《One Big Happy Vampire Family》Chapter Nine

I was pissed so I just began running until my legs couldn't carry me anymore. I ran for almost an hour before arriving a pretty creepy alley in the opposite side of town. I sat down against a box somewhere in the middle before repeatedly hitting my hands on the ground until they were bloody.
My sadness soon turned into regret and then into anger.
At first, I didn't believe it was his fault but after a short time, I realized that it was. If he didn't bite me I wouldn't have got in trouble and ran away.
He's like the firefighter who starts the fire just to put it out and seem like the hero. He killed a man before he bit me and I just forgot that small detail! If my blood didn't hurt him, I might have been dead along with him!
I snap of my thoughts when a shadowy figure speed runs in front of me and his fangs come out.
"Mark Anthony?" I ask backing up slightly in fear.
His fangs retract and the bloodlust in his eyes goes away, "Riley? Why aren't you with Daniel?"
"Because I lashed out at him..." I say standing up just in case I have to try to fight for my life, "And told him to go away."
"Oh. Well, when are you going back to the house?"
"Never probably, I'm pissed at Daniel," I say glancing down at the puny puddle of blood my knuckles are creating under me, "I'll find somewhere else to sleep."
Mark Anthony rolls his eyes at me for the first time I've met him, "Okay, how about you come home with me and wash up and we'll talk this over some more."
"What's with you guys and talkinggg?"

"After three hundred years you get good at it," He says as he pulls a handkerchief out of his back pocket before easily ripping in half and wrapping it around my hands.
Somehow that conversation led me back to the house and to his room. After taking a shower and getting my knuckles cleaned up, it was eight in the afternoon and I could hear the party downstairs start to get wild.
There was loud techno music, the smell of cheap beer, and the voices of tons of people, the exact opposite of what I expected.
"Want to join the party?" Mark Anthony asks fixing his hair in the large mirror he has in his closet, "It might help you calm down."
"Why not." I say pulling my freshly blow-dried hair into a ponytail before making my way to the door.
Before I can open the door Mark Anthony speed runs in front of me, "I'll come and find you in a couple hours before the rest of the vampires we invited arrive so you don't get hurt."
"How come you could handle being around my bloody hands but Daniel tried biting me when I got a tiny paper cut?"
"That's out of nowhere." He says raising his eyebrow, "It's because your blood smells tainted to me. Plus, I wouldn't want to hurt someone as pretty as you."
I feel my cheeks grow hot so I push past him and I open the door before speedwalking out.
As I'm walking away I hear a soft chuckle from behind me which makes my cheeks grow even redder.
"Damn, why do the men in Daniel's family have to be so fucking hot?"
Mark Anthony breaks out laughing from his room, "You said that out loud Riley!"

I groan in embarrassment as I quicken my walk downstairs to avoid the situation becoming even more awkward.
The second I reach downstairs I spot Daniel in the crowd so I make a b-line in the opposite direction from him which happens to be the kitchen where most of the alcohol is being stored.
Surprisingly enough there are only a couple people in here and none of them are the vampires I recognize so I get a beer off the counter before jumping up on one of the empty counters.
I spent the almost three hours drinking and eating all the snacks all by myself before Mark Anthony came and got me.
"S-sadly enough this is the most fun I've had in a long time." I say slurring my words ever so slightly, "Thanks!"
I hope off the counter and almost fall but he catches me, "Woah there."
I don't know why alcohol and emotions do this to me but once he helps me up my brain decides to have me kiss him... with tongue...
The thing is he didn't pull back right away and when he did he drunkenly laughed, "Come on Riley, let's get you back to the room before you do something you'll really rrregret in the morning."
I tried walking but I was too drunk too so Mark Anthony carried me back to his room. After taking my shoes off he put me in bed but my drunk and emotional mind escalated things and in the morning I woke up with a hangover, clinging to Mark Anthony's amazing naked body.
