MICAH POV

It's been almost two weeks since the wedding and I was back with Carmen helping her finish the last of her Halloween party plans. I was zoned out in another world but could hear her talking. Carmen soon realized it and threw a candy bag at me.

"Sorry" I laughed

"What's been up with you? You been spacing a lot lately"

"I don't know" I sighed "I just been thinking.... what am I really doing?"

" Meaning?"

"What's next for me? I'm not trying to manage the shop forever. I gave all the management for the club to Tiana. What am I going to do now?"

"Well, what do you want to do?"

I paused before smiling "Remember when we got high that one time"

"Oh Lord! A high story is connected to what you want to do"

"Shut up" I threw papers at her "I'm serious"

"Okay" she laughed "I guess I remember"

"We talked about buying like an art center and shit. We could do that!"

"What?" she looked shocked

"Think about it. If we get a space big enough, I can teach dance, you can teach art. We can get paid to do what we already love. And you wouldn't have to worry about selling through a gallery. We could sell your art too!"

"Wow" she smiled "You really been thinking about this heavy huh?"

"It just keeps coming to mind. I want to be happy with what I do. I mean I'm still thinking about grad school and everything, but right now.... I want to live my dream and do what I love too"

"Well, honestly best friend...." she paused before smiling at me "I couldn't think of a better idea of living the dream with my best friend!"

I screamed and hugged her "Thank you! Thank you! Thank you!"

"Oh shut up!" she pushed me away "You knew I would say yes anyway!"

I stuck my tongue out at her before we finished getting things ready.

"So tomorrow are you going to help me set up?"

"You know I got you"

"Well what are you going to be?"

"Haven't decided"

"Well let me help you" she smirked "Travis is coming so I'm thinking super sexy school girl"

I laughed "You're horrible"

"What? You know you got kinky costumes for days"

"If I wear my school girl costume, I'm not a school girl... I'm a stripper"

We stared at each other before we broke out into laughter.

"You just had to----"

"Hey it's a fact. No big deal"

"Just don't tell Travis that..... actually never mind that might get you some eggplant sooner"

"You need help"

"And you need dick"

I shrugged her craziness off before we hugged and parted ways. I headed to my apartment which was weird to me still. I wasn't fully comfortable with my new place yet. I quickly changed clothes and head to the shop.

When I got to the shop everyone was in a room with a client. I decided to work on the books while I wasn't busy. Half way through I heard Ralph coming out with his client. I looked up to see Kane smiling at me. I shook my headed before ignoring him. Ralph and him talked for a few moments before he leaned down and kissed my forehead then left. Ralph looked stunned but we both remained silent until someone walked in. I looked at the door to see Reagan and Travis.

"What happen?" Reagan laughed looking at Ralph stare at me "He's frozen"

"He's dumb" I shook my head "What's up though"

"What did you do" Reagan smirked at me

"Nothing" I rolled my eyes "Ralph is just being immature"

"Oh I'm immature" Ralph spoke

"Very!" I stuck my tongue out at him "Surprise you didn't know"

"Eat a dick"

"You first"

"Hey you two" Reagan held up her hand "Chill, Travis hasn't seen the crazy yall are yet"

"Oh don't change on account of me" Travis smirked

"What brings you here anyway" I smirked back at him

"I wanted a cover up but I never got around----"

"He don't know any good artist" Reagan laughed

"Shut up! But yeah I was seeing in Ralph wanted to cover?"

"Word?" Ralph smirked "Man what you got in mind?"

"Honestly I don't even know"

"Aight, aight. Just come to the back and we can bounce of couple idea. Nothing has to be set in stone or done today"

"Bet"

They walked to the back and Travis and I stared at each other until he was out of my view. Something about the man gave me chills but I was cool and so was he. Reagan however didn't think so. She cleared her thought before laughing at me.

"What?" I got up from my desk

"Just strip him naked and fuck already"

"Reagan!"

"I mean it's gross because he's my brother but shit at least I know he's not a bad guy"

"Oh you looking out for me is that it?"

"More like trying to have the baddest double wedding"

"You have clearly lost your marbles"

"That's fine! But mark my words, this costume party happening, yall both gone be there, gone drunk" she looked down the hall "Just don't tell me the nasty details. I just need to know when you gone be my sister in law"

"When you marry my brother" I pushed her out of my way "I told you. F-R-I-E-N-D FRIENDS!"

"You forgot the S"

"You forgot you medication"

We laughed and joked until the guys came from the back.

"Sis make him an appointment please"

"Alright" I walked back behind the desk "When you want to come back?"

"Whenever is fine"

"Well when can you be off"

"Whenever" he laughed

"Okay? How about Monday?"

"Sure"

"11?"

"That works"

I wrote his appoint down on an appointment card and handed it to him. He held my hand for a second only to let it go with a laugh. I shook my head before finishing up some paper. Once I was done Ralph and I have started cleaning up while Reagan and Travis waited. Ralph locked up and we headed out, going our separate ways.

I went home showered and sexified myself before I threw on my costume and headed to Carmen to help with the party before it started. I took a couple pics before I left the house for IG since I hadn't posted in forever.

I posted on IG and headed out to Carmen's house. When I got there she was already drinking and dancing around the cleared out living room. I of course joined in while also making last minute adjustment to decorations. When everything was done we sat down and talked while people arrived.

It wasn't long before there little party was jumping with their mix of friends. Tiana showed up as a play boy bunny which was her only routine outfit that doesn't pull off easily. We laughed and hugged before dancing around the dance floor together. As I laughed and danced with Tiana and Carmen I felt someone walk out behind me and pull at my rode. I turned around to see Travis dressed as a male boxer. I laughed and jumped in his arm hugging him.

"Whoa" he laughed "Guess that means you're happy to see me"

"That and I'm slightly tipsy" I laughed along "I like your costume copy cat"

"Hey, great minds think a like"

"Hmmm I'm sexier"

"I won't deny that"

He bit his lip before looking me up and down; making my knees weak. I pushed him and laughed trying to play off how hot I really just got.

"Umm rude much" Tiana interrupted our flirting "You introducing us to your friend or nahh?"

"Travis this is me and Carmen's extra rude best friend Tiana"

"So Travis who are you? And why you got my best friend blushing and shit"

"Tiana!"

"Umm" Travis chuckled "I mean me and Micah just friend"

"Micah? Hmm okay then Mr. Travis"

"Travis is Keith's friend and Reagan's brother" Carmen explain laughing at her "Chill"

"If you say so" she shrugged

"Yall crazy" Travis laughed "Well let me go find my boys. I'll catch up to your later Micah"

"Alright"

Travis hugged me again before walking off to find his friends. I proceeded to walk to the kitchen to get more drinks and avoid Tiana's badgering about Travis. My girls followed me but suprisingly Tiana was too concerned about snatching up a man than me and Travis. We laughed and joked as the party went on.

Travis did as he said and came and found me after a while. Keith and some other guy was with him. He hugged me before introducing his unknown friend.

"Micah this is my boy Marcus. Marcus this is Micah and her friend Tiana"

"Hey ladies" he shook my hand then shook and held Tiana's "Pleasure to meet you"

"You too" she smirked

"Want to dance?" he asked her

"Hmm let's see what you got"

I laughed as Tiana walked away with Marcus winking back at us.

"What about you?" Travis grabbed my hand "You not gone let best friend dance alone"

"Travie I don't think you can handle my dancing"

"Travie? Alright then, bet"

Before I could respond he pulled me back to the living room to dance. We weren't far away from Tiana which only allowed for me and her to synchronize our attack. The song changed to Kiss It Better by Rihanna. Travis and I started grinding into each other like our clothes would eventually melt. I turned around and you would've thought I was back in the strip club. The DJ who was a friend of Carmen and I caught sight of me and began changing from one sex song to the next.

When I finally stop dancing it was because Travis licked my neck. I laughed before walking away from him and heading outside. He followed behind me making dirty jokes.

"You're childish"

"Nah you childish!" he laughed "Where you learn to dance like that"

"I'm a dancer, I didn't learn anywhere. I taught myself"

"Oh really?"

"That and fucking has taught me quite a bit"

He looked shocked before laughing until tears were in his eyes.

"Why you gotta be so savage?"

"I'm not" I laughed "I'm a lady"

"A savage lady" he pushed me "You're definitely one of a kind"

"More like one in a million"

"Even better"

"You are really flirty my friend"

"It's just because you're fucking beautiful. But I still just want to be friends"

"Why?"

"I told you. You just different."

"You gone have my head extra gassed up"

"That's cool. Deeper in the friendship I'll start humbling you"

"Humble me?"

"Aye just because you're beautiful doesn't mean I can't humble you"

"Well I'd love to see you try-----"

"Yo Travis we been looking for---- oh didn't mean to interrupt"

Travis step to the side and turned around to reveal David, his wife, and Marcus.

"Oh we was just getting some air"

"Yeah 'air'"Marcus joked

"Let me go find Tiana and Carmen. Hit me later Travie" I smirked at him "I may not stay to much longer"

"Let me know I might ride with you" he joked

"Right"

Travis hugged me before I headed inside. I knew it would just be a lot of drama being friends with Travis but he was cool people. It I wasn't on a love sabbatical I could see myself pursing Travis. It was all just to complicate.

I was so lost in thought I walked into Reagan...literally.

"Whoa! What's wrong?"

"Nothing" I laughed "Nothing I was just lost in thought"

"At a party?"

"You know me Rae"

"Yo brother was looking for you"

"He saw him?"

"You know it"

"Tell him to chill. I'm going to head out anyway"

"Why? You love the turn up"

"Yeah" I shook my head "I just aint feeling it today"

"Want me to dip too?"

"Nahh I'm good"

"She really is" Travis said walking up to me "Where you trying to go?"

"Just not feeling it anymore. Getting too old for the all night drinking and twerking"

"Bet, let's go"

"Huh?" I cocked my head to the side "Go where?"

"Where ever you want? Look you said we were friends but I have yet to hang out with you and you trying to leave so I'm coming too"

"You're coming to my house?" he nodded "And how do you suppose you getting home?"

"We can figure that out"

I laughed and smirked at him. After studying his face, I called his bluff.

"Bet let's go"

Travis followed me to Carmen who was with her man, Tiana, and Ralph. I told them we were leaving and all their faces turned the same. I didn't bother explaining because I knew they would never believe it. Travis and I headed outside to my car. As we got in I saw David in the front door way watching. I winked at him before getting in and driving off. The joys of being petty.
