《Project: Massacre》Chapter 6: Cloning

“How can we stop them?” Zayne asked.
“We don’t,” said Matt.
“What do you mean, we don’t?”
“I mean that it is impossible to stop them. They have already progressed too far, besides, they are probably planning on destroying Neptune right now.”
“Can’t we just leave Pluto?”
“I’m sorry to inform you, but they closed all communication with the other planets awhile ago…”
“Yeah but we can still leave, I can buy a space shuttle with the remaining money from my parent’s insurance,” said Zayne.
“No we can’t leave, they have all of the planet’s exits sealed off, so no one but Gordite officials can leave. Zayne, we are stuck here, and there is absolutely nothing we can do to save ourselves.”
“Don’t you think the other planets would notice if the communication was lost?”
“Oh I’m sure they noticed, but Pluto is just a dwarf planet, they don’t care about us. Pluto doesn’t have as much economic value as the other planets.”
“If they really wanted to kill the whole planet, why didn’t they just destroy the heat source on Charon, our moon?” Zayne asked.
To colonize each planet scientists had to change the gas and heat levels. To change the heat level of a planet they put a heat source on one of the moons so that the planet would not be all ice.
“They didn’t destroy the heat source because simply is impossible to do so. The most intelligent scientists on Earth went into a room and figured out how to make a heat source that would never break. The Gordites have already tried to break it, it just isn’t possible. It can withstand an infinite amount of pressure, and it somehow it doesn’t burn the moon or the planet,” said Matt.

“Ok, but why didn’t I die when I was injected with the death injection?”
“To kill us Gordites it takes much more effort. A simple heart stopper injection isn’t strong enough to kill us, but it can kill an average human.”
“Ok, that’s it we need to stop the Gordites that are in the government before they kill us. Can I do the clone thing?” asked Zayne.
“You have always been able to do it, but you just didn’t know how. To clone someone you have to focus all of your energy and think about the person you want to clone. You have to do this for 2 minutes. Then, you start to transfer into the clone of that person. Someone once told me I looked constipated when I tried to clone for the first time.”
“Ok, I’ll try it but I’m going to be complete trash.”
“Oh and for the first couple of times the body can look distorted,” said Matt.
Zayne tried to make a clone of Matt. This was easier because Matt was right in front of him, and he could visualize him easily. Zayne stared at Matt for 5 minutes, and nothing happened.
“Nothing is happening, this is hopeless…” said Zayne.
“Oh come on you have to be patient, try again.”
“Ugh fine.”
Zayne once again tried to picture Matt in his head, and this time he was half successful. Only the lower half of Matt’s body was cloned, so when Zayne went into the body he panicked. He couldn’t see or breath, and everything was black. He pictured his own body and went back. Going back from a cloned body is almost instant, but cloning a body takes about 2 minutes without any training.
Next, Zayne tried to clone Professor Vallard. It was harder to clone him because he wasn’t there, and Zayne was cloning based off of memory. This time he was twice as successful, and 2 Professor Vallards appeared.

“Um… Matt, why are there 2 Vallards?”
“Ok, so this has never happened before, um… can you switch between them?”
“Wait, I can almost instantly switch between the clones. I can kind of tell the other one what to do. I can tell it to mirror the clone I am controlling or I can tell it to walk forward or other commands.
Zayne wanted to mess with Matt so he picked him up with both of the Vallards.
“Zayne put me down!”
“Ok, fine, but you need to chill man.”
Zayne switched back into himself, and he deleted the Professor Vallard from his mind, and the clones disappeared.
“Why were there two clones?” Zayne asked.
“I have no idea, but you seem to be a natural. I wonder if you can do more than 2 clones..." said Matt.

Founding of Humanity - Animalist
This is the dawn of the age of mankind. It is time to push back the wilderness and establish the kingdoms and empires that will govern this land. Players, the elect of the gods, are now coming to help humanity fight back. The dark ages are ended, and now is the time to lay the foundation! Now is the time to establish civilization! This is the Founding of Humanity! I am building this world for my own amusement, releases are not on any kind of schedule. I got to thinking "what if a beast tamer was changed by what they tamed" and this game mechanic sprung to mind. I do not know where this story is going. The main character is becoming a skill hoarder, as that is an advantage of the class design. The game system in this story is insipred by Log Horizon and Sword Art Online, where you get a skill and that is the skill, instead of getting a skill and then leveling it through tiers and rankings.
