《The Empress' Son》CHAPTER THREE

Unlike the past months where I almost died out of boredom, Jamie suddenly insisted on letting me leave my room and see the whole palace for myself. It was a good idea since I'm also near to turn 1 year old.
Palace...
So this is the real life of a prince.
As she carried me into her arms, I saw every corner of the palace, and it was magnificent. To think that I've been neglected by my very own mother, I still have this luxuries surrounding me.
"Would his highness like to see his brother?" Jamie asked with a smile. I quickly whirled my head to look at her.
What did she say?
"Eeya!" I hope she understood that it was a 'hell no!'
"Yeah?" Jamie asked, nodding to herself while I almost cursed under my breath. "His highness seems excited. Let's go!"
Oh Jamie, I hope you know how I hate my brother.
But speaking of him, I thought I am older? Am I seeing that jerk as a fetus then?
She opened one of the rooms and entered. I roamed my eyes around and saw that the room is just thesame as mine. "Here he is, his highness." Jamie placed me down the carpeted floor.
"Prince Klydeur, your brother is here." She also carried the boy up from the cradle, before placing him down the floor infront of me.
Klydeur's hair color is white, an opposite color of mine which is black, yet our mother's is black. Now why the hell did she like this jerk more than me? His silver eyes seemed to twinkle as he giggled at me. "Klaydu!"
Jamie cooed at his cuteness, while I ignored him and stared at the wall with the most unreadable expression in my face. "Beezad." And I meant 'bastard' yet it sounded like 'lizard'.

"Oh my! This scene is so heart fluttering." Jamie smiled as she hugged both of us, thus making me and Klydeur get close to each others.
He smiled at me as he reached out his hand to hold my hand. Giggling, he seems to be very happy to see me.
I suddenly felt guilty. This boy in here just wanted a playmate...
But for pete's sake, I am the neglected prince here! And soon he'll have everything he wants to have, and I'll end up executed. The perks of being the favorite son.
"Oh, I'll leave you two here for a moment." Jamie stood up as she left the room, leaving me and Klydeur. Oh boy, this is awkward.
There was a defeaning silence. I stay seated like a behaved baby boy, while the idiot just crawled away, then crawled back to reach me, but then-
"Uwaaaaaah!" He fell down, his head hitting the floor, making him cry out loud.
I had the urge to yell at him, "You deserve it!", but looking at his state right now, it's a pity. And so I crawled towards him and lifted his head. "Waaaaaah!" He was still crying and I'm starting to get annoyed.
What a crybaby.
And so I had no other choice but to blow his forehead until he stopped crying. I almost fell down the floor when he hugged me, but I chose not to shove him for now. Just what kind of a prince is he? Such a crybaby-
Wait.. this is the first time I saw him upclose and now I realized.
He looks exactly like me.
Just then, the door bursted open, revealing a panicked Jamie and some other maids. "His highness, what's wrong? Are you hurt-" But then they stopped when they saw that Klydeur was hugging me, and so they cooed at our cuteness.

This isn't the time to be cooing at us, guys!
Jamie told the maids to get an icepack, and when they soon returned, she placed it on my crybaby brother's forehead. "My, my, his highness really cares for his younger brother."
I almost snorted, pointing my finger at him. She looked at me with a surprised expression. Then I pointed myself, my face rather.
"Our prince is a bright little boy!" One of the maids screeched.
Jamie smiled at me. "Oh? His highness seems to be asking why he looks like his brother." Chuckling, she patted my head as she looked at Klydeur. "You and your brother are twins."
A moment of silence is very much appreciated.
"His highness is older than Prince Klydeur for 15 seconds." She added.
This is terror.
The terror is real.
To think that my brother, my rival for being the heir in the throne, is actually my twin. Now how come I became an outcast if we just look alike?
I can't believe I lost to this dude whose 15 seconds younger than me. And wait, 15 seconds? Did the Empress used magic to just push him out after me like a poop or something?
Why did that woman like him more than me-
Oh wait...
I get it.
I looked at Klydeur, eyes wide. He's a cute little boy, his sweetness must have been the way to be loved by the Empress. His white hair is even added to his charms, making him look like an angel.
If that is the case, does that mean that if I do thesame... the Empress will also like me?
Hell no. I'd never.. but..
The maids seems to be more interested with Klydeur than me. He was still in pain, but he managed to smile and giggle a bit.
He's even stealing my Jamie!
I huffed out a sigh as I stared at Jamie whose explaining things to me.
"The Empress gave birth to the twins of this kingdom, but only one deserves to be the heir in the throne." She smiled at me. "And since you are the eldest, you have the right to be the rightful ruler."
Yes, yes. And Klydeur here will become the ruthful ruler.
The maids paid attention to him. This made me more annoyed, but then an idea struck my head.
Cuteness will make me win them over me.
And so, I gave Jamie the cutest smile ever. "Hehehe!" The maids whirled their head towards me as they heard me giggled.
"Aww! He giggled! This is my first time to see it!"
"Prince Clydeur is such a cutie!"
"He's like an angel."
I felt that my lips tugged upward, forming a triumphant smile. Looking towards the confused Klydeur, I smiled at him, but he didn't bother to return the smile.
Just you wait, I'll punch you so hard it's going to hurt soon.
