I used the tip Daniel gave me about my breathing so that Mark Anthony thought I was still sleeping because I could tell he was already awake and I didn't want to have the awkward conversation that's sure to come. 

After a couple minutes of pretending, my headache gets so bad that I give up. I pretend to wake up and be "surprised" that we're in bed together by pulling on my best surprised face but not moving my arms away from his chest just yet.

Mark Anthony tries to find his words but he gives up and bows his head, "I'm sorry Riley..."

I let go of him and I sit up, "If I remember correctly, I came onto you so I'm sorry!"

"You're sixteen and I'm over three hundred years old, I should have handled my alcohol better and been the adult in the situation." He says standing up, wrapping a sheet around his bottom half.

I slide out of bed before quickly putting my clothes back and turning to Mark Anthony who's working to put his clothes on, "How about we forget this ever happened?"

"Works for me." Mark Anthony says disappearing into his bathroom.

The second the bathroom door closes I pull my socks and shoes on before speed walking out of the room.

I never thought that's how my first time would be and definitely not who I thought it would be with. 

I groan lightly as I make my way down the stairs and towards the front door, ignoring the red cups littered everywhere and the small blood smudges on the walls and floor. 

I quite literally jump out of my skin when I feel a hand clamp onto my shoulder, spinning me around. 

When I turn around I'm faced with a rather ugly man with dark brown hair and small beady brown eyes. Before I can say anything he's sinking his fangs into my neck.

After a moment of sucking, he falls to the ground and he forces himself to puke before turning to me, "I'll kill you for that!!"

"No, you won't." A voice says coming from the kitchen, "No ones touching her."

When he appears I'm confused, it's Darius. He's the last person I thought would be saying that.

"Run." Darius says to the guy who gladly speed runs away. 

I reach up and I grab my neck angrily, it took almost two weeks for the last bite marks to go away.

Before I can turn away Darius speed runs in front of me, "Were you with Daniel?"

I shake my head, "No, I was just sleeping."

Darius nods lightly before slowly walking away, picking up cups as he does. I take this opportunity to get out of the house and down the street to a nearby park that's surprisingly empty for twelve in the afternoon. 

I sit down on one of the swings and I begin swinging thinking about what I should do next. I've basically ruined my shot to return to my foster dad's and I had to sleep with the only person in the house who still likes me. 

"I'm always fucking ruining stuff!" I scream at the top of lungs before jumping off the swings, landing a few feet away, tripping, and falling on my ass. 

I lie down on my back before looking up at the clouds. Maybe I can sleep here tonight, this isn't that bad. There's a public portapotty at the top of the park, a water fountain at one side of the park, and a nice comfy jungle gym at the center. Plus, this is a really rich neighborhood so it's unlikely I'll get stabbed while I'm sleeping unless there's a rich serial killer out there.

I'm just glad it has warmed up and all the snow has melted but I much rather be asleep in a real bed. My prayers are answered when a cop walks over and hovers above me.

"You're Riley aren't you?" She asks glancing down at her phone for a mere second.

I go to jump up and run away but she handcuffs as fast as she can.

"Your father called us to let us know that you were still in the area." She says pulling me towards the cop car, "And here you are."

"Take me to the police station," I say dropping my head, "I want to report an abuse."
