"Ezzzraaaaa! What are you doing there?"

The shout of a crazy girl named Alice was heard by everyone around them as she skips towards him.

"Nothing, Just observing our surroundings. But, Alice, I can't believe that you could stay cheerful even if we are already in a dire situation."

Its been 20 minutes since his Qingyue talked to him and by now, the whole rooftop and third floor was searched by them. The result isn't something to be jovial about, they were so hungry that a lot of them starts to feel weak and dizzy.

"Its just that, being sad and angry wouldn't help and make me full either way so I'll rather annoy you as much as possible to satisfy my ego."

Alice proudly said this and smiled wildly with a hint of teasing. If this was a normal day with a normal situation, everyone might take this chance to stare at her smile as much as they want, but, now that even the thought of making their heads move bothered them that much, so what more in staring at a moving woman smiled while skipping.

Ezra didn't bother with her anymore after he heard her vexing response. Instead, he looked at the students who were struggling on walking and made a casual remark.

"The sudden earthquake and deaths of other people shocked them, the moment they found out about how we transferred from our place to a unidentified world haunts their mind every second, and now, the fact that they're hungry and couldn't eat at all due to unavailability of food were like an asteroid that fall down and wreck their world. The gravity of this situation is so hard to bear specially for us, who were used to living a life of no worry, a life where a single swipe of a card could fix it all. Everyone weren't even certain if they could last tomorrow, or didn't even have the courage to face it. I wonder, what'll happen next at this juncture."

Everyone who heard him mutters, lowered their heads maybe from shame of the fact that they're really afraid that this is all true and not a dream, or lowered their heads because unlike him who contemplates about such things, they didn't do anything but complain and cry knowing that everyone is hungry just like them. Either way, This musing helps everyone to muster their courage, one by one, they stood up and observe their surroundings for chance that they missed a certain clue that'll help them from the predicament.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

It was at this moment, that they heard a shout that was full of fear.

"Who is that?"

"It seems that it came from the floor below us."

"The third floor? Did they found food?"

"Idiot they didn't need to shout if they found food."

"Then is it an accident?"

"Okay guys stop bickering, How about we take a look at them to know what happen rather than figuring it out using our mouths."

Qingyue stops the gossiping and suggests a thing that everyone instantly agreed with.

*BANG*

Just when they are about to reach the door, it suddenly opened and a guy who were sweating hard and panicking came out. Before he could even run, he was forcefully dragged back by rotting hands without being able to resist.

"HEEEEEELP! HEEELP MEEEE! AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!"

Everyone at the rooftop were stunned by this scene and couldn't help but take a mouthful of breath unconsciously. The screams dampen in a short while but they're still standing on the same spot and was shocked senseless.

"TAKEESHI!"

A girl called out to the guy who were dragged back strangely and was about to run towards him when Ezra holds her back while shaking.

"Wait! Stop! Wha-at is that? He-ey, are yo-you fucking kidding me?"

Although they have a hunch on what they saw, specially on this place where its existence is a strange things itself, much more on what exists in it, still, they refused to believe the thing that they catch their sight on.

Ezra, without everyone detecting, slowly stepped back, as he was in the front, he couln't move in a large strides to avoid anyone noticing. Although his mind is still refusing the absurd and scary thought that his eyes is telling him, his instincts were screaming that he should run.

"AAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH"

The silence was broken when the girl that called 'Takeshi' earlier couldn't handle the pressure anymore and shriek. As if it was heard by the creature earlier, a hand suddenly came out from the door slowly, followed by its head, then its body.

The eyes of everyone was glued to the creature without blinking, their breaths was holded in fear and their hearts thumps loudly as if wanting to break free from their chests.

When the creature looked at them, a student with a very weak personality runned instantly away from them while screaming. As if it was the trigger that everyone is waiting for, they also ran away in a chaotic manner and pushes who was in front of them making those students fall down.

"RUUUUUUUNN"

"GET OUT OF MY WAY!"

"AHHHHHHHHHH"

"HELLLLLP! MONSTEEEER"

Ezra, who was one of the students who ran first due to his instincts, couldn't help but turned his head back and look at the creature.

'It re-really was a zombie!'

With fear, he observe the zombie carefully and his eyes contrict when he notice something unusual about it. He stopped running and was surpassed by every other students, who didn't give a damn about him wanting to die.

'It moves so slow, just like a walking elder in a garden'

He held himself back from shaking and use this chance to inspect him carefully.

'Bloodied face, It looks like he just died. A part of his head seems missing and has a red colored eyes, its lips was rotting and the teeth could be seen in the gaps was full of blood and there was something like a flesh that was hanging on it. Enormous amount of flesh that is obviously caused by a bite could be seen everywhere on its body. Its legs were limping for unknown reason. Maybe it is broken or maybe thats the way on how it works. I don't know at all but still, from the way that it grabbed that person called Takeshi earlier, It seems that it could exert a strength that was much stronger than an average muscular adult.'

Ezra looked at his classmate that was running towards the rooms in the corner then looked back at the zombie. He didn't realize that he is now too calm compared to them, and this reaction wasn't supposed to be the way one would have when a zombie appears.

'It is still around 40 meters away from me, and it is alone. The Takeshi guy should be a zombie as well, but why didn't he appears when someone shriek earlier, a time interval between death and zombification? I didn't saw and observe the speed of it arms earlier but it shouldn't be that fast, his legs wouldn't be able to support the inertia of it arms if it moves with a rapid sudden pace. Should I test its speed first? Maybe, I could kill it.'

Everyone is trying to hide in the rooms fighting who would enter first except for 2 person. Qingyue, who was also panicking and is also one of the first students who reacts earlier than the rest, She noticed something strange too because aside from terrified screams, the sound of someone dying or so didn't reach her ears. So she looked back with caution and found Ezra, who was in the middle of them and the zombie alone. She couldn't help but gasp and wants to call him out when she discern something inappropriate. Ezra's countenance, it was too calm, and his eyes, were too terrifying, the way that it looked at the zombie, was like how a human looked at an ant. She felt like in Ezra's eyes, the zombie would perished in an instant.

The other person was Alice. Her face was the same as Ezra when it looked at the zombie, but when it turned at him, she couldn't help but smile gently and nodded her head in satisfaction.

"Ezra, You really are----"
