《The Parasite in Cultivator World》Chapter 2: Yu Min and Parasite

Each day Yu Min was following a special routine which Parasite had planned. In the beginning it was hard for parasites to force Yu Min to spend more time studying. But as soon as Yu Min began to see the result he got excited about this.
“You are getting huge satisfaction from meditating and increasing your cultivation. You like to practice the ‘Crushing Fist Technique’. You can achieve more than others if you practice enough” - Parasite understood that thoughts which are based on guilt can work only in the short term. But for the long term Parasite is required to use positive emotions which should appear whenever the host is doing what is needed.
The routine of the Yu Min was In the beginning Yu Min was getting up and going to the mines to work off his 10 hours assignment. After the assignment he quickly went home. For the first several months he was spending all time cultivating. In the beginning it was just 8 hours of cultivation. However, when he began to grow in his cultivation level he required much less sleep.
With each day Yu Min could cultivate much longer while his amount of sleep was decreasing. In addition, he became much more productive in mines and due to this Inner Disciple who was responsible for the mine proposed him one deal. In reality it was not required to work for 10 hours in the mine. It is possible to decrease the time if a person can provide 1 full trolley of QI Crystals. For the disciple who was on the 1st level of QI Formation it was very hard to fill in even one trolley in 10 hours. Cultivator on the 1st level of cultivation doesn’t really differ much from mortal. Such a cultivator is only 10% stronger and faster as well as can recover a little bit faster. However, each additional level was increasing power of the cultivator gradually up to level 5. Beginning from level 5 the increase in the abilities was even higher. Due to this for the Yu Min who began to break through it became easier to provide one trolley. When he reached level 5 he was able to provide one trolley in just 5 hours. Which gives him the capability to spend more time cultivating.

Day by day, night by night Parasite was getting better at controlling Yu Min mind. It was able to substitute thoughts about mortal needs with thoughts which Parasite needed. - “You are doing a great job. Your cultivation is quickly improving. You can practise more with ‘Crushing Fist’ and you can feel that you become more experienced. You will have a chance to participate in a tournament this year” - Parasite understands that the more Yu Min is concentrated on training and meditation, the more effective those are. In the beginning Yu Min was accidentally stopping his meditation or making mistakes when he was practising technique, due to some basic needs like getting to the toilet or eating something or speaking with friends. Now he could much longer neglect those needs, which allow him to get deeper in meditation and in practice.
Just in half a year he achieved level 4 cultivation. However, it was not due to the fact that his talent became better. All this was achieved, because the parasite was destroying Yu Min potential little by little. Cultivation is like filling a big bottle with energy. Each person has a different size of the bottle . Some have very small bottles and thus they were not able to achieve higher realms, due to lack of energy and some have very big bottles which were not always good. While those people couldn’t fill it fully and due to this could’t break to the next realm. In other words, bottles represent the potential. But each person could gather a specific amount of energy and that would depend on the bottle's neck. If it is too narrow, the cultivator will not be able to gather enough energy. And that was the case for Yu Min and all his level 1 friends.
However, Parasite was able to make a holes in the bottle which would allow it to gather more energy from around. And those holes were made near the top of the. In other words, on the low level Yu Min was able to gather more energy. But when the energy in his bottle reaches those holes he will not be able to gather more energy. The energy would instead pour out of those holes. Parasite knew about this and was ready to start recovering the Fundament of Yu Min later, but still it will not be able to help Yu Min to make his fundamental ideal. If you broke something and used glue to repair those, still cracks would be there.

While the first half year Parasite forced Yu Min to spend on cultivation, the second half of year was divided between cultivation and technique which was provided by the sect. All cultivators who were accepted by the Dark Scy sect receive a technique which is called “Crushing Fist”. This is the most basic technique which could be used by cultivators on the QI Formation Realm.
This technique was mainly focused on concentration of energy in the fists of the user to release it afterwards. But it wouldn’t be a full technique if it was only concentration of energy. This technique also shows different stances in which this energy could be released in the most effective way. While technique was providing different stands it was as well describing basic leg movement. In other words, a disciple was required to learn three stages of this technique. Contraction of energy in fist, release energy in different stands, and the last release energy in motion. Most students in the sect have learned the first stage and some have begun the second stage. But the third stage required much practice and very few students could really spend time on that.
Students one the 1st level can perform only 1-2 energy attacks and then they would be required to meditate for the rest of the day just to recover the energy to be able to perform their daily duties. However, with higher levels and more practice it is possible to control how much energy would be released, which allows for more practice.
Due to this when Yu Min reached level 4 he began to spend some time practising this technique. While technique was very basic any person who practised it for long enough may accidently find that energy could be concentrated not only in fists, but in any part of the body as well. If a Cultivator without energy on level 5 hit another person, the punch would be 50% stronger than of a simple morta one, while cultivators are instinctively directing energy into specific body parts, but the amount of energy is not so big. However, if the cultivator is using a special technique, the amount of energy is increasing proportionally. In other words, a punch can be 3-4 times stronger than that of a simple mortal.
With “Crushing Fist” technique even cultivators on level 9 QI Formation realm can be heavily injured. Thus, technique was as well showing basic leg movement, not only for attacking opponents, but as well for dodging attacks. And in the worst case scenario if cultivator is not able to dodge that then he would release energy from the body part which is currently being attacked and thus decrease or even neglect the effect. However, such manipulation would require higher concentration and better energy control. Due to this dodging still was better for those who had problems with control.
