《Eternity and Bones》first journey

Well, tomorrow is here. Today’s the day I leave on a quest to find out how to make a magic circuit! I’ve written a note for the innkeeper letting her know that I'll be gone for a long time, and that I'll definitely be back. Now I just have to find out where to go. Hey system, where should I look first?
{I believe heading east to the great Raughan desert would be the best option}
Gotcha! We’re going to the desert! Wait, which way is east again?
{would you like me to add a compass to your vision?}
You can do that?
{yes}
Yes! A compass would be very useful!
{understood}
Now! Onwards to the desert!
Ugh… are we close yet?
{you are [10.17]% of the way there}
Isn’t there any way we could go faster?
{perhaps try asking a traveling merchant to take you closer}
But we haven’t seen a traveling merchant for the entire journey so far, you expect to just randomly find one now?
{yes, because the reason I recommended asking a traveling merchant for assistance is because there is one right over there}
Huh? Wher- you’re right! Wait, how am I supposed to communicate with him?
{use a letter, like the one you gave to the innkeeper}
Ohhh right.
“Hm? You’re looking for a ride east? Sorry kid, but I'm a merchant, I ain't gonna help you unless you’re willing to offer something in return.”
Hm… something in return… I know! The innkeeper gave me some money for helping clean the inn! I can use that!
“Hm? Let’s see… yep this looks like enough. Hop on kid!”
Yes! Ride achieved!
“So, where’re ya headed, kid? The great Raughan desert? You sure you can survive there? That place is infamous for its deadly heat, ravenous monsters, and cruel thieves. I don’t think a kid like you can survive in a place like that.”

Wait, is that true? Monsters?! I’m scared of monsters! System! How could you tell me to go to a place infested with monsters?!
{I do not see a problem, you are strong enough to survive the monsters}
Huh? I am?
{of course, your defensive abilities are incredible for a mere skeleton monster}
Wait, really? Am I that good?
{no, I never said you would be able to fight back, I just said you would be incredibly hard to kill}
Oh…
“Oi kid, we’re stopping at this village for the night, so go rent a room at an inn!”
Ooh a village! I wonder what kind of books they have in the library?
Nothing. There’s nothing in the library. Are you kidding me?! What am I supposed to do while I wait for that old merchant if there’s no books to read!?
{detecting nearby unexplored ruins}
Ruins you say? This place might not be so bad after all!
{beware, these ruins appear to be completely submerged underwater}
That’s no problem for me! I’m a skeleton, after all! I don't need oxygen! Show me the way, system!
{understood}
Woah, they really are completely filled with water
{it would be wise to take off your armor before entering, as it could way you down}
Okay!
{also, due to you being a skeleton, it will be incredibly hard for you to maneuver yourself underwater}
Yeah yeah I'll keep it in mind.
{you are not listening to me}
Yep I'll be sure to remember that.
{sigh}
Let’s dive right in!
Woah! This thing is deep! Good thing I have system to help me see in the dark! Uh oh, a branching path already. System, which way should I go?
{left, the right path is trapped and leads to a dead end}
Thanks! Now, I wonder where the treasure is?

{warning: creature approaching from behind}
What?! System, if this is a joke it isn’t funny!
{no, I'm completely serious}
Find me the fastest way away from whatever it is that’s down here! Now!
{understood}
{route found, displaying}
System! That’s deeper in the ruin!
{yes, the creature is blocking the way back}
Then how am I supposed to get out!?
{...}
Great, not even you know how to get out. I’m screwed.
I’ve made it pretty deep now. I'm almost in the treasure room, but I'm not excited at all. Why? Because according to system that thing is still waiting for me up there. I only have 1 option, check the treasure and hope it’s something that could help me escape. Here we are. The treasure room. Well, only one thing left to do. T-this is-

Stolen by the System
Lost. Vulnerable. Alone. What would you sacrifice to get home? Kidnapped on the cusp of graduation, Jake is dumped into a deadly world of levels and magic. His dreams shattered again, he’s left with a choice: fight or die – and Death won’t let him go that easily. A savage wolf, a horrific secret, and an abhorrent quest make day one the second worst day of his life. Whatever bastard is pulling the strings is due one hell of a reckoning. On the plus side, there’s magic, and Jake’s got the stats to master it. Spells not included, but, hey, creating spells and programming are basically the same thing, right? At least Spellcrafting is slightly less suicidal than trying to stop the encroaching dungeon spawn threat. Because why wouldn’t there be an apocalypse in progress. All the more reason to find his way back fast. Unfortunately, the path home leads right into the heart of danger. Fighting monsters, dungeon delving, solving puzzles – whatever it takes, Jake is finding his way home. He’ll need allies. Powerful allies, like a trainee ranger who struggles to find her hairbrush. Pointy ears, executive dysfunction, and a perilously gutsy moral compass – what more could one want in a Companion? Alas, beggars can’t be choosers. He needs every edge he can get. Going home means finishing his quest. That quest. The quest that doesn’t deserve completion. Save your father, save the world. Update Schedule: Monday/Wednesday/Friday. Temporarily ad hoc.

Fermboi was a man of one ideal: make the weak strong. When his rebellion against the king proved futile, he was given another chance at life. This time, he sought to do nothing after realizing the hopelessness of it all. Aventina wanted to do nothing more than to follow her father’s footsteps. On a retaliation raid against her tribe’s enemies, her brothers perished. Spared by a leader of her enemies, she returned home to find herself the chief of her tribe. Bolahulag, half-civilized and half-barbarian, half-lowborn and half-royal. Raised in his mother’s civilized tent in a sea of barbaric shelters, Bolahulag was hesitant to follow his paternal way of life. After a battle between a civilized king and his father, Bolahulag was sent as hostage to learn the economy and military of the nation his father defeated. Derai knew nothing more than being an orphan, but when a merchant took her in, the world she thought impossible soon became a reality. Monghe, stuck in a school exemplifying strength for most of his life, began to understand what he needed to do in order to be strong instead of weak. Story is mostly about nothing. Fermboi does most of the nothing. Aventina does most of the military things. Bolahulag does a balance of economy and military. Derai focuses on economy. Monghe spitfires what it means to be a typical hero. Hopefully this is enough to give a general idea to people who don’t like going blind aside from the work being purportedly “good.” Who am I kidding, my writing is terrible. I hope it improves though.

Her Terrifying Love
While being chased by her abusive boyfriend, Lyla turns the tables, shoving him into the path of an oncoming car. But rather than calling the police, she and her friend, Jack bury the body deep in the woods. Instead of finishing her senior year in peace, Lyla is horrified to discover that her dead ex has returned for revenge. This genre-bending supernatural thriller weaves elements of murder mystery, romance, high school drama, humor, and, of course, a terrifying ghost story.(Excerpt from "Her Terrifying Love")Jack's chest heaved. "You said he was dead."Lyla inched closer and whispered, "He had no pulse!" "Maybe he was just stunned.""We carried him all that way," she said. "He wasn't breathing.""But maybe he woke up after we left him down there.""Woke up?! His neck was broken."Jack hung his head. He couldn't make sense of this."I know how this is gonna sound, but..." He choked on his words. "When I went to pick up my car from the body shop yesterday, he was standing across the street. Watching me.""Who was?!""Keenan. I swear to God.""No way," she asserted. "That's crazy talk. He's dead.""It was him." Jack nodded. "He had a frickin' giant tattoo on his neck." A shiver flashed down Lyla's spine. Jack confirmed what she'd been dreading. He'd been seeing the ghost, too.If you enjoyed "Her Terrifying Love," check out the sequel, "Dirty Secrets." https://www.wattpad.com/822348938-dirty-secrets-prologue
