《One Big Happy Vampire Family》Chapter Eight

Almost two weeks past and I lived in that house, not going to school. I got used to the threats everyone gave me on a regular basis about killing me or drinking my blood. No one actually carried them out though. Mostly because Daniel was stronger than almost everyone but Mark Anthony and he didn't care to hurt me.
Nothing happened with Daniel and me after our almost kiss was ruined by the murderous Darius and depressed Kendra which is actually kind of sad.
I had the chance to kiss an extremely hot vampire and the moment was ruined by two of the meanest people in the house. Assholes.
My sleep schedule has been pretty messed up as recently so when I wake up it's probably seven in the afternoon.
I laugh as I roll over in bed which makes Daniel jump up from where he's sitting on the floor with a book in his hands, "Why are you laughing?"
"I don't really remember," I say sitting up, still smiling, "But it must have been hilarious."
Daniel lowers his voice even though it doesn't matter that much, seeing that all vampires have amazing hearing abilities, "It was probably Darius's face, it's hilariously ugly."
I burst out laughing, "Good one Daniel."
I wipe the tears of joy after from my eyes as he takes a bow, "I know right, it only took me fifty years to come up with that one. I've been waiting forever to use that one."
"Now your life goal is complete." I say crawling out of bed before throwing the stuffed animals that fell on the floor while I was sleeping, back onto the bed.
"Speaking of life goals, my family is throwing a party tonight. Want to come with me?"

"That's one of your life goals?" I ask with a raised eyebrow.
Daniel shakes his head, "No buttt I needed a transition. So is that a yes?"
"What type of party is it exactly? Anything fancy?"
Daniel nibbles on his lip for a moment in hesitation, "Well... we invite over a hundred humans and we er.. ah.. feed on them... So yeah, not fancy at all."
"Well, I don't go to parties and I don't have anything to wear to said party." I say totally avoiding that he invited me to party where humans lose their blood.
Daniel shrugs, "Fine, we'll go get your clothes from that asshole's house."
"But he's home all day today..." I say dropping my head.
He reported me as a runaway about a week ago and told the cops to be careful because I'm dangerous.
"Does it look like I care?" Daniel asks walking towards me, "What's he gonna do? Kill me?"
I raise my head back up, "I guess you're right... But."
Daniel puts his finger on my lips shutting me right up, "No buts, we're gonna get your stuff whether you like it or not."
Daniel gives me a reassuring smile before grabbing my hand and speed running me out of the house and down the street.
I'm still not used to him doing that. The speed run thing tires him out faster but he likes to get places faster than not so he does it a lot.
It's only a five minute run to my house where my foster mom's and dad's cars are meaning that they're both home.
"We can go through your bedroom window to avoid everyone." Daniel says as he holds onto me as I let my dizzyness fade away slowly.

"Only one problem with that, my room doesn't have a window."
"Welp guess we're going through the front door." Daniel says pushing past me and to the front door.
He doesn't knock or anything and he justs walks in so I run in after him.
The second we walk in I'm bombarded with questions and jabs about running away. Daniel shows no emotion as we walk through the four kids and upstairs towards my bedroom.
Once I push the door open my jaw drops, "All my stuff is gone!"
The twin bed I slept on along with all my clothes and my bookbag are gone. Jake and Jack's stuff now cover my section of the room.
I turn around before walking straight up to the oldest kid who's turning fourteen soon, "Where's my stuff?!"
He breaks out laughing, "Dad threw it all away the day after you ran away."
I take off in a bolt downstairs and out of the house to avoid killing someone before dropping down to my knees and crying.
Daniel's by my side almost instantly.
I shake my head, "I should never have stayed at your stupid house!! Now all my stuff is long gone!!"
"I can buy you all new stuff if you'd like." Daniel says looking down at his feet.
"YOU DON'T UNDERSTAND DANIEL! YOU CAN'T BUY ME BACK WHAT I LOST!" I scream as tears pour down my face, "Just go away!"
"Fine." Daniel says before disappearing as fast as he arrived.
If Bec is right and all my stuff is gone, so is the picture I kept of my older brother Josh who died when I was eleven, almost five years ago.

Ghosts Over the Forest
Anya is bored and lonely. Her friends have gone away to summer camp and she is left alone in her tiny forest village. When she meets Gabriel, the boy whose family has moved in next door, it seems that she has made a new friend. But all is not well in the village. Disciple Phobia, (pictured on the cover) an exceptionally evil spirit and a villain from one of my dystopian universes, manages to break through into Anya's world and her nefarious agenda of universal destruction threatens everyone. Can Anya and Gabriel race against time to defeat Phobia? For time is running out and if they fail, it's the end of everything. And Anya is not all she seems. Gabriel may suspect more about her than she knows about herself, but he isn't telling her. Why not? This story is set in a parallel universe with less advanced technology than our own, in a forest that is meant to resemble old rural Saxony. Notice the way Anya talks, she sometimes addresses people as "Dear (insert their name)" Other slang will be explained at the end of each chapter.
