《Lola's Birthday Wish》chapter 17: The Lola Loud Affair

What happens when you combine the mind of a brilliant woman in her thirties with the childish mentality of a seven year old?
A very cunning an imaginative criminal mastermind.
The necklace that caused Tatiana to switch bodies with Lola was being held in the San Francisco museum of natural history. Lola needed this necklace to break the spell, so that necklace was going to have to be stolen.
Lola had no moral qualms about this.
worse, she was currently a billionaire. And had all the resources she needed to pull off such a theft.
It all started with a scary looking man sitting in the park.
..............
Lola went to the park right after her meeting with sally. She needed an accomplice. Someone who was crazy enough, dumb enough or just plain nasty enough to assist her in a theft.
And as Lola's cunning mind worked a dark and terrifying voice perked up beside her.
"So I hear your looking for someone special."
Lola looked to her right and saw a guy dressed in all black. He wore a black suit in a black trench coat and tie. His hair was light brown and her had a charming smile and a slight southern accent.
"A friend, and ally...someone who can grant even your darkest hearts desire. A demon..." he said as he stared straight ahead of him with that charming look on his face.
"I have power. Actually, its not so much a power as it is a virus. I was born with it you see, the damn thing nearly makes up my entire being. With it I can alter my very dna. I can change my physical form, make myself look like anyone, turn my hands into weapons. Anything you can possibly imagine and I can become it." he chuckled with black joy.
Lola's blood went cold as she stared at this terrifying man.
"Invisibility is a good one. Telepathy is one of mine too. I can read peoples deepest thoughts and desires......They call me Pariah. It means outcast. And from what I'm hearing inside your head, I reckon your looking for someone with power ain't you?"
The man turned his head, looked straight into Lolas soul, and burst out laughing.
"OH my god! I'm so sorry, I didn't even see you there! Don't panic, I'm just rehearsing for a part." The man pulled out a script with PARIAH written at the top. "Jesus, I must have scared the hell out of you."

Then it was Lola's turn to laugh as she clutched her chest. "Your darn right you did. I think you just took off years of my life. What kind of sick movie are you reading for?"
"Ah, its some kind of video game where you shoot zombies or something. Prototype 3. I'm auditioning for the final boss."
"Wait a minute! I know you!. Your Matthew McConaughey!"
"I am."
Lola squealed like a little girl and shook his hand.
After autographs were exchanged, Matt explained that he had just come from a commercial for mens cologne. Hence, his very matrix looking attire.
"Yeah, being an actors great and all. I love the fame, the fans, representing something positive for young artists and being able to have enough money to support important causes in a meaningful way."
"I donated a wing at the San Francisco history museum!"
"Really?!"
"Yep. Its called the Tiche Gallery. I do things like that....Cuz I'm rich."
"Whoa. Thats awesome. What a great way to help the community."
"Uh huh. I'm planning to pull a prank on the museum tomorrow morning. I'm going to swipe one of the items I donated with a copy that I made and then when I give it back the day after I'm going to say it was to test their security."
"........that's messed up. Why would you do that?"
"Because I'm eccentric. Want to help?"
Matt M thought about this for a second, shrugged his shoulders and said. "Well, my schedule IS clear tomorrow morning......."
.........................................................
At 10:30AM a very cumbersome crowd was stuffing themselves together in the museum lobby. Matthew McConaughey had arrived at the museum for a surprise tour and everyone recognized him on sight. As he handed out autographs and stood for photos a small mechanical drone in the shape of a spider crawled past the crowd and up the side wall.
The spider used a highly focused laser to damage the sprinkler system above and within seconds and shower of water poured down and alarms went off all around the museum.
The security doors for the niche gallery began to close but before they could Lola inserted a briefcase in-between the metal door and the floor, blocking it.
She ducked under the door and tossed a round metallic ball into the room that let out an emp and disrupted all of the security cameras.
Lola stole the necklace from its hiding spot and replaced it with her handmade copy. Hopefully no one would look close enough to see it was made out of dried macaroni and pink lace.

and that was all it took to rob a museum.
And Lola didn't even use HALF of the gadgets Tatiana had built for her personal use.
.......................................................
Lola got into the Limo with Robert and he drove her to the airport.
"Take care Ms Tiche."
"Goodbye Robert. I'll miss you." Lola said as she patted his shoulder.
For Lola, this was a touching moment. She was certain she'd never see Robert again. And she really liked him a lot.
For Robert, this was confirmation that Ms Tiche was fleeing the country and he'd need to start browsing the classified ads.
.......................................................
Lola raced through the airport like Tom Cruise in every movie he's ever been in.
She made a mental note to applaud Tatiana for staying in such great shape, (providing Lola doesn't kill her first) and too she spotted Sally standing in front of the terminal.
"Took you long enough! The planes ready to go."
"Right. Got my passport. Got the stuff I need to bring. Got my makeup. So wheres the..."
And Sally led Lola out into the open air where a MASSIVE private jet was standing by. It was sleek and shiny and had bright blue streaks down the side of it. TICHE was imprinted in huge letters so that the whole world could see.
"Why the HELL am I finding out about this now?! Look at this thing! Its'.....I mean... I can't even....I could've flown all over the world in this!" Lola babbled
"Tatiana! we have to go!"
"Just give me a minute!" And Lola walked up to the planes landing wheel and gave it a hug. "New life goal. Buy one of these....sniff....in bright pink."
.............................................
The flight was the kind of thing Lola had only experienced in her dreams. Everything was top dollar and fitted in silk.
The plane had its own kitchen where she had a sumptuous lunch. The bar was fully stocked and shiny (not that that mattered to Lola, who had vowed to never drink again.)
And the view. Lola Loud had NEVER ridden on a plane before (for a family of thirteen thats about 3900 dollars. And we're talking the worst seats available.) and to be able to experience the view of looking down at the clouds as past was something truly magical.
Once again, Lola felt like she was living in a fairy tale. Did Tatiana ever stop and realize how amazing her life was? Why would someone so smart and talented want to throw away all of this?
Sally on the other hand was looking at Lola from across the aisle. She noted the look of amazement and wonder on Lola's face and deep down inside, she was starting to believe.
Tatiana Tiche couldn't fake that expression. So either she's a little girl or she's gone insane for good.
Sally bet six to one that it wasn't madness. So as much as she hated to do it. she was bracing herself for something magical.
......................................
The plane landed in Michigan the next day and Lola hugged the interior walls of the plane before departing. reaffirming her new life goal.
After a breakfast and a little bit of sleep it was time to head to Royal woods and fix this mess once and for all.
....................................
BING BONG
Lola stood at the front door in anticipation. "So Sally, you remember the plan?"
"We're hear to offer Lola Loud an all expenses paid trip to California for a special beauty pageant."
"Got it. You just let me do all the talking."
"Oh, I intend to."
After a minute Lola rang the bell again.
No answer.
Lola began banging on the door as loudly as she could.
"HELLO! ONCE IN A LIFETIME OPPROTUNITY OVER HERE!!!!" She yelled.
"Whats all that racket?" An old man next door leaned his head out the upstairs window.
"Hey Mr Grouse! I mean.... Excuse me sir! Are you friends with the Loud family?"
"They ain't here. They took off on some kind of family fun day."
"What! Where?!"
"How should I know? what Am I? My neighbours keeper?" Mr grouse slammed the window down.
Sally tapped Lola on the arm. "Alright, lets calmly figure out-"
"TAAAAAAAAAAAAANYYYYYYYYAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Lola screamed at the top of her lungs in fury.
..............................................
As Vanzilla road down highway, Lana woke up form her nap in alarm. "Did you guys hear something just now?"
The family all shook their heads in the negative.
Lana shrugged her shoulders and went back to sleep. Meanwhile, Tatiana was looking out the window with a malicious smile on her face. She could just imagine the look on Lola's face right now.
To be continued
