The chance at free dessert wasn't something Cassie was going to let slip her by, although she didn't want to have to stand for so long in order to make it. Thankfully, Akihiko offered to do all that for her while she just supplied the ingredients. Akihiko read the recipe multiple times before he was ready to start cooking, he handed the paper to Cassie and she looked at it.

"Are you sure this is going to taste good?" Akihiko nodded as he got the pineapple from the fridge.

"You don't like mushy foods, but it's really sweet so that might make up for it." Cassie nodded to him.

"Speaking of which, why not just make me cookies or something? That'd be easier and guarantee to be good in my book."

"Yeah, but what's so bad about a little variety here and there?" Besides the fact that you're cooking pineapple in the oven? "Besides, you're always saying how you want something different so, here you go." Cassie smiled at him as Akihiko started on making the cake.

"I decorate it though?" He smiled endearingly.

"Of course." Cassie giggled to herself and watched as he began adding the flour to the mix and was stirring it slowly. Cassie wondered what a domestic life with him would be like, her mind wondered and she felt like she was slipping from reality thinking about how 'perfect' her life would be if she just gave up and went out with him.

"Cassie?" She snapped from this.

"Yeah?"

"Someone's at the door and my hands are dirty."

"Oh," She got up and figured it was just someone trying to sell her something, and she thought wrong. Instead it was Brayleigh. The hell? She gave him a smile however.

"What are you doing here?"

"I was calling you, but then I remembered you keep your phone on silent, but I really wanted to talk to you."

"About what?"

"It's a song I'm making, I could really use your help in making sure the lyrics sound alright."

"Sure, I could do that no problem... but is this just something you made or are you getting paid for it?"

"I'm getting paid, it's gonna be on an album! I can't believe they asked me to do this!" Cassie smiled as she was happy for him, but a small part of her wanted to know who the company was, but before she could say that Akihiko called for her.

"Cassie? Where's the brown sugar?"

"Is that Aki?"

"Yeah, he's making a cake with me." More like he's baking a cake for me.

"Well maybe I can help." Two guys and a cake? Cassie smiled as she walked to the kitchen when she saw Akihiko looking up.

"It should be in that cabinet at the very top." Akihiko nodded and went to look for it, Cassie took a seat and when Akihiko looked back he saw Brayleigh and smiled.

"That's why Cassie was talking a lot."

"It wasn't to a stranger for sure." Brayleigh went to the counter. "What's this cake though?"

"Something Cassie hasn't tried before, upside down Pineapple cake."

"Sounds gross." Right?

"You've never had this before either?" Brayleigh nods. "Well guess I'll be fixing this for you both then." Akihiko said with a sigh.

"Well I was hoping I could make a part of it. I don't like to have others just do everything for me."

"Well, I guess you can make the other half of it. We're following a recipe so I have no idea if this is even right." Brayleigh went over to Cassie, she handed him the paper and he quickly read it over.

"Speaking of which, is this what you were talking about the other day?" Akihiko looked up, "Remember you were telling me about taking a sick day from school so you could hang out with-"

"W-well it could be that, but I doubt it. Me and Cassie just settled on today and I just so happened to be off today." Right? I didn't know about this day off, but I can assume something like that is the truth.

"Panic voice aside, I'd take a sick day off if I was gonna spend it with Cassie too, so you're not exactly alone." Brayleigh said.

"Should we really be saying this in front of Cassie?" Thank you.

"Well, does it bother you Cassie? After all, we're all friends. Friends are supposed to hang out with each other." Cassie smiled at him, Yeah, but with you two that takes on a whole other meaning.

"I mean, if you all like to hang out with me that's fine then." They both smiled.

"See?" Brayleigh then got up, "Now, what part am I taking?" Cassie stared at them as they talked to each other. Are open relationships alright... would they even be alright with one? Oh shit, what if they say screw me and just go for each other? She then covered her mouth to hide a laugh, she held up the paper to block her face as she tried to calm down.

"Cassie?" She managed to relax by this point. "What's funny?"

"Nothing, I just got a bit distracted." Their expressions said they didn't believe her, but she said nothing else and they had to move on. Rest assured, Cassie would never be able to ask them something like that and kept it to herself.
