The archangel leads them towards a portal and points at it. "I just got word from Celenara that there's an entity god there, and they need assistance!"
"Wait, an entity god? And they want our help?!" Katie blurted. "We already struggle with their forces! What the hell makes them think that we can fight their overlords! That's the dragon's job!"
"Calm down!" Chief shouted. "We have fought them before. They probably just want us to fight the minor forces while they handle it."
Katie crosses her arms and looks down at the grass. "I… I'm sorry. My impulses got to me."
Chief pats her back. "Ah, it's alright. We both understand your worry. Just please don't blurt out things like your uncle Odraxon. God knows that man has anger issues."
The archangel stands in silence and looks towards the portal and back at Chief. "Guys, the portal."
Chief and Katie both look at him and bow while talking in sync. "Sorry, archangel."
Chief raises his head and nudges his elbow on Katie's arm. "Let's go!"
They both run towards the portal and pass through it. They arrive in a hamlet, they saw buildings made of old and decrepit wood, soaked in water and being slowly swallowed by the black swamp beneath their feet. Drizzled rain fell from the bleak and gray sky.
"Where's the fight?" Katie asks Chief.
"Stay here for a moment." Chief ascends and looks over the horizon, seeing nothing but a black ocean.
"Nothing?" he questioned to himself.
"Over here!" a woman shouts. Chief turns his head towards the direction of the voice and see's a white-haired woman in gold armor sitting on a gray beach with three other people. Chief looks down and yells, "Katie! Follow me!."
She leaps off the ground and flies next to him. "You heard that too?"
Chief nods his head and points towards the woman, "Over here, Katie." They both fly towards her and land on the sand. "Queen Celenara!" Chief bows before her and looks at the other three, injured, on the ground.
Celenara conjures a golden light from her hands and hovers them above one of the injured. "I already assume you're wondering where the enemy is?" The wounds begin to glow white and vanish from sight. "They ran the moment they knew reinforcements were on the way. But I trust that they will return very soon."

Katie walks towards one of the other injured and begins to heal him. "Where are the rest of the reinforcements?" Celenara asked.
Katie raises an eyebrow and looks at her. "Now, that's a good question. Why were we the only two to show up."
The person Katie was healing stands up. "I'm fine! I'm fine! It was only a scratch!"
Celenara looks at him and shakes her head. "You almost got killed out there, Monzoga!"
He runs his hands through his blue hair and forces his head to the left, popping his neck. "Damn entity gods! They'll know my power soon enough! I will not be insulted by these fiends!
A dark-skinned man in thick, black armor towered over Monzoga and grabbed his arm. "Quit being so full of yourself! She is right! You almost got killed out there, you incompetent fool!"
Monzoga glares at him. "I almost got myself killed?! You're the one who charges headfirst without any thought! And this entity god seemed a lot smarter than the others! From what I've seen, he almost killed you!"
Celenara blurts out, "Odraxon! Monzoga! Stop arguing! We have to be prepared in case they come back!"
Katie placed her hand on her face and shakes her head in disappointment. "For them being the greatest of the dragons, they still bicker like an old married couple, Chief."
Odraxon looks at Katie and smiles at her for a moment. "They're coming back!" A green-haired woman shouts.
Everyone looks towards the sky and see's a creature coming towards the planet at breakneck speed.
"Everyone move!" Odraxon shouts. "I'll handle this!"
He leaps into the sky and transforms into a colossal-sized, black dragon. The creature he was charging at measured the same size.
"Can you still fight!?" Celenara yells at her injured. "Oh believe me! I can most certainly fight!" Monzoga conjures two pink lights from his hands and leaps into the sky.
"Genesis?! Tera'nul?! Can you fight?!"
Genesis's eyes glow a bright green as she turns towards the ocean. "There's something beneath the water!"
Katie conjures a beacon and hands it to Genesis. "Activate, and hold onto this! Reinforcements will be on the way!"

Frustrated, Celenara yells, "I wonder where the hell they were in the first place?!"
The water in front of them began to bubble. A brown hand covered in boils reached out of the water and places itself on the beach. Katie sprints towards the hand and summons her sword. She stabs into its hand and sends light through its arm. The creature let out a gurgled shriek as its arm disintegrated.
"More! There's a lot more!" Genesis cried out.
Katie's sword dissipates and is replaced with a white bow. "I expect no less from them! Come Chief! To arms!"
A white arrow made of light manifest in her hand, she puts the arrow to her string and pulls back, aiming at the water. A brown and rusty spear flies out of the water, aiming at her stomach. She swiftly dodges to the left, and fires her arrows into the water.
Genesis points at the water and flies into the air. "Incoming!"
A group of brown, fish-headed creatures, covered in boils and seaweed, sprint out of the water, running at Katie. She leaps into the air and shoots ten arrows into their skulls, killing them instantly. Celenara, Tera'nul, and Chief fly into the air.
"Take them out!" Katie yells to the dragons.
Tera'nul summons a clock in front of him and turns it towards Celenara increasing her speed. She shoots beams of light from her hands down on the creatures, burning their skin. Angels appear next to Genesis and spread out in the skies, they all conjure bows and rain arrows on the beach, and in the water.
Celenara flies next to Tera'nul and points to the sky. "I'm going to go help my brother! Focus your magics on our allies down here!"
Tera'nul nods his head and aims his clock at the angels. Celenara flies higher into the sky, quickly vanishing from sight.
Arrows kept raining from above, slaughtering the creatures, and Tera'nul's magic only made them faster.
"Keep at it," Katie shouts.
Suddenly, a harpoon drives itself through her back, sticking out of her chest. She feels it pull her back and slam her through one of the houses.
She is slammed into the water seeing nothing but darkness and the chain. Katie grabs a rusty chain, attached to the back of the harpoon, and pulls on it, pulling the creature into the water. She grabs its neck and summons her sword, and thrust the sword down to the head of the creature, only to have her attack halted by it suddenly smashing its fist against her face.
Dazed from the attack, it pulls its arm back, and punches a hole through her stomach. With another sudden spike of pain, she jerks her arm towards it and grabs its neck, and pulls up with all her might, ripping its head off. Katie feels her stomach and back aching as she reaches behind her and grabs the end of the harpoon. She pulls it out of her body, leaving a burning sensation. A golden cloud of blood leaves her wounds when the rusty weapon comes out of her back.
She pushes her head to the surface, narrowly dodging another harpoon from above. "Son of a bitch!" She shouted.
Another harpoon came from above and stabs into her shoulder. Katie grabs the chain and pulls the creature off the roof of one of the houses. She lets go of the chain and grabs the back of the harpoon, pulling it out of her shoulder. She leaps out of the water and lands on the roof of a house, coughing up a mixture of blood and water.
Chief lands next to her and picks her up. "There you are! Don't worry, I got you!"
"Look out!" Katie shouts.
Chief jumps into the sky, dodging the harpoon coming from behind. "The entity god is dead! We can get out of here!"
Katie summons a shining spear and throws it at the creature, impaling it through the head. "Good. Let's get the hell out of here!"

Midara: Requiem
"When the alternative is extinction, all acts, no matter how heinous, are permitted." The story of a little necromancer who only wants to play with abominations against all that is holy dollies and her horsey, Mister Clackybones. Welcome to the novelization of one script I designed for a video game setting I call Midara (I selected the name of a genus of moths for symbolism purposes, not to be confused with anything else). Once upon a time, I dreamed of the setting being the next Final Fantasy. Long story short: Nope. Requiem itself is meant to be an Open-World RPG which adapts to the choices of the player. This is just one of many, many paths that one might follow in Requiem's gameplay, if it ever becomes a game.
