from his mouth and forming a lion made solely of flames. The lion moves swiftly, opening its might jaws wide, it instantly eats up the ball, makes a sharp turn and bites off some parts of the shadow hand.

“What?!” Erraz exclaims, surprised as he lands on his feet and the lion runs to Dayve’s side.

In a flash, Dayve appears beside Erraz about to land a kick on his right temple (part of the human body. Erraz puts up his hand to block but Dayve instantly switches and lands a low kick on Erraz’s calf (back portion of the lower leg). This throws Erraz off balance and Dayve follows up with a heavy kick to his chin causing blood to spew, uses his other leg and slams another kick on Erraz’s side sending him flying some distance as Erraz groans, crashing into the floor, with his entire body screeching some distance.

“His combos are something else and quite fast. I can’t possibly hope to defeat him in hand to hand combat. Elemental fight is the only way. I guess I’ll have to use that,” Erraz thinks to himself as he staggers to stand, holding his side. He takes a deep breath and looks at Dayve.

Dayve senses danger and quickly steps back. Soon, dark clouds begin to emanate from Erraz and surround him. His hair begins to flow upwards a bit. Everyone viewing is somehow in awe of this.

At the Royal viewing room…

“Hmm… Interesting. Seems like this your son is quite the genius indeed, Ban Dane,” Darius, King of Darkville, says to one of those that accompanied him, sitting beside him, who happens to be Erraz’s father.

“To think there’d be someone in this generation who possesses that ability. This tournament is turning out to be quite something,” Phoenix says, seriously watching the match.

Back at the match…

Erraz is now shrouded in what seems to be like a cloak of dark clouds.

“Darkness Style: Dark Cloak,” he utters.

“What is going on? His power level seems to have increased,” Dayve ponders.

“Don’t waste your time thinking about it, Dayve. With this, it’ll end in an instant,” Erraz says and in the blink of an eye, appears in front of Dayve, launching a black canon, just an inch from Dayve.

BOOOMMM!!!

A mighty explosion is produced but Dayve is not there. He has moved and is standing some distance behind Erraz. He launches his fire release: lion’s roar technique, releasing huge amount of fire in the form of a very large and ferocious lion with its mouth fiercely opened against Erraz. Erraz evades by fading out and appearing high up in the air. He directs both his palms at Dayve, launching another assault at Dayve.

“Darkness Style: Black Canon: Second Round.”

This time, a black ball, larger than the previous ones is formed along with two other balls having the same size as the previous ones. With tremendous speed, the two smaller balls head for Dayve while the larger one keeps increasing. Dayve’s consuming lion made entirely of flames, quickly rushes and eats one of the balls but the second makes it way about to strike Dayve but Dayve, moving with high speed, avoids the attack by changing locations. Immediately this happens, Erraz sends the bigger ball against Dayve. The attack is too fast.

“Not even your lion or your speed can save you now. It’s over,” Erraz says.

Dayve takes a deep breath and releases an even more powerful fire release: lion’s roar. The attack, in the form of a thin ray this time, creates so much force along with a roaring bang. It blasts right through the big black ball creating a great explosion, heading for Erraz.

BOOOOMMMM!!!

Erraz, however, dodges the ray but Dayve, with his superb speed, appears above Erraz and straightaway knocks him down to the ground with a heavy force.

“Why?! Why?! So much power in just one guy,” Erraz grumbles as he staggers to stand. He rubs off the blood stain on his mouth and takes a deep breath. Dayve lands and dashes to strike him but Erraz quickly releases something which causes Dayve to shift back; it even gets some of the elite Royals’ attention, especially Phoenix and Darius.

“Darkness Style: Black orb,” Erraz says, forming a small sphere of dark clouds which releases a huge ball of fire wrapped with lightning sparks, swirling with immense wind pressure, the same fusion technique Kiiara used earlier. (Refer to Chapter Six).

“Unbelievable. To think, this young lad possesses the same black orb technique just like Neutrogena,” Phoenix says watching with his full attention.

Darius gets up from his seat and moves closer to the edge of the room to take a closer look at the match, watching it live not through the display screens. He seems quite amazed at this.

“This is incredible. This sure speaks of glory for Darkville,” Darius thinks to himself, smiling.

“Black Orb, the ability to create dark copies of other techniques. Though, he’s still in the first phase and so, cannot produce the same level of power with those techniques neither can he copy some very high level techniques nor can he create their dark variants. However, this is good progress,” he adds in his thoughts, touching his chin beard.

Back at the match…

“Incredible!! Who knew you were this talented, Erraz?!” Dayve says in amazement.

“Well…I’ve never really tested this out and don’t know if I can last any longer so I’m ending this as fast I can,” Erraz replies and sends the huge ball of fire and lightning against Dayve. Dayve’s consuming lion quickly rushes in and consumes the attack. When it does this, the size of the lion increases and the fire burns more radiantly.

“I guess it’s eaten to its fill for now. Time to let it go… in a bang,” Dayve says and sends the lion against Erraz. As the lion charges swiftly and fiercely against Erraz, with the black orb floating around his right shoulder, he releases huge volumes of water coupled with lightning against the lion.

“Elemental release: Flood of lightning.”

“I don’t have those special twin swords like Gerrar but I can at least copy it to this extent,” Erraz says to himself but gradually the water and lightning begin to fizzle off.

“Oh no. this is bad. I’m running out of energy too quickly as this is untested grounds I’m working with here. Damn it. This Dayve guy!!!” he yells within himself. Once the lion reaches him, he immediately fades out of there, appearing on another side of the stage but swiftly, Dayve appears behind him and says, “Way of Light: Binding rays.”

Immediately, various large rays of light are seen, horizontally pressing against Erraz’s body in a circular form rendering him immobile as the lion made of flames makes a turn and heads straight for him.

“Impossible!! Don’t tell me you learned that technique just after seeing it once? Because you seemed surprised when Gerrar used it earlier on,” Erraz utters, shocked and amazed.

“That’s right. As long I possess the element and understand the process, I should be able to reproduce it to some extent. I may not have a copying ability but at least I can do this,” Dayve replies with a smile.

Phoenix smiles while watching. “Impressive, to think he learned that just after experiencing it once. That’s an astounding intellectual capability,” he says to himself.

“He may not produce the same speed and tenacity at the moment in comparison to Gerrar’s, seeing as he just learned it but that Dayve sure learns fast. Fascinating,” Marcus comments.

Back at the match…

As the lion advances towards Erraz with Dayve now standing some distance at his front, a strip of memory flashes past his mind.

In Erraz’s flashback…

It is some moment before the tournament begins. He and Kiiara are having a conversation.

“Why do you push so hard, Kiiara?” he asks.

“What do you mean?” Kiiara replies with a question.

“Well… you don’t really possess any particular incredible skill like that however, you keep pushing so hard such that you even made it into this tournament. What happens when you face an insurmountable wall, an opponent so strong you’d feel so overwhelmed?” he inquires.

“Hmm… well, I can at least try to give it my all. No matter what, I’d use up my last energy knowing I tried all at least. That way, I can improve and be better. You’re asking, why I push so hard, right? Well, I’d say, sure, failure is hard and painful but don’t you think it’s worse never to have tried to succeed? If I give it my all, I’d have no regrets knowing I gave it my all and who knows, a miracle might just happen,” Kiiara responds and gives off an encouraging smile.

“You…,” Erraz says and pauses, looking at Kiiara with amazement.

“You are truly something, Kiiara Falcon. Your future, I’d like to see what you make of it,” he adds and chuckles.

“Then, enjoy this ride of life with me. Live each day, each moment, to the fullest,” Kiiara states.

“Interesting. Fine then, let’s make a bet also,” Erraz says and the flashback fades away.

Back to the present day,

As the lion in flames rapidly approaches Erraz from his left and Dayve stands some distance in front of him, Erraz gives off a smile which catches Dayve’s attention. Flames of fire start to discharge from Dayve’s right hand, wrapping it as he prepares his fist for any attack by Erraz.

“Live each moment to the fullest right? No need to worry about the next match for now. I’d rather focus all and win this one first. Never did I think I’d use this. Haha, thank you, Kiiara. I don’t even know what it is about but it just appeared in my head out of nowhere,” Erraz utters.

Just when the lion is inches away from making a hit, he says, “In darkness, let all cease, Darkness Style: Black Out.”

Suddenly, a powerful and mysterious wave of darkness is released from Erraz which sweeps across the entire arena, swiping off the binding rays, and the lion in flames, causing all of them to vanish. The wave extends past the shield providers even reaching the first level of the spectators in the large coliseum-like stadium. Echelone quickly retreats into the judges’ chambers in a haste, sensing great danger from the technique.

“That technique, I shouldn’t get caught in it. It has a weird vibe to it. It’s not about its power, more like the nature is quite formidable and mysterious,” Echelone says to himself.

Dayve tried to move to stop Erraz but got caught up in the technique and the flames in his hand vanished while he now stands, frozen, in a motion like gesture of someone about to move and throw a punch. Everyone hit by that darkness wave have been made immovable and seemingly unconscious while maintaining their standing or sitting position like time stopped just that it didn’t. Even the force fields rendered by the shield bearers have been put out by the technique.

The Royals are all surprised as is everyone in the entire stadium.

“Really unbelievable. This kid has the same black out technique again just like Neutrogena. This kid has the same darkness attributes with him. This generation… hmmm,” Phoenix says, looking surprised this time around.

“The future of this kid is certainly Emperor Class if he’s able to train hard,” Gray, King of Earthville, utters.

“Hahahaha,” Darius laughs.

“This is quite the show, isn’t it, my fellow Kings and Queens?” Darius gloats.

“This is my win, Phoenix. Once Erraz can gather some power, he’ll strike the finishing blow assuming Echelone doesn’t start his countdown and ends it,” he boasts.

“Echelone won’t be able to that,” Luxxi Hertz, Queen of Stormville, states, pointing back to the fighting platform where Erraz is seen lying on the ground, panting heavily.

“It’s down to who can get up and land the deciding hit,” Rouge, Queen of Psyville, says.

“That’s right. And that black out technique certainly depleted Erraz’s energy to the barest minimum if not zapping it all away. Also, I know for a fact that the technique has a time limit before those caught in it are released, probably about two to five minutes for his level and considering the amount of energy used too. That should be enough time for Erraz to recover a bit and win this round,” Darius thinks to himself.

“Wow!!! The two contestants are out of commission for the time being. The first to recover will have the opportunity of winning this!! Who will it be, Erraz or Dayve?!” the commentators scream.

Meanwhile, within Erraz’s consciousness, something strange is going on.

Within Erraz’s consciousness….

Everywhere is dark and void, only Erraz can be seen standing, looking lost.

“Where am I?” he inquires and immediately the entire area turns to white with a gigantic door behind Erraz and a mysterious being looking like a black silhouette of Erraz, is standing with its hands in its pockets.

“Huh? Who are you? Where am I? What happened?” Erraz asks, looking confused.

“Calm down, Erraz Dane. To answer your first question, I’ll ask a simple riddle. Everyone has it and no one can lose it, who am I?” the mysterious being replies.

“What? Umm…Shadow of course,” Erraz responds still wondering what’s going on.

“Correct. I am you and you are me. I am your Shadow. Given birth to as a result of the black cloak technique you earlier used. As for where you are, this is your consciousness, your mind, your soul. Due to lack of energy and you almost passing out, I managed to somehow drag you into this place within your mind. I must say, your energy level at the moment is so low, you can barely put up a fight,” the shadow being states.

“What? If you were just created, how come you sound so knowledgeable? What exactly do you want?” Erraz inquires.

“Well, I have all your memories and knowledge so far. As for I want, nothing much at the moment just to have a feel of your body. I’ll save you the embarrassment this time and grant you victory but that will be in exchange for your body. This means you’ll be trapped within this conscious room while I take charge of your body. Don’t worry, as it seems now I am more powerful than you are, so even a residual amount of energy will suffice for me,” the shadow being answers.

“Like hell I would!!! I don’t know you and you want to take over my body? I won’t allow it,” Erraz yells.

The shadow being walks past Erraz to the door behind him and says, “You seem to misunderstand some things. One, it is temporary. Two, it is not a request. Like I said, at the moment, I am stronger than you are. So sit here in this consciousness and watch as I draw out what is left of your already depleted energy.”

Erraz tries to move but is unable to; the massive door opens and the shadow being walks right through.

Back to the outside reality…..

Dark clouds once again begin to emanate from Erraz as he gradually stands to his feet. The dark clouds start to gather around his left fist, cladding it like a glove. His hair once again starts flowing upwards and his eyes are completely darkened except his pupils which glow purple.

The spectators are all astonished.

“What?! Did he have that much energy left?” Kiiara says, amazed at the fact that Erraz is on his feet and still about to attack.

“Was Erraz always this strong? This is amazing I must say,” Damian says, looking astonished.

“Hmm? I see. Most people here if not all, cannot see it, the existence of a shadow being within this young lad,” Phoenix says within himself, staring at Erraz as if he was looking into his soul.

“What’s the matter, dear?” Diana asks.

“It’s nothing, for now,” Phoenix replies.

“Hahaha. As I earlier said, this is my win,” Darius gloats also unaware of the shadow being.

However… simultaneously as Erraz was in his consciousness, so also was Dayve but Dayve’s was more of a flashback.

Dayve’s flashback…

Some years back, late in the night, Dayve is sitting by a riverside, looking at the stars in the sky. The grasses begin to rustle and he turns to see who it is.

“Haha. You got me,” a beautiful younger Kiiara, says.

Dayve chuckles and replies, “I wasn’t even looking for you.”

“Seems you enjoy the company of the stars now seeing as you’ve made looking up to them your hobby,” Kiiara says, moving closer to him.

“Heh. What do you mean? This has always been my hobby. Besides, as I am, powerless, I’m not sure I would be able to make that many friends plus there’s my father’s ‘wonderful’ reputation,” he responds.

Kiiara lays down on the grass and points to the sky.

“Can you count the stars, Dayve?” she asks.

“What? I’m sure there are close to an infinite number of them as the universe itself, in theory, is said to be ever expanding,” he replies.

“Well, yeah. You could’ve just said no but anyway the point is, as many stars as are out there, so are the number of possibilities waiting to happen. You don’t have to live your life based solely on how things may seem. You can still try and make things happen no matter how little. For with the tiny drops, an ocean is formed. It’s not until you have elemental powers before you become strong. You’re smart, you may not be able to display elemental abilities at the moment but you sure do excel at hand to hand combat plus who says the elemental energy won’t surface at all, huh? No matter the little skills or things you have, use it and become something great. If people don’t acknowledge you, be excited, prove them wrong. Forget about what people say concerning your father, I’ve always said it, you are not your father,” Kiiara responds.

“Wow, white bear, you sure do know how to talk. You should be a motivational speaker,” he says and laughs. (Sometimes Dayve calls Kiiara ‘White Bear’ because when she was much younger, she was usually seen with a white teddy bear).

“But that’s just the dose I needed at the moment,” he adds and smiles.

“Just call me Kiiara already. I’ve said this many times,” Kiiara murmurs, sighs and smiles.

“Ahh!!” Kiiara screams like she just remembered something and stands to her feet quickly.

“There’s this technique I came to discover while experimenting on my own. It’s a light release technique and I want us to train on it together. I was fortunate to inexplicably come across a scroll hidden in my father’s library regarding it, giving more explanation to it. You’re really smart, so I’m thinking you can help me out with it. I think it involves meditation and seals. Who knows it might also be of use to use and a miracle might just happen to your passive elemental powers,” she says.

“Hmm. Fine. I know you won’t let me rest anyway so I’ll train with you on this technique though I have no elemental powers so I’m not sure how much use I can be of to you,” Dayve replies.

“Blah blah. Let’s get on with it already,” Kiiara utters.

She brings out a scroll and they both read the scroll together. The scroll contains some writings on the intended technique. They both begin to study the technique and the writings as they meditate, practice and try to create some white light energy. Several days pass and after many trials, Kiiara finally makes headway. As she sits in her meditation form, with her palms joined together and her eyes closed, white light starts to emerge from her palms and gradually flows through her entire body. She opens her eyes and slowly begins to separate her palms. A small ball of white light begins swirling at the center of the space between her palms.

“Hah!!! Kiiara, you’re truly something. I think you’ve achieved the first step,” Dayve commends her.

“Thank you. I’m sure you can do it too. The light feels so warm running through me, it’s like my energy is getting rejuvenated,” Kiiara replies and the light soon fizzles out.

“However, that’s how long I can hold it for. Didn’t even last at all and that’s not even the main thing about this technique,” she adds.

They continue training day after day; Kiiara teaches Dayve how she got to that state and Dayve makes a good development after reading the scroll again, he practices through meditation and achieves the same feat like Kiiara but takes it even further, creating an enormous radiant display of white light. At that moment, his mind is enlightened and he experiences a revelation showing him the name and some attributes of the technique. (A revelation usually occurs when a new technique is learned, developed, awakened or advancement is occurring, either consciously or subconsciously).

“White bear, we’ve done it. It’s all thanks to you. I was even able to draw out light elemental energy. Thank you so much Kiiara, you are awesome. People just don’t know it yet,” Dayve says, smiling as the flashback fades off.

Back to present day, at the match…

“Yes I remember now. One of the writings of that technique. The light shines in darkness and darkness cannot stop it. This is the light of creation,” Dayve says within himself in that frozen state and light begins to emerge from his entire body.

“What is going on?! Just as Erraz recovered so has Dayve!!!” the commentators scream.

“What?!” Darius is surprised and not just him but the entire viewers as they give a loud cheer.

“What an awesome battle!!!” they shout.

“That technique, don’t tell me, that’s..,” Phoenix says within himself, carefully observing the battle. Saphix, one of the judges, is also enthralled by this.

Back at the match…

“Way of Light: Light of creation: Let there be light,” Dayve says within himself and immediately, rays of light rapidly discharge from Dayve and with a shattering effect, restores his mobility. He quickly moves his foot to check and twitches his fingers also.

“I’m back and with significant energy restored. Magnificent!!!” he says within himself.

“Don’t rejoice too soon,” Erraz says, with his voice now having a bit of echo.

“This is over. Darkness Style: Black Death,” he says and the dark clouds around his arms stiffen as he makes a quick run against Dayve to launch his final assault. Dayve quickly masks his right fist in flames and in an instance, while Erraz is still some distance away, executes a powerful shot which blows Erraz away, creating a resounding explosion.

“Lion’s Fury!!!”

BOOOOOMMMMMMMM!!!

The vertical shockwave of the blast which exuded just in front of Dayve, cut ten feet deep (10 ft) into the ground while the blast itself slammed Erraz twenty feet (20 ft) deep into the curved wall of the arena causing a great rumble to occur below the seats of the spectators. The pathway of the blast is shattered, creating a long crater between Dayve and Erraz. Erraz is lying unconscious deep within the twenty feet hole as Echelone begins his countdown.

“Wow! Did I just see Erraz about to use Black Death? Though, he didn’t get a chance to execute it. This kid, it seems I would personally take my time to train you. Though you’ve lost today but after such display, it’s no argument that you are a true prince of darkness,” Darius says within himself, holding his chin, grinning and chuckling.

“Dayve, how did you learn that technique? Light of creation, only a handful know that skill and only a handful of that handful can perform it. That is a heavenly skill. Just see how a bit of it changed the battle. Who exactly taught that to you?” Phoenix thinks to himself.

Echelone ends his countdown and declares Dayve the winner as the commentators announce, shouting, “Wow!!! What an unexpected display of pure genius and brilliance from both opponents!!! A final before the final, one can say. Dayvelion Blaze is the winner of this incredible group!!! Also we apologize for those caught up in Erraz’s technique. Stronger shield bearers have been put in place though we’ve been clarified it was not a matter of shield bearers. Thank you all. We await the final group match while the fighting stage is repaired.”

“Those two… Erraz and Dayve, my body gets excited just thinking about fighting them. Unbelievable,” Damian says and smiles. All the other contestants are astounded especially for the fact that they never knew Erraz had such bewildering abilities.

Before exiting the stage, Dayve stands and looks all the way up to Kiiara who in turn, using her eagle eyes, looks back at him. (The Royal viewing room is at the top of the spectators seating space in the stadium that contains over a million number of people)

“Thank you Kiiara. If I hadn’t met you, I’d probably still be stuck and if you didn’t show me that at that time, I would have lost this battle. As I usually say, you are truly something. In the midst of darkness, you inspire, you bring hope, like a dazzling flame of light. People don’t know it yet but they will. The future you’ll choose, that, I want to see,” Dayve says within himself and smiles at Kiiara, as his long full hair having just three remaining twists at the end, flows with the wind sweeping across.

Kiiara smiles back, bumping her right fist on her chest.
