As they both leave, they’re abruptly cut off by a massive portal opening on the beach. The dragons and angels both look at the portal and raise their weapons.

“Another one,” Chief yelled. “I don’t know about this, Katie. I think the dragons can handle this one.”

A sudden burst of red flame exploded out the portal and onto the beach, burning alive both the fish creatures and some of the angels that were too low to the ground.

“Holy shit,” they heard Monzoga cry out.

Celenara flies towards Chief and Katie. “This may be him! I need you to stay here while we fight! An army of flaming, skeletal creatures will come out with him, and you two are some of the best fighters we have to offer!”

Heat… everything was getting hotter. The ocean began to bubble, the air distorted in front of them, the houses began to melt while the creatures inside the water were being cooked alive.

Katie placed her hands on Chief’s arm, and pushed herself into the air. “Is this the one you were talking about!?”

“Yes! This is exactly it," Celenara shouted. “You are both perfect for this! He has a core inside his chest that we dragons cannot reach! But you are smaller and more agile!”

“Why don’t you just shrink,” Chief yelled back.

“I-” Celenara was cut off as the king of the flame stepped out of the portal. His body was gargantuan. No skin was seen anywhere on his body, only a black skeleton with crimson-red flames covering his entire body.

“Holy shit,” Katie cried out. The environment only got hotter with his arrival, the ocean was evaporating, the houses ignited into flame, and the sky suddenly turned red.

“So, you brought more,” the entity god's voice boomed out. His voice was deep and sounded like the raging inferno brought to life. “This woman brought you all to your deaths. Although I do admire your bravery. You will pass on into the abyss with my respects.”

Katie’s skin glistened with sweat as her body grew, hotter and hotter. She looked at Chief, seeing him visibly sweating, more than her. “Chief! It’s talking! Intelligently too!”

“I can see that,” Chief said in a low voice. “Celenara, you don’t really want us to stay here and fight this, do you?”

No response came from Celenara, she flew away from Chief, flying next to her brother's side.

“Ok, Katie, what I want you to do is follow my lead. Do not separate from me under any circumstances, got it?”

“Yes, Chief.”

“I won’t need the Drakurai for this," the entity god's voice boomed. "I’ll slay you myself!"

The entity god punched his fist together, causing the flame to burn brighter. “Drakura," he roared as his fist flew through the air, smashing and burning the angels.

The angels scattered and began to shoot arrows at his rib cage, attempting to hit a glowing red orb in his chest. He quickly raised his arms, blocking the arrows, and punched into the air. Odraxon slammed his mace down on him, but was suddenly halted as the entity caught the shaft.

“As stubborn as ever, Odraxon.” The entity god pulled the mace towards him and grabbed Odraxon’s throat. Celenara conjured two beams of light from her hands and blast them at his core. The entity god jumped to the left, evading the beams.

Katie and Chief flew behind the army of angels and observed the battle.

“She wants us to fight that,” Chief yelled. “Even the strongest of the dragons is struggling against him!”

“I know this is bad,” Katie shouted. “But I can’t leave my uncle and aunt with this guy!”

“What do you want us to do!?”

Katie flies in front of Chief, “If you don’t want to fight, then leave. I’m sure the council will listen to your reasoning for this. But these two are family, entity god or not, I signed up for this and if this thing will take my life, then so be it!”

Chief stared at her for a moment, ignoring the battle before him.

“Perhaps you should go! You’re more valuable than me anyway! Go! Tell the council what we’re dealing with down here!”

Without a word, Chief quickly flew next to her and grabbed her arm.

“What the hell are you doing,” she cried out.

“We are not staying down here! Look at him! He’s killing our kind as if we were flies! I’m not letting you throw your life away! I don’t care what your draconic relatives say to you!”

“Chief, I need to do this! They’re my family!”

“ A family that’s going to get you killed! I will not watch your parents fall into a depression! We’re leaving, now!”

Katie turned her head back to the titanic clash and grit her teeth. No! I can’t leave them!

She was suddenly being pulled off the planet and flying through space at intense speed. A minute passes and they both pass through the clouds of heaven and arrive behind the gates.

Chief lets go of her arm. “Katie, I’m sorry. But we both know that if we stayed, then we would have been killed.”

Katie stayed silent, lost in her train of thought, only thinking about the people they abandoned. She turned around facing Chief and closed her eyes, shaking her head.

“We just left those men down there, Chief,” she said in a quieter tone.

“I’m sorry. Sometimes you just gotta know when to run. We can’t save them all, Katie. I didn’t want to leave, either. But the demands of the dragons were too high.”

She scratched the side of her head as tears began to roll down her face. “Chief. Those men. My relatives.”

Chief approaches Katie and wraps his arms around her. “I know your family will persevere through this. They have fought this war a lot longer than we have even existed. As for the angels down there… I’m sorry Katie.”

Katie placed her hands on Chief’s shoulders and pushed herself back. “We have to go back down there!”

“No! Didn’t you just hear what I said?!”

Katie looks at him for a moment and gently falls back into his arms.

“I’m going to go tell the council about this and see what we can do. This entity god isn’t like the other ones we faced before,” Chief explains.

She nodded her head in silence.

“Alright, just stay right here for now. I’ll be back later. Do not go back down there!”

Chief lets go of Katie and leaps into the sky, flying towards a massive, white city in the distance. Katie stands idle for a moment before flying after him.

A few minutes pass. They arrive to a large, golden building. A white statue of a woman sat at the top holding a cross in her hand. Massive stairs guided them to a golden door, two angels are carved onto the door, both holding intersecting spears.

“Stay out here,” Chief tells Katie.

He pushes open the door and enters a golden, circular room. Surrounding him are four archangels, each of them sitting on a throne, floating high above him. They all stopped speaking and looked down at him in silence.

“Council,” the room echoed with Chief’s voice. “I have important news!”

An archangel sat in front of him, higher than the rest of his kinsmen. He replied with a calm voice. “What is it, Chief?”

“We encountered an entity god that shows signs of more intelligence and strength than the normal ones we face," he said while pacing.

“And why are you telling us this,” the archangel questioned. “Go back down there and kill it before it can get stronger.”

Chief stopped pacing and stared at the highest archangel for a moment. “I’m telling you this because the two leaders of the dragons are struggling to kill it.”

Another archangel to his left blurted out. “How are they struggling to kill one entity god?! They’re the greatest of their kin!”

“Andriel, stop shouting,” the highest archangel stressed. “Chief, right now all we’re working with is an entity god who possess more competence than the rest. There isn’t much we can do about that other than tell you to go after it and exterminate it.”

“There isn’t anything us angels can do to it, sir,” Chief replied.

“Then let the dragons deal with it,” Andriel shouted again. “Don’t waste our time telling us about a problem an angel can’t solve! If it was such an issue, then the dragons would come in here and tell us themselves!”

“They can’t because they’re locked in combat with it right now,” Chief blurted out.

“Then they will probably kill it. You worry too much, Chief, and waste our time. If this was so bad, then tell Seraphim Guidance instead of bothering us with a dragon's problem!”

“Enough,” the highest yells shouts. “Chief, leave this concern to the dragons. If it is as dire as you say it is, then Odraxon and Celenara will come to us themselves. Now leave.”

Chief lowered his head and spoke quietly. “Yes, archangel Eleteth,” he turned and walks outside the building, meeting Katie sitting on the top step. Chief sits next to her and leans forward.

“How did it go,” she asked.

He calmly shook his head. “I feel like I wasted mine, and their time”

Katie raised an eyebrow. “But this was important. Why would you think that,” she replied in a frustrated tone.

Chief let out a sigh. “They want to leave the problem to the dragons.”

“If the best two are struggling, then we should be a bit more worried! Hell, I’m still worried about them down there right now!”

“Just… let’s just continue our duty.” Chief stands up and walks down the stairs, “Let's go.”

Katie stands up and crosses her arms, please come back to me alive, she thought anxiously while walking down the steps, following Chief.
