《Gone Before Raine (Interracial-Bwwm)》Chapter 7

I thought it would be a good idea to add a song to each chapter.
"I'm sorry we didn't believe you..." Cherry sniffles wiping at her nose with the back of her hand. Her eyes an irritated red color. Daryl wiped the sweat from his eyebrow and moved over to Ebony. He sighed as he placed his hand over her wound. Raine grimaced as more blood oozed out of her wound.
"How much longer does she have?" Raine asks, lifting Ebony's head onto her lap. Daryl shrugged frowning as Ebony coughed up some more blood. Her skin was a pasty brown color and she felt cold to the touch.
"She's dying and we can't help her." Cherry spoke up burying her head in her lap. "Do you think George is dead?" She wonders looking up at Raine and Daryl.
"I can't say I know what happened to George. Hopefully he can see something is up and go find us some help." Raine shook her head at that.
"Do you honestly think he would ever go get help for us?" She scoffs, "The first person he is looking out for is himself. He doesn't care what happens to us-" Raine stopped talking when Ebony started shaking and convulsing on the ground. "What's happening?!" She sits up. Cherry crawls over helping Daryl hold Ebony down.
"Keep her still, she is going into shock." He says in a frenzy. Raine nods, placing her hands on both sides of Ebony's head. Ebony continued to shake, her eyes wide open. Raine gulped, she knew that Ebony was going to die. They did not have equipment to help her. Plus she was losing blood rapidly.
Suddenly Ebony stopped convulsing. Her body was still, no movement evident from her. Cherry gasped, "Is she dead?" She scans over Ebony. Daryl growls moving away from the body. Even though he was pissed at Ebony, he didn't want her to die. No one did.

"What do we do now?" Raine whispers, staring at the expired body in front of her. Daryl shrugged his shoulders. Raine sighs and looks around the small shed. "We need to cover her up, we can't just leave her lying here." She crawls over to a corner, pushing away a few boxes. She went through them and found an old tattered blanket. She bit her lips as she draped the blanket over Ebony.
"Rest in peace..." Cherry mumbles leaning her head against the wall.
"Guys we can't stay here, we have to get out." Daryl cracked his knuckles. Raine glanced at the small space they crawled through.
"Is that really a good idea? Maybe we should just wait until morning." She suggested. Cherry nodded her head.
"Yeah, I agree with Raine. Let's just sleep it off. We are better off moving in the daylight."
The trio spent the night in the small shed, each taking turns keeping watch for anything. They did not want to risk them getting caught off guard while sleeping. In the morning they all crawled out of the shed. Raine stood up, dusting the dirt from the back of her shorts.
"Stay close and together." Daryl advised. Raine and Cherry held onto each other as they followed Daryl through the woods. It was really quiet for some reason. Not even the animals were making any noises. The group walked a little bit further but stopped when they heard a leaf crunch. Raine sucked in a breath preparing to run. Cherry squeezed her arm in fear.
"You guys are still alive?!" George came out of hiding. He looked a mess. His shirt had splotches of blood, there was a huge knot on his forehead. "Where is Ebony?" He asks looking them all in the eyes.

"She didn't make it." Raine spoke up, "Where have you been?" She questions him.
"I was hiding, that crazy guy has been trying to kill me all night!" He growl shaking his hands. "I got a good shot at his face though." He says proudly.
"He got a good shot of you too." Cherry mumbles under her breath. She was still mad at George and quite frankly did not want to see him.
"What was that-"
George was caught off by the sound of a chainsaw starting up. "Seriously?" Daryl looks behind George. George turned stumbling over to the group. There stood their assailant with a chainsaw, waving it back and forth at them. Almost taunting them with it.
"Run!" Darly shouts at the group. George ran in one direction, Cherry in another. Daryl followed after Cherry and Raine ran after them. Raine willed herself to run as fast as she could although her breathing was becoming labored making it difficult.
"Wait!" She shouts after Daryl, he looks back to see how far away she was from him. "Ouch!" Raine tumbles to the ground, yelping loudly. She screams out in pain, looking down at her foot.
"Shit! Cherry wait up!" It was too late, Cherry was already far away. Daryl rushed over to Raine's side. "Damn it!" He shouts looking at her foot which was stuck in an animal trap.
"Get it off!" Raine cries sitting up. Daryl tries to pry the jagged parts away from her flesh. While he did this, Raine kept watch for the person. After a few more tries Daryl managed to get her foot free. He helped her up. Raine whimpered trying to keep pressure off of her foot as they made their way through the woods.
"We're going to need to find a place to hide. You can't really walk for too long." Daryl kept his arm around her looking around.
"What about there?" Raine points to a cave up ahead. Daryl nods and walks her to the cave. He set her on the ground in there, behind a huge rock. The rock concealed her from anyone who would pass by the cave. "You're leaving me?" Raine asks frowning.
Daryl nods, "Yes, but only to get help. You can't move and I don't want you to be an easy target. I'll come back before the sun sets. I promise." He tells her kissing her head. Raine pouts but reluctantly lets him go.
"Please come back to me." She pleads with him. Daryl stands up and hands her a heavy stone as a weapon.
"I will, I'm going to try to find Cherry too." He looks behind him, then looks back to Raine. "Don't move." He warns her and with that said he leaves the cave. Raine watched him walk out, tears falling from her eyes. She hoped that wasn't the last time she would see him or Cherry.
