《Gone Before Raine (Interracial-Bwwm)》Chapter 6

Five hours had passed and there was no sign of George. The sun had long set leaving them in pitch darkness. Daryl started up the campfire so there would be some form of light for them. Ebony sat off to the side away from Cherry, Raine, and Daryl. Every so often Raine would glance at the treeline. Even though she hated George she wanted him to come back so they could get going.
"Can't we just leave him?" Cherry growls in annoyance. She was seriously fed up with George. Raine kicked at the dirt.
"As much as I want to leave him, we can't." She mumbles letting out a sigh. She ran a had over her face. She was hot and felt sticky and sweaty. "I need a shower," she says to herself.
"Shouldn't we go look for him?" Ebony suddenly spoke up. Everyone stopped and turned to her.
"We?" Cherry scoffed. "You can go, no one is stopping you." Ebony rolls her eyes and plays with a few pebbles throwing them. She stood up, dusting off her back side.
"I rather go look for him then stay here with you guys!" Raine raised a brow, shaking her head at her. She knew that if Ebony went out there alone, something would for sure happen to her.
"Bye." Cherry said sarcastically waving her off. Both Daryl and Raine snickered at that.
"I'm going with her to help find Daryl. I don't want to wait any longer." Raine spoke up, standing from her spot as well. Daryl and Cherry turned to look at her like she was crazy. Raine looked back at them. "What? I don't like them anymore then you do. I just want to go home." She explains herself. Ebony looked between the friends, frowning.
"Hello? I'm right here."
"Shut up!!" Cherry, Daryl, and Raine all shouted in her direction. "Now, let's go." Raine picked up one of the flashlights. Ebony started walking and Raine stayed behind her. She wasn't stupid enough to walk in front of her.

"George?" Ebony called out into the night. Raine followed behind her biting her lips, she felt weird. She shone the light at random bushes and trees. "George?! Please come out, it's Ebony." Raine rolls her eyes at the girl calling out to George, she wanted to smack her. Maybe coming out with her wasn't a good idea. "Wait, did you hear that?" Ebony stopped walking and turned to Raine. "George is that you?" Ebony calls out again.
"I doubt that's George," Raine says looking around, then she heard the sound Ebony heard. It was a few bushes moving and then a twig snapping. "Um...I think it is best we go back to the others." Raine advised suddenly remember how she thought someone was watching them their entire trip.
Ebony grabbed her arm, "What? No, we can't leave, we have to find George." Ebony pleads. Raine yanks her arm free from her.
"You can stay and look for him, I'm going back." Raine hands her the flashlight and turns back around heading to the direction they came from. Raine glanced back to see Ebony heading forward. She shook her head, she hoped that she finds George and brings him back.
"Raine? You're back quickly. Where is Ebony and George?" Daryl stands up to make his way to her.
"I left her, we heard a noise, she thought it was George. I told her I was heading back." Raine shrugs and makes her way over to Cherry. Cherry started laughing, a small snort escaping her lips.
"I can't believe you left her!" She laughs covering her mouth, "I hope she gets mauled by a bear." Raine smiles and sits down.
"Maybe we should go back and find-" Daryl was interrupted by someone screaming. Cherry stopped laughing and Raine's eyes widen slightly. "Was that Ebony?" As if she heard her name, Ebony came running out of the treeline, more like stumbling out. Daryl rushed over to her, catching her before she fell. His hand touched something wet and he pulled it back to see his hand smeared in blood. He led her to the log and helped her on it.

"What the hell happened out there?!" Daryl exclaimed grabbing the shirt Raine gave him to press to the wound she was bleeding from. Ebony shook her head crying.
"I couldn't see! I couldn't!" She cried, more blood seeping out of the wound. Raine stood next to Cherry, both gripping onto the other for dear life. Daryl looks up to the girls.
"We have to go, we can't wait for George, she's going to bleed out." He says applying more pressure. Raine nods, rushing to help him get Ebony up. Cherry ran and searched through the scattered things on the floor, finding George's car keys. She ran to the car, getting into the driver seat. She shoved the key into the car, turning it. Nothing happened. She frowns and turns the key again. Raine and Daryl got Ebony into the car and looked to Cherry.
"What's wrong?" Raine leans forward slightly in her seat.
"The car won't start!" Cherry shouts turning the key in the ignition over and over again.
"Are you kidding me?" Daryl gets out the car and opens the hood of the car, everything seemed to be fine. "Try it again!"He tells Cherry. Cherry does, shaking her head when nothing happened. Ebony started coughing up blood and groaning. She lifted up a finger, pointing off in the distance. Raine frowned and looked over to where she was pointing.
"What is that?" She says out in horror, Cherry looks up, her eyes widening in terror. She beeped the horn of the car, catching Daryl's attention. He looks at her and raises a brow.
"What?" He asks. Cherry points behind him. Daryl turns around, "What the hell?" He jumps back. Walking towards him was a huge guy. He had a face mask, something that they could not identify what it was of. In his hand he held a ax. He seemed determined to make his way over to Daryl. Daryl ran back into the car. "Lock the doors!" He yells. Cherry hits the lock button, watching as the doors all lock.
"Is that who got you Ebony?" Raine whispers to her. Ebony nods her head once, her breathing getting harder and labored. Raine frowns, touching her arm. She was starting to get cold. The person finally made it to the car and everyone seemed to stop breathing. They watch as he circled the car. At this point all the girls were crying and Raine was trying so hard to stop Ebony's bleeding as best as she could.
The guy raises the ax and slams it into the car window. Everyone screamed watching in horror as he tried to smash the window.
"Get out!" Daryl shouts opening the door, jumping out. Cherry climbs over the car gear and gets out, helping Daryl get Ebony out. Raine climbed out the car, running after them, she glanced back to see the person was following them. Her heart was beating heavily in her chest as they ran through the woods.
"He is still following us!" She calls out to Daryl. Daryl looks around, looking for a place for them to hide. It was dark so they had that to their advantage.
"There!" He points to a small shed looking thing. There was no doors to enter through because it seemed barricaded. Raine looks for any way they could get in. She waves them over. It was a small opening at the bottom of one of the woods. She crawls under it, getting into the shed. She reached her hand out and helped Daryl get Ebony in. Then Cherry crawled in, followed by Daryl. They were all panting as they looked at each other.
"What is going on?" Daryl breathes in disbelief.
"I told you someone was watching us and now he is trying to kill us."
