Matthias was honestly satisfied and content with life right now. He was getting blessed every day it seemed like, and honestly, he never saw himself being like this today. He thought he was always going to be focused on his work, and child and that's just how his life is forever.

He had a beautiful woman by his side that he called his and that he was madly in love with. Which was a shocker to everyone that knew him and knew he had never been that way with anyone. Another daughter that he loved unconditionally, a granny that loved him within a short amount of time.

All he needed was to get Cora and Annkia out of their lives for good and he'll be in an even better place in his life.

"Happy fa' yo' old ass dawg. You deserve all of this" Ruben patted his shoulder. "Preciate man" Matthias chuckled.

Kennedi started making her way over to him with a frown on her face "What's wrong Mami?" He asked alert, picking her up and putting her on his lap.

"I don't want you and mama to leave" She softly huffed, putting her head on his chest. He chuckled a little and rubbed her arm "We gonna be back on Sunday Princess, it's gonna fly by sooo fast" He kissed her head.

Matthias understood where she was coming from, it's always been just the two of them for so long. This was the first longest trip he was taking without her so it was new for the both of them.

"Why can't me and Rayah come?" She frowned her eyebrows, looking up at him.

"Because y'all have school," He said.

"So? Y'all can't wait until we get out of school" She raised her eyebrow, and he blankly looked at her "No" he said plainly watching her jaw dropped.

She mugged and got down "At least Bari wouldn't do this to us" She sassed, going to Jabari and sitting on his lap.

Jabari scrunched up his face "Nah, you were just actin' like you didn't want ta' be wit' me" He playfully mugged her. "And to think I was gonna take y'all shoppin' this weekend. No nomo" He stuck his tongue out at her.

"Noo! You can't do thatttt you know I love you and your card" She giggled hugging him and his jaw dropped while they all laughed at her.

Jabari pushed her head off of him "Well dats too damn bad. Bye," He put her off his lap. She whined and stomped her feet "Mommmyyyy, Bari being mean" She whined, running over to where Ailani was.

Matthias just shook his head "Na' this nigga know he still goin' ta' take them. Those little got both of y'all wrapped about their little finger" Kei laughed.

Jabari waved him off but it was true. Anything Sarayah and Kennedi wanted, they gave it to them. It was hard telling them no, especially with how adorable they are.

He smirked "They are, maybe not Friday" He chuckled, and Matthias, shook his head.

"Bari! You are their parent, not friend, they needa go ta' school" She fussed, he waved her off walking to his car where Kennedi and Sarayah were already asleep inside.

"He got on my nerves" She huffed, Matthias opened the passenger side door for her. Once she was all the way in, he closed the door and jogged to the driver's side, and got in.

"It's okay for them to miss one day of school baby," He said, starting the car and letting it roar to life.

"Okay but then they're gonna think I'm the mean one when I'm the only one telling them no," She said as they put on their seatbelts.

"They're going to think you mean if anyone tells them no. They're spoiled, especially Ken" He said, pulling out of the parking lot and heading to the airport.

"I guess," She mumbled, grabbing his free hand. "You havin' a good birthday so far?" She asked, rubbing the back of his hand while staring at the side of his face.

He chuckled, glancing at her then back at the road "Baby my birthday is over in 4 or 3 hours" He said.

Matthias of course always had a good birthday, his parents always made sure of it. But as he got older and had a child, he didn't necessarily celebrate as much anymore. He sat at home and relaxed, spending time with Kennedi. Now he had a significant other that wanted to celebrate him which was very new to him. It was a good feeling honestly.

"You treat me too good girl," He said, stopping at a red light and looking over at her. She smirked, leaning over the console and letting her free hand wander over his visible bugle.

Ailani silently giggled when she walked out of the bathroom and saw Matthias curled up in the cover to replace where she was.

She chuckled "Bubba, forreal. We got things ta' do" She said.

He shook his head "Let's jus' relax today mama. I'm tired" He said lowly. She nodded "You sure?" She asked. It was his birthday so she was down to do whatever he wanted. She didn't exactly have an activity planned for today or anything day of that matter. But she did have a list of things to do and was going to let him pick from it.

He nodded still with his eyes. "I be knocking that ass out huh?" She chuckled. He just nodded, making her laugh even harder.

She picked up her phone from the nightstand to entertain herself while he slept. She instantly regretted it when one of her employees started calling. "Dakota, didn't I say not ta' call me unless it's a life or death situation until Sunday?" She answered the call slightly annoyed.

Lani sighed "Where is Lyric?" She asked.

"She didn't come in today," She replied.

"Call her about it and if she doesn't answer, then call me back." She said before hanging up. Lani could've given her the key code but she didn't trust her enough for that. The key code was to everything about her and Lyrics business along with their money.

"I'm hungry" She heard Matthias blurt. She looked down seeing his eyes fully opened and him looking into space. "I saw a waffle house when we came in this morning," She said.

"That's whea' Ken and Rayah get it from! You!" He laughed, and she chuckled a little. He never told her no, it was always yes. She was confused by his behavior right now because that's not what they do.

"May I please get some?" She poked her bottom lip out asking politely. He sucked his teeth and straight-faced her "Baby, I gave you some earlier and you have yo' own fries in front of you" He said.

"Bubba I said please. Yours has a lobster on it and mine only had shrimp" She whined.

He shook his head, moving his fries back over to her "Greedy ass." He mumbled when she happily stuck her fork into his plate. "Mm, these are so good!" She groaned, after taking a bite.

Matthias shook his head "You say Rayah and Ken are spoiled when you are the main character. Just spoiled as hell" He grumbled before taking a bite of his plowboy.

She sighed "Blame yourself, sir. I go off the energy you give me" She cheesed, he smiled back at her and shook his head.

Lani never thought she was spoiled until she met Matthias. She spoiled her all the time, sent her flowers just because sometimes, buys her things just because or if he was at the store and was thinking of her. Drowned her in love and affection, along with respect treated her like a queen.

"Aw look at my food baby" She pouted looking down at her stomach before punching it. Matthias choked on his food before falling out laughing.

She laughed at him, sounding like a spray bottle "Aye, you ain shit!" He wiped his tears away. "You didn't have to start punching yo' stomach like that" He laughed.

She giggled and started rubbing her full stomach "Just gotta make sure no creatures not trying ta' creep" She joked

Matthias finally caught his breath and drank some of his drink out of his cup "We aren't having any more kids?" He asked, going back to eating his food. She moved closer to him on the couch before lifting her leg up and putting it on his leg.

"Yeah, maybe 1 more but not until I have a ring on my finger" She smirked, waving her hand in the air. The only way Lani was popping another baby out was if she was married.

He chuckled, moving her hand out to his face "You actin' like gettin' a ring and goin' down ta' Vegas tonight ain' nothin' " He smirked, and butterflies erupted in her stomach.

His energy sometimes and how confident he was about marrying her was something different. It was only different because she knew he wasn't lying.

She playfully rolled her eyes "You wanna be my hubby soo bad" She joked, grinning at her.

He shook his head "I'm already is. A ring and wedding just make it official to outside people looking in" He shrugged.

She sighed "Pull it out. I'm not playin' " She started pulling her hair up into a ponytail. He started laughing at her.

"We miss y'all too." Lani smiled into the camera. Rayah just pouted, hurting Lani's feelings.

"Ima see you Monday right after school jellybean," Lani said, in hopes to make her feel better. She forgot how much Sarayah hated being away from her for more than 2 days or 3.

Sarayah sadly nodded and Ken hugged her before kissing her cheek, making Lani's heart warm. She hated them being sad, which made her want to jump on a flight and come home earlier.

"We gonna get ice cream when we pick y'all up Ight?" Matthias tried to lighten the mood as Lani sat in his lap. Both of their eyes lit up "Can we go to Andy's?" They both asked excitedly, making them chuckle.

"Yeah, we can but only if y'all smile fa' us" He raised his eyebrows. They both smiled big, making Lani laugh. "Y'all havin' fun wit' Bari tho?" Lani asked, already knowing the answer. As much as they were attached to them, it was the same way for Jabari.

"Yes! Daddy took us to build a bear this morning" Sarayah smiled before moving out the camera then came back with blue and purple teddy bears.

"We got birth certificates and all!" Ken smiled. "But he made us do multiplication problems first," Ken rolled her eyes. Lani tucked her lips from laughing at their faces.

"And did! They're gonna be math geniuses because of me!" They heard Jabari yell. "Daddy, she wasn't talking to youu" Sarayah scrunched up her face.

"Right. So rude to jump in our conversation like that" Kennedi shook her head. They both fell out laughing at them arguing. They all talked a little more about their week at school and how Bari was letting them help him cook a fancy dinner last night. Then hung up so the girls could go eat their Lunch.
