Day Seventeen.

Verses: "'I will give thanks to you, Lord , with all my heart; I will tell of all your wonderful deeds. I will be glad and rejoice in you; I will sing the praises of your name, O Most High.'" Psalm 9:1-2

One of the hardest things for me when I am struggling, is to be thankful and grateful. Because sometimes I get so focused on my struggles that I forget God's goodness. I forget that even though I am struggling, I have many things to be thankful for.

Here are some of my reasons today why I am thankful:

1. I interviewed for a freelance writing job yesterday and today I found out I got the job! Yay! I am so excited! (just warning you guys, I will posting less once I start my job because I will be busy working.)

2. I am in a good mood today, praise God!

3. I recorded a funny video of my cat Crazy. Crazy made me laugh and smile.

4. Even though I am struggling with physical pain due to my chronic illnesses, I have a very loving and supportive family that help me through it.

5. I have a very good, close, and real relationship with God.

6. I have been drinking coffee and I love coffee!

7. I finished laundry yesterday so I am going to be resting today.

8. Where I live it has finally stopped raining and it's beautiful outside.

9. My ministry I started has been growing and I am very excited about that.

10. I am alive today and I am living for the Lord! Thank you Jesus!

If you struggle with being thankful and grateful, you can write a list of ten things you are grateful for everyday. I will do it with you! Because even if all you have is Jesus, Jesus is enough! We can always be thankful for Jesus.

Reason to be thankful and grateful for God:

God will love you forever. (Psalm 136:1)

God will never leave you. (Hebrews 13:5)

God will comfort you. (Isaiah 49:13)

God will help you and always be there for you. (Psalm 121:1-2)

God is always faithful. (Psalm 33:4)

God keeps His promises. (Deuteronomy 7:9)

God sent His one and only Son to die on the cross for YOU! Because God's love for you is stronger than death. Jesus conquered death and the grave. Now we get to freely to talk to God, have a close relationship with God, after we have been saved, we can go to Heaven when we die, and all because of Jesus! (John 3:16)

I don't know what you are going through but remember that God is good even when life isn't. Life is full of: death, cancer, sickness, mental illnesses, chronic illnesses, hurricanes, and so much more.

God is full of: grace, love, compassion, forgiveness, peace, rest, thankfulness, and so much more.

God loves you so much and just wants your praise. If you are having a hard time praising God, that's okay. Talk with Him about it. He is here to help you.

God loves you and can't wait to see you!

Prayer:

Dear God,

Help me stop focusing so much on my struggles but to focus on you and the good things in my life. God I am struggling with being thankful and grateful, so I pray you help me be thankful and grateful. Because in you God, I have so many reasons to be thankful. You are amazing and you are my King. All for all my days, I want to serve and follow you. So please grab my hand and help me walk through life with you by my side.

I thank you for all my many blessings and for Your Son.
